VISIBILITY:WINDSHIELD
I have a 2024 Nissan Frontier PRO 4X. Front windshield leaks on the passenger side. Took it to the dealer roughly 7 times. After the purchase I notice water coming down the windshield. Took it to the dealer supposedly they thought it got fixed. After got home and the next time it rained and leaked again. Now 2 years later still having water trouble after being at the dealer several times still not fixed. Cleaning my truck inside notice my floor is soaking wet. Water running down A pillar running down to the floorboard. While some of the electrical devices are right where the water is lying. I feel this is a big safety concern with all the electrical connections. Also now my flooring carpet has mold on it and breathing this is unhealthy and unsafe. I just want it fixed!!

Heater does not warm up. Ran the truck for an hour and no heat to defrost windshield. This also occurs while driving and the defroster won't clear the windshield, and have to resort to using a rag. Looked for possible causes on the internet, and found this is a common complaint. There are many articles suggesting where to look for resolution. There was a similar complaint on this site listed under other from January of 2025. Being unable to keep the windshield clear with the defroster is a safety risk due to poor visibility or distraction while using a rag to clear it.

Dealer has verified that a gap around the windshield at the top of the passenger side in front of the sun visor is large enough to allow air into it as to create a whistling noise when reaching speeds of up to 70 mph. It is only a matter of time that water intrusion will occur & it is possible a windshield will lift & loosen & possibly may become airborne. I believe a recall should be issued immediately to fix the issue before a major incident occurs. Nissan is aware of the issue & is covering under warranty up to 36,000 miles only. For others who have extended warranties they are not covering the defect. With the amount of response on social media I would estimate that this issue affects well over 50% of Frontiers. It is a well known issue with the manufacturer yet they will not do a voluntary recall. They need help deciding to do the right thing!!

The rearview mirror has begun to delaminate causing a safety hazard of visibility. I have never once cleaned it with chemicals or touched the glass. I believe it was due to heat and vehicle parked outside over time. Temps do not get hotter than 97 degrees so this is a major concern for areas that receive high temps. Mirror is available for pictures or physical inspection. I will be bringing this to the dealerships attention during next service. The vehicle has 44,000 miles and this has never happened to any vehicle I have owned.

I was driving home or not and it was raining. I turned the windshield wipers on. They were working to begin with but after a few minutes, they just quit working altogether. You could hear the motor running for the wiper, but they just wasn’t moving so I had to see it on the side of the road to it. Quit raining so I could make it home. and couldn’t find the part to fix the windshield wipers so my boyfriend has rigged it to where it would work

The nut that holds the windshield wiper arm onto the vehicle backed itself off the bolt allowing the wiper arm assembly to pivot the wiper arm over the drivers side A pilar and rest on top of the drivers side rear view mirror where it got stuck, rendering the wiper inoperable This incident happened while driving on the interstate during a moderate rain storm, while traveling approximately 70-75 miles per hour. My own safety and the safety of others was compromised due to the lack of visibility out the front windshield while the wiper arm was not functioning and rain water was collecting on the windshield. Fortunately the at the time of the incident I was approximately 1/4 to 1/2 mile from an exit and was able to get off the interstate and wait at a gas station until conditions improved to the point the wiper was not needed. No waning lights or messages were produced by the vehicle, before or after the wiper malfunction. The vehicle was brought to the Nissan dealership it was purchased from, where they tightened the wiper nut. The dealership did not document this fix, so I contacted Nissan North America and an internal case was opened with them. At time of this report, I am still waiting to hear back from the dealership about taking the vehicle back to them to have it properly inspected and documented.

THE TRUCK HAS AN INSUFFICIENT HEATER FOR THE NORTH EAST'S COLD WEATHER. THE ENGINE WARMS UP QUICKLY, WITHIN 2 MILES. THE HEAT OUTPUT AT CHEST LEVEL TAKES AS MUCH AS 10-15 MINUTES IF NIGHT TIME TEMPS WERE LESS THAN 20 DEGREES F. AT THAT POINT. IT TAKES LONGER AT THE FLOOR LEVEL NO MATTER WHAT POSITION THE CONTROLS ARE IN. I FOUND THAT THE FLOOR LEVEL INDICATOR HEAT ALSO EXITS AT THE DEFROSTER AND THE OUTSIDE CHEST LEVEL VENTS. THIS LEAVES PAINFUL COLD AT THE FLOOR LEVEL FOR MORE THAN 20 MINUTES. ALL THIS IS MAXIMUM EFFORT FOR THE HEATER. THIS IS A HEALTH ISSUE FOR ME AS A DIABETIC WITH LEG BLOOD FLOW PROBLEMS AND RESULTANT VARICOSE VEINS. IS THIS A RESULT OF A RULING? I HAVE NOT FOUND ONE ON YOUR SITE. THANKS FOR THE HELP, [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

ON JULY 8, 2014 MY A/C STOPPED WORKING. I TOOK IT TO A LOCAL DEALER WHO LATER INFORMED ME THAT COMPRESSOR LOCKED UP AND SHOT METAL PARTICLES THROUGHOUT THE A/C SYSTEM. I HAD TO HAVE THE ENTIRE A/C SYSTEM REPLACED. NISSAN REFUSED TO REIMBURSE MY $2500 EXPENSE BECAUSE VEHICLE IS OUT OF WARRANTY. PLEASE, INVESTIGATE HOW THE ENTIRE A/C SYSTEM WOULD FAIL ON AN 82,000-MILE VEHICLE OF A RESPECTABLE BRAND LIKE NISSAN.

MY TRUCK WAS SITTING IN A PARKING LOT; DOORS LOCKED. CAME OUT OF WORK TO FIND MY REAR WINDOW SHATTERED AND BLOWN OUT INTO THE BED OF THE TRUCK. CALLED POLICE, INFORMED WAS NOT DUE TO CRIMINAL MISCHIEF. CALLED DEALERSHIP TO INQUIRE ON WARRANTY, WAS TOLD COULD POSSIBLY BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. ONCE THERE, MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT MANAGER INFORMED ME THAT THE WINDOW HAD BEEN TAMPERED WITH AND IS NOT COVERED UNDER NISSAN'S WARRANTY AND TO FILE A CLAIM THROUGH MY INSURANCE COMPANY. WENT TO SAFELITE FOR REPLACEMENT OF THIS SAID WINDOW AND WAS INFORMED TO CHECK FOR A RECALL FOR THIS VEHICLE AS ANOTHER MANUFACTURER HAD ADMITTED TO HAVING FAULTY WINDOWS INSTALLED AND WINDOWS WILL SHATTER FOR NO APPARENT REASON AND THAT HE HAS SEEN MANY OF MY TRUCK MODEL COME IN FOR REAR WINDOW SHATTERING AND NISSAN USES THE SAME COMPANY AS THE BEFOREHAND MENTIONED MANUFACTURER. THE DEALERSHIP HAS INFORMED ME THAT THEY HAVE NOT SEEN THIS SORT OF ISSUE BEFORE. HAVE TO MENTION THAT I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE NEW IN NOVEMBER 2013 AND IS CURRENTLY 5 MONTHS IN AGE. CAN'T IMAGINE WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF THIS WINDOW HAD SHATTERED WHEN I WAS DRIVING.

I NOTICED AT DRIVING SPEEDS OF AROUND 45 MPH THE TRUCK WOULD SHAKE VERY BAD. ALSO MY HEATER WOULD ONLY BLOW COLD AIR. WHEN I TOOK THE TRUCK IN THEY SAID THE TRANSMISSION FLUID LOOKED LIKE A STRAWBERRY MILKSHAKE. $6000.00 LATER AND LOOKING ONLINE SEEING ALL THE OTHER PEOPLE THAT HAVE HAD THE SAME ISSUES I AM TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHY NISSAN IS NOT BEING HELD RESPONSIBLE?

I TOOK MY VEHICLE IN FOR WIPER REPAIR AND THE TECHNICIAN ATTACHED A COMPUTER TO THE VEHICLE AND THE COMPUTER TOLD HIM THE WIPERS WERE FUNCTIONING PROPERLY. THE TECHNICIAN SAID HE COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM, THE TECHNICIAN DID NOT TURN THE WIPERS ON TO VISUALLY SEE THE PROBLEM AND DEPENDED ON THE COMPUTER FOR A RESOLUTION. THE SWITCH WAS REPLACED ($500.00) BUT THE PROBLEM REMAINED. A BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM <$700.00 PART>) WAS ORDERED PRIOR TO 25 NOV 2012 AND TO DATE 9 MAR 2013 HAS NOT BEEN RECEIVED. I HAVE DRIVEN FOR 4 MONTHS OF RAIN/SNOW SEASON WITHOUT PROPER WIPER FUNCTIONING. THIS HAS BEEN UNSAFE FOR MYSELF AS WELL AS MY PASSENGERS AS WELL AS OTHERS ON THE ROAD.[XXX] @ NISSAN CONSUMER AFFAIRS HAS NO ETA FOR THE PART, NO ANSWER AS TO WHY THE PART IS NOT AVAILABLE AND DOES NOT KNOW WHAT WILL BE DONE TO COMPENSATE FOR THE DELAY.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 NISSAN FRONTIER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE INTERIOR HEATER WAS ACTIVATED AND WOULD BLOW EXTREMELY HOT AIR WHEN DIRECTED TO THE FOOT VENT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE CONTACT WAS ADVISED TO SIMPLY CHANGE THE HEATER SETTINGS. THE CONTACT WAS CONCERNED BECAUSE THE HEAT WOULD BURN HIS FEET. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 150,000. UPDATED 10/05/11

FIRST NOTICEABLE COMPLAINT IS THE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION THAT DOES NOT SHIFT BACK DOWN IN LOWER GEAR WHEN CLIMBING A HILL. IT JERKS AND SHAKES AT THAT MOMENT.SECONDLY, THE TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR DOES NOT GO OFF AFTER CORRECTING THE TIRE PRESSURE AND KEEPING IT CONSTANT. WERE TOLD THE DEALER WILL HAVE TO RESET,WHICH THEY DID ONCE AND IT HAPPENED AGAIN SO FOR 2 YEARS WE HAVE JUST LIVED WITH IT, KEEPING CHECK ON TIRE PRESSURE THE OLD WAY. LAST BUT DEFINITELY NOT LEAST FOR THIS IS THE COST FACTOR INVOLVED, IS THE ALIGNMENT CANNOT BE DONE DUE TO NEEDING TO PURCHASE AND HAVE INSTALLED 4 CAMBER KITS! NISSAN SHOULD HAVE DONE THIS ALREADY FOR A $25,000 VEHICLE!! OH AND FINALLY THIS JUST HAPPENED BUT THE REAR PASSENGER POWER WINDOW SWITCH WENT COMPLETELY OUT!

THE SUNVISOR ON THE DRIVERS SIDE OF MY 2009 NISSAN FRONTIER DOES NOT STAY IN PLACE. IT HAS FALLEN NUMEROUS TIMES BLOCKING MY VISION WHEN DRIVING IN HEAVY TRAFFIC. ADDITIONALLY, WHEN THE SUNVISOR IS DOWN IT VIBRATES AT YOUR EYE LEVEL AND SEVERELY DISTRACTS THE DRIVER. NOW, I AM ALWAYS WATCHING THE SUNVISOR TO MAKE SURE IT DOES NOT BLOCK MY VISION. NOTE: I HAD THE DRIVERS SIDE SUNVISOR REPLACED WHEN THE TRUCK WAS ABOUT TWO MONTHS OLD.
