2024 Nissan Versa Winter Park, FL

VISIBILITY:GLASS, SIDE/REAR

Issue: The rear windshield suddenly imploded while the defroster was turned on while on the road, causing significant fear and glass debris. We were driving when it happened, sending glass all on the road. Photos are available. It's currently at the dealership, awaiting repair. The car has only been inspected by the dealer as far as I am aware. There was no warning messages or lights prior to shattering, only a strong electrical burning smell moments beforehand.

My car was parked out front my house. Weather has been in the 60’s no major differences. I walked outside ant 1pm and noticed the entire back windshield was shattered. There was no impact marks, no hole in the window. I’m not sure how this has happened and thankfully we were at home and not driving.

On the interstate from [XXX] to [XXX] the Nissan Versa's License Plate reflected light so bright that it blinded my ride and we had to slow down and wait for them to get farther away from us. This is not random, they have a spray fixative on their license plate designed to block cameras from clocking their license plate or their numbers being recorded. This was easy to see whenever a light is shined onto it, you can see the thin film of camera block spray that is extremely reflective. To whom it may concern the tint on all four of my doors is obstructing my site with Windows up my back window has bubbles all through it. Mike Erdman Nissan has replaced that one one time and it’s bubbled again. They refuse to replace the door window tint and said it was self inflicted. I have also tried to contact the tint department at the dealership numerous times and the dealership said they would have them call me back several times throughout the last four years and they have yet to do it. if you cannot help me, can you direct me to where I can get the help I need for my windows also the three pictures that I have sent in is from one of the windows with the window up the one with it down and the back window.

A critical safety concern arising from the evaporator core defect in the Nissan Versa relates to the vehicle’s inability to properly control interior humidity and prevent window fogging during rainy conditions. When the evaporator core fails, the air conditioning system cannot effectively dehumidify the air inside the cabin. As a result, drivers are forced to keep the windows rolled up in rain or inclement weather to avoid water intrusion, which causes moisture to accumulate inside the vehicle. This excess moisture leads to rapid fogging and clouding of the windows, severely impairing driver visibility. Reduced visibility directly increases the risk of accidents, creating a hazardous driving environment. Unlike a simple comfort issue, this malfunction compromises a fundamental safety feature—clear vision—making it not only a nuisance but a critical safety hazard. Therefore, this defect justifies urgent recall action to prevent accidents and protect drivers, passengers, and other road users from potentially life-threatening situations caused by impaired visibility. What’s even more troubling is that I’ve found I am not alone in this. Numerous Nissan Versa owners have posted online about experiencing the same A/C failure and evaporator core issues. This is not an isolated case. This is a pattern — and that makes it a manufacturing problem. A vehicle that cannot regulate its internal temperature in hot weather presents a real and immediate health risk. It should qualify as a safety defect under federal standards. Nissan must be held accountable, and the individuals responsible for the design, production, or approval of this flawed system must take responsibility. Consumer Complaints: There have been reports from Nissan Versa owners experiencing fogging windows due to AC issues. For instance, a 2017 Nissan Versa owner reported that all windows were unclear and covered with a film and spots, creating a visibility hazard while driving . (More examples)…could not fit

My windshield started to crack from the very bottom middle (just above the hood) and made its way up and splintered in multiple directions rapidly. I believe it's maybe heat related (probably defective) because I can't find an impact spot if it was a rock or something similar. I can feel the crack on the outside of the windshield at the very bottom (just above the hood) where the glass starts for about 3 maybe 4 inches, a nice little groove then after splintering in multiple directions I can no longer feel the cracks. Can you please look into this issue.

I purchased 2021 4 months ago. Two weeks ago on a very hot day my driver side visor broke. I called Nessan holiness and told them the visor drops. It obstructs vision of driving. I called today and first was put on hold, then call was disconnected. I recalled back and informed Nessan about driver side visor. As we were talking she asked me if I bought car with extended warranty. I said no. Car was sold as is. She hung up the phone on me. She did not call me back, nor did she explain why for hanging up the phone. I googled Nessan Versa driver side visor faulty and found several complaints by other owners about visor dropping down while driving do to cheap visor parts. I don't believe this is my responsibility or other Nessan owners to futuristic keep replacing the driver side visor. Nessan should have a recall on this problem and be forced to make a better quality visor to prevent possible accidents.

2015 Nissan Versa Falls Church, VA

After I bought my 2015 Nissan Versa with VIN: [XXX[ in April 2019, the water gained entry inside the car due to heavy rain a month later. The incident has continued to occur; Unfortunately, I had kept blaming it on the height between the parking ground and the car floorboard. The design flaws on the Versa allow water to collect below the windshield. When the collected water doesn't drain, so it flows into the car on the front passenger side floor below the compartment gloves area. It causes visibility problems during rainy and winter seasons since the inside car is not completely sealed causing insulation issues. I had to buy different products to address the visibility problems. My car got flooded last May 2022 to the point I had to get a cup to get some of the water out. I started hearing a sloshing sound and quirking sound when pressing on the brake not too long and so on. I initially paid $1,200 to repair the electrical problems to a Nissan dealer and later found out the harness needed to be replaced due to water damage costing $7,200. The design flaw made my car unsafe due to the visibility problem during inclement weather. There is a blog where 2014 through 2018 Nissan Versa owners describing the same issue I have been experiencing. I am dumbfounded Nissan has never bothered to address this issue for so long; very few people have a disposable income to pay for repairs or constantly buy a new car in less than 5 years. The sad thing, I had to borrow money from my life insurance to pay the car off. I know Nissan will use the inspection defense. Please keep in mind all the cars that have been recalled before passed inspection, so it is not a valid point. It was a cold February morning when a hard frost had hit our area. I was starting my car to defrost the windshield and warm up before work. After finishing up inside I hopped into my car and noticed a crack RIGHT AWAY!!! IT STARTED AT THE VERY TOP WHERE THE DEFROST STARTS and has now traveled through the middle towards the bottom. After taking it to a dealership the response gives was that it was a stress fracture....There sincerely needs to be a recall on the windshields of other models too..like my daughter's 2020 Rogue..hers did the same thing!!!! Make it right Nissan!!???

New car purchased 10/19/2021. Did not test drive at night. When I drove it the next night there is severe rear windshield refraction/distortion at night. Multiple head light reflections for every car behind. Unable to safely determine where cars are behind my vehicle. Contacted East Charlotte Nissan and made an appointment to have it fixed. When I arrived, the tint person told me it was a manufacturers defect and I would just have to get used to it. No one can safely drive at night when their rear view looks like this. Left the dealership and called back spoke with the service manager. They are going to remove the dealer installed tint today to see if that fixes this problem or if is fact it is a manufacturer defect.

my air conditioning is not working. i believe wires in my care are covered with soy which is an attractant to mice and rats and causes them to climb into my car and eat the wires, causing the car to malfunction. we need to outlaw and ban the use of soy feedstuffs on car wires, this is just ridiculous for allowing this to happen, to make cars a magnet for mice and rats.
