EXTERIOR LIGHTING

In the 35 months that I have owned this vehicle I have had to replace a faulty brake light switch 9 times. I find this extremely unsafe as brake lights are a major saftey feature. This problem has been reproduced and confirmed by the dealer. I do not know if the component has been inspected by the manufacturer. There were warning lights with the vehicle forward looking radar for cruise control and swerve control. This first happened on August 9, 2023.

2017 Nissan Armada Zionsville, IN

EXTERIOR LIGHTING

Middle section of instrument panel lights are out. This is making it hard to see your speed while driving at night and in turn takes your eyes off the road for longer. Service center couldn't believe that a LED instrument panel would go out so soon. Additionally, something drains the battery if the car sits for more than a day. Several times I have not been able to start the car both at home and away. Battery has been replaced 3 times in the last year and a half. Last battery pulled was tested as still good by the service center. There were no warning lights or messages for these issues.

2018 Nissan Armada Charlotte, NC

EXTERIOR LIGHTING

The dashboard instrument panel lighting has begun to go dark. It started with a section of the odometer going dark and has since spread to a lot of the instrument panel. After researching it further it is a known issue among other Armada owners. It poses a safety risk as you can no longer glance at the panel to get information, but instead must look for a longer period of time to see the gauges. Below is a link to others who have experienced the same issue. I wrote Nissan about the issue and have not received a response. Thanks for your time and attention. EXTERIOR LIGHTING

There are several electrical problems with this vehicle that through research has proven to be a problem with several people with this vehicle. The speedometer lights only illuminate half of the numbers, which can cause an issue when its dark and you can't see your speed. The battery seems to be drained in about a year after installing new battery. The right rear tv in the headrest does not work properly as well as the cooled and heated seats on the driver side. This does not necessarily cause a safety problem, but it does seem to be assisting in draining the battery. This morning the car would not start, but when trying to turn the car off the vehicle remained on, no matter what was tried to turn off. It is a fear that the vehicle will cut off while driving and would put the driver and passengers in danger. This has been an ongoing issue and Nissan claims that this is a personal issue, due to it not being under warranty. When forums are created and several people are having the same issue, it is concerning and Nissan needs to take care of this situation.

2018 Nissan Armada Mena, AR

EXTERIOR LIGHTING

Parts of the dash lights are not illuminated. Seems to be a trend on the 2017-2018 models according to forms I have read. Dash replacements are roughly $1200 not including labor. Kind of steep to expect customers to pay with as many customers having the same issue.

EXTERIOR LIGHTING

I have noticed that on my 2018 Nissan Armada, has roughly 82,456 miles on it , an I noticed the RPM between 7/8 don't light up like the other numbers ! And I noticed while driving on the speedometer between 0-20mph on the dash will blink in an out while driving , it does it pretty often, it will stay off quit a bit an then light back up.

2015 Nissan Armada Lawrenceburg, IN

EXTERIOR LIGHTING

It is very easy to mistake turning on the wipers by turning off the lights while driving at night. This is very dangerous if performed at night. There is no lighting on the right or left function arms. This mistake has happened to all 4 drivers in my household. It should seriously be looked into as a safety recall.

2020 Nissan Armada Bayport, NY

EXTERIOR LIGHTING

I feel that there should be a more visible notification or warning if the headlights are not on at night. While driving at night on the highway a car in front of me rapidly switched lanes to avoid exiting the highway and nearly caused a major high speed accident. He didn’t see us because the headlights weren’t on. All of the dashboard lights come on even though the headlights are off- so it gives you a false sense that the headlights are on. There is a very small green light that comes on when the headlights are on, but there should either be no dashboard lights or a message that warns you about the headlights.

IN AUGUST 2020, I HAD TO JUMP START MY ARMADA DUE TO BATTERY DRAINED WHILE PARKED. THE VERY NEXT DAY, SAME THING HAPPENED. NISSAN REPROGRAMMED ECM IN SEPTEMBER DUE TO RECALL. WORKED FINE UNTIL OCTOBER 21, WHEN THE SAME PROBLEM OCCURRED AGAIN. I DROVE IT THAT MORNING, BUT WHEN I TRIED TO START IT THAT AFTERNOON, IT WOULD NOT START AND THE INTERIOR JUST FLASH ON AND OFF. HAD TO JUMP START AGAIN.

HAVING ISSUES WITH MY DOME LIGHTS STAYING ON, ONCE ALL THE DOORS, ARE CLOSED. I'VE HAD THIS CHECKED 3 TIMES, AT 2 DIFFERENT NISSAN'S AND KNOW ONE CAN FIND THE ISSUE. I'M PUTTING IT IN THE SHOP, LATER THIS WEEK I'VE HAD TO REPLACE THE BATTERY, DO TO THE DOME LIGHTS, BEING ON AND I HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE UNTIL MY FAMILY COMES HOME, OR MY NEIGHBOR LETS US KNOW. I JUST PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE IN MARCH 2020.

EXTERIOR LIGHTING

NOTICED CONDENSATION IN DRIVER'S SIDE HEADLIGHT APPROXIMATELY 4 YEARS AGO. HAS NEVER DRIED OUT. BULB IN DRIVER'S SIDE HEADLIGHT WENT OUT AND HAD TO BE REPLACED TWICE IN THE LAST YEAR. IT IS NOW OUT AGAIN AND HEADLIGHT HOUSING IS HOLDING WATER. THE BLINKER STILL WORKS BUT NOT THE HIGH AND LOW BEAMS. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE WHEN THE BULBS GO OUT. PICTURE UPLOADED OF WHAT IT CURRENTLY LOOKS LIKE.

2004 Nissan Armada Lake City, FL

EXTERIOR LIGHTING

THE LOW BEAM LIGHTS SUDDENLY STOP WORKING. THEY WERE WORKING TODAY DURING THE DAYTIME AND I HAD THEM ON. AS IT GOT DARK THE LIGHTS WOULD NOT COME ON. I TURNED THE LIGHT SWITCH ON AND OFF TO MAKE SURE THEY WERE ON. I PULLED OVER AND TURNED THE CAR ON AND OFF AGAIN BUT DID NOT FIX PROBLEM. THE HIGH BEAMS WORKED SO I HAD TO DRIVE WITH THOSE ON (EXCEPT EVERYONE KEPT FLASHING ME ON THE WAY HOME). I STOPPED AT AUTOZONE TO GET A NEW FUSE AND RELAY FUSE. THAT DID NOT WORK. WHEN I GOT HOME I PULLED ALL THE FUSES AND THEN PUT THEM BACK IN. CAR SAID NO KEY FOB BUT I DID HAVE IT. I LOCKED AND UNLOCKED THE CAR WITH THE KEY FOB THEN TURNED ON THE CAR AND THE LIGHTS STARTED WORKING AGAIN. DROVE IT THE NEXT DAY DURING THE DAYLIGHT (WHICH WAS TODAY) WITH THE HEADLIGHTS ON TO MAKE SURE THEY WORK. ONCE IT GOT DARK THE LIGHTS WERE NOT ON AND I WENT THROUGH THE ABOVE PROCEDURE AT HOME TO GET THE LIGHTS WORKING AGAIN (E.G., PULL ALL THE FUSES AT ONCE THEN PUT BACK IN THEN GO THROUGH THE KEY FOB ISSUES AGAIN THEN THE LIGHTS WORK AGAIN).
