SUMMARY OF ISSUE: Water intrusion from a defective factory rear window seal flooded the Radio Frequency (RF) Hub module, causing severe, dangerous network communication (CAN bus) failures while driving. The removed RF Hub has been retained by the owner and is available for physical inspection upon request. SAFETY RISKS: Power steering repeatedly seizes/locks up while driving. Vehicle completely stalls and freezes in active intersections and at highway speeds on I-95. Instrument panel illuminates with all warning lights ("Christmas tree" dash) and prompts driver to "Put Vehicle in Park and Put Back in Drive" while actively moving in traffic. Vehicle experiences complete power loss, creating a severe rear-end collision hazard. TIMELINE & MILEAGE: 60,328 mi (Dec 2022): Initial electrical glitches reported to dealer prior to 100k warranty expiration. 92,733 mi (Sept 2024): Reported ongoing key fob loss, electrical anomalies, and TPMS drops. 168,492 km (~104,696 mi): Scanned multiple CAN bus "U-codes" (documentation available). 104,716 mi (Sept 22, 2025): Leaking rear window seal repaired by dealer. ~114,000 mi: Worsening symptoms and total vehicle stall. DEALER FAILURE & DENIAL: When repairing the window seal, the dealer failed to inspect for interior water damage or check underlying electronics. They refused to open/inspect the RF Hub, claimed they could not reproduce the intermittent issue, and are attempting to blame an unrelated "star connector." The owner opened the RF Hub casing and photographed clear galvanic solder corrosion and water damage directly under the leak point. Component has not been inspected by police, insurance, or manufacturer reps. PRIOR SYMPTOMS: Progressive TPMS loss, "Key Fob Not Detected" while driving, throttle surges at stops, parasitic battery drain, and full dash light warnings—worsening with humidity and rain.

The ABS control module and Hydraulic Control module are faulty and available for inspection. My safety is at risk because the vehicle will go into a skid upon hard braking (ABS not fuctioning), the vehicle will spin tires upon acceleration (traction control inoperative). The above listed components have been determined faulty by both the dealership and an independent service center. The component is on national backorder (according to the dealership) due to how common this issue is. The ABS, traction control, and brake light stay illuminated as well as the dashboard "message center". I'm in disbelief of there not being a recall for something so dangerous. I travel for work and tow my travel trailer and now am unable to do so safely. The fact that the modules are on backorder is a testament to how common this issue is.

My 2019 Ram 1500 has had a failed ABS control module for several months, which disables critical safety features including ABS, traction control, and cruise control. While entering the interstate on an on-ramp during light rain and under normal driving conditions, the loss of traction control contributed to a sudden loss of stability, causing the rear of the truck to break loose and the vehicle to spin. No other vehicles were involved, but the situation created a serious safety hazard and could have resulted in a crash. The vehicle continues to operate without these safety systems, significantly impairing safe handling and braking. I have been informed that the required replacement module is on extended backorder with no estimated availability, leaving the vehicle in an unsafe condition for an extended period of time.

RF Module lost connection to CAN Bus and caused the vehicle to shutoff while driving. Symptoms include messages about key fob not within range and TPMS not able to communicate with sensors. RF Module was replaced however the issue returned. Other symptoms include parasitic draw caused by RF Module that in turn causes the system to report low voltage while driving. Vehicle has left me stranded on more than one occasion due to RF Module failures. These situations where preceded by no starts and shifter errors. Most of these issues can temporarily be resolved by disconnecting the main battery for extended periods. Dealer or service center has not reproduced the issue. Dealership inspected the RF module during installion of a new RF module after a water leak. The issue first appeared after the dealership repaired the "backlite" window, which was leaking on to the RF module. I suspect this might be related to system updates installed during the window installation service call. All of this started in early 2024.

SEE FULL COMPLAINT NOTES IN ATTACHED PDF; SUMMARY HERE (you do not provide sufficient space to provide all info you request) I own a 2019 Ram 1500 4WD Limited (not eTorque). On multiple occasions, the vehicle has unexpectedly shifted out of Drive into Neutral while driving. When this occurs, a warning chime dings and a message on display directs me to “Shift to Park”. The vehicle immediately loses forward power (because it has shifted itself to Neutral), until I come to a complete stop, shift to Park, and then shift back to Drive to move forward. Usually the engine stays on, but on at least one occasion the engine turned off and I had to restart. This has happened at least five times total, including three times within the past month. The events have occurred while decelerating to a stop, braking but not stopping, and accelerating from a slow down. Each time, I experienced a sudden and unexpected loss of propulsion, requiring me to stop the vehicle in traffic, shift fully into Park, and then reselect Drive before the vehicle would move again. These incidents have occurred in active traffic situations and have placed me and others at risk of a collision due to the sudden loss of power (SEE DETAILS IN PDF). I previously brought the vehicle to a dealer for this issue after it had just occurred (~1 year ago, before the recent increase in frequency); however, the dealer stated that the vehicle did not throw a code, or no code was stored. They could not replicate the problem and no repair was made. There are at least 55 NHTSA complaints filed that appear the same as my issue; none appear to have been resolved by dealers or RAM. This appears to be a systemic safety defect involving the powertrain and electronic shifting system. The unexpected loss of propulsion in traffic presents a serious risk of injury or death. I am submitting this complaint due to the ongoing and unresolved safety concern. I am scared to drive my family in my vehicle until it is known to be fixed.

The contact owns a 2019 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while driving approximately 70 MPH, there was an abnormal sound coming from under the hood, and a burning fuel odor was entering the cabin of the vehicle through the air vents, before the vehicle lost automotive power. The electronic throttle warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was towed to a local dealer, where it remained for further investigation. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000.

On August 20, 2025, my 2019 Ram 1500 Laramie was taken to the dealership for diagnosis after showing the warning “Electronic Stability Control system needs service,” along with a flashing check engine light. The dealer pulled diagnostic codes and documented U0403-00 (“Invalid Data Received from Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Control Module A”) as well as other communication errors. This is the same defect covered under Stellantis’ recall for ABS module failures that disable stability control in 2019 Ram trucks. However, my VIN is not included in the recall. A few years ago, the truck experienced the same warning, but the problem cleared on its own. Now it has returned and is documented with codes in the dealer system. The dealership acknowledged other recalls were already completed on my VIN, but refuses to perform this safety recall since my VIN is not listed. ABS and ESC failures are not the result of consumer behavior. This is a faulty system created at the time of vehicle manufacturing. There has been no accident or outside damage, and nothing the owner could have done to avoid this issue. The defect lies with the vehicle’s design and creates a serious safety risk for the driver and others on the road. I believe my VIN was excluded from the recall in error and request that NHTSA investigate and expand the coverage.

I took my 2019 Ram 1500 to a Ram dealer on 10/21/2024 for the Anti-lock Breaking System Module Configuration Mismatch safety recall 75B/NHTSA 24V-653. There were no warning lights on in my vehicle when it was dropped off. When the dealership attempted to apply the safety recall it caused something in the ABS module to fail, and they then said I needed a new ABS module that will cost $500-$700 to replace. This failure has disabled traction control, antilock braking, and auto start/stop. The dealer said they did not have the ABS module and had no ETA as to when it would be in stock. The ABS module has been out of stock nationally for months with no estimated time of availability. Now, there are warning lamps and messages for the ABS and Traction Control. Now, I am unsure if the vehicle is safe to drive in adverse conditions where ABS and traction control would likely be needed. At the very least, a major part like an ABS Module should be available for a fairly late model vehicle. This defect "repair" has obviously caused the ABS Module failure. The dealer tried to say there was already something wrong with the ABS Module before the repairs were attempted, but neither I nor they noted any warning lamps or messages before the repairs were attempted. If the module had already failed but did not produce any warnings, that sounds like another defect that they should be required to repair.

While driving my ram truck, a notice goes across the cluster center saying to shift vehicle to park. No other lights go on like check engine lights etc. But the truck goes to a complete stop and makes you shift in to park then back in to drive this is dangerous because it happens to me while I am driving to include one time coming off the off ramp on the freeway possibly making someone rear end me due to the vehicle stalling I have seen lots of these issues on the ram forum this is downright dangerous. I will take it to the shop but others who have had the same or similar issues state there is no fix and it is random so it is hard to reproduce.

I have warning lights stating that there is a problem with the antilock brake system, and another warning about the brakes. The electronic stability light is on , and the truck won't allow me to turn the ESL warning on or off. And also, my cruise control doesn't work, which stems from the ABS . There is an existing recall, which includes the year, make and model of my truck, but for whatever reason, my trucks VIN number is not included on the recall. The recall that I speak of, is : Campaign number: 24V653000 I've contacted RAM, and they said for me ⁶vto take it to the service department, the service department said they can't do anything about it.Sept

My 2019 Ram 1500 is experiencing the exact same issues listed in recall 75B but my VIN number is not part of the recall. The symptoms that it is having are the exact ones listed in your recall from 9/11/24 concerning the ABS and stability control issues. It is very disheartening that there wasn’t a better investigation done on this issue either on your end or on Ram’s end. I’m sure there are plenty more vehicles that are affected that aren’t in this recall. My truck did it as I was going highway speeds (70mph) and the abs and stability control issues also disengaged my speed control as I was on the highway. It was a good thing there wasn’t another car behind me or I would have been struck from behind.

Chime comes on. Then displays parksense temporarily unavailable. Then a few seconds later another chime and a display come on and reads service shifter. And if my cruise control is on the vehicle disengages the cruise control. When this happens occasionally will disengage the transmission and I will have to pull over and shut the vehicle off then start it back off. Then it will let me put it back in gear. When the vehicle will also start up sometimes and the shifter will not let me put it in gear. Then I’ll shut it down. Restart it then it will be ok. The vehicle has been in Ram service department 4 times. Twice in Nevada and twice in California. They haven’t been able to rectify the problem. The first time in the shop was back in May. The last time was in August. And it’s going back in Sept 10 th.

Car went in limp mode then in full lock down. ABS control module failed After research a very common issue. Hundreds of Ram vehicles affected. Just escaped being hit as the truck went in limp mode. After Gear selector locked car in park, I was in the middle of the road with cars approaching. Had to stand behind the vehicle and wave, so no one would crash into me. Chrysler/ Dodge/Ram is aware of this issue. They are also not releasing ABS modules, due to being under engineer review, meaning they are unable to provide a safe part. Many trucks with super low mileage, and mine has 40K. I would feel very uncomfortable to go on a road trip, if it will ever get fixed. The contact has an email with Ram acknowledging the safety issue and diligently to get the part for repairs.

This has happened twice now in the 3 months that I have owned the truck. I was driving at the speed limit, 55 mph, went down a hill and as I started to come back up the hill the gas pedal went to the floor and the rpms topped out at 4000, I shifted to neutral and managed to get into a driveway. I turned the truck off and back on 3 times and it immediately idled at 4000 rpms, in drive, neutral, reverse and park. This was on a curvy two lane highway and could have resulted in a very bad crash. The truck is currently at a shop. The floor mat was not stuck

Vehicle would not shift out of first gear. Turned off vehicle and turned back on, still would not shift out of first gear. Our safety was at risk because we could not drive the minimum speed limit. We have not been able to get into a mechanic yet, we pulled it over at a shop nearby and they are booked out so we are waiting inspection and without our vehicle, but wanted to report the issue as we have seen online that many people have had the exact same issue and they also report that it is hard to replicate, that it is random when this issue occurs. Police witnessed our inability to drive fast. Based off of how many people I have seen have complained about this issue online I would hope a recall would be made as this is clearly a malfunction of this vehicle and a safety issue. The vehicle is undriveable and we do regular maintenance checks for this vehicle. This issue just came out of the blue. There was a light that came on at the time of the issue that said "service trailer break" and "service electrical stability control", we have not tried to turn it on since we had to leave it at the shop.

I bought a 2019 Ram July of 2022 - I drove it home and pick up my dad to drive my old truck back (didn’t trade it in), as I was pulling up to the dealership, I experienced a huge safety issue with the truck continuing to accelerate after multiple alarms were flashing on my dash - service electronic stable control, service electronic throttle control, parking break - along with others. I pulled it into the dealership and the salesman who sold me the truck just happened to be outside - pulled up and told him I wasn’t shutting this off until we get something hooked up to it to see what the issue is.. they hooked it up and it threw a code for Traction control (I believe). They ended up keeping the truck for a week - then they said they replace a relay and the found a pinched wire…. So this happened at 32,000 miles.. Now almost a year later, the exact same thing happened tonight on Easter while I had my entire family in my truck! Went over a couple bumps on a rough corner of a road about 30 foot from a stop sign. My dash lit up like a Christmas tree with multiple alarms popping up and the truck continued to accelerate through the stop sign! I ended up getting the truck stopped in the middle of the intersection after I realized what just happened, luckily there was no one in front of me or at any of the stop signs as I went through! I was only 2 miles from mg house, so I took it slow, but the truck continued to accelerate each time I took my foot off the break! It was like hitting resume on your cruise control on the interstate after you slowed down. Finally made it home and took pictures of the alarms that were still present. Let my truck sit there for about an hour and started it up and it shows no messages stored but the check engine light is on. If tonight happened at a busier intersection, I could have put my family in a life-threatening situation! I have to other ways of transportation, I am taking a risk and putting others at risk driving to work.

Our defrost system on windshield is only working on one side. First things first, the Vin number and the picture listed does not match our vehicle so I will be calling the the safety line to get it fixed. When googling the Dodge recalls. It popped up as a recall but I guess it’s not on our vin number dodge yet? Then the truck automatically started smelling like antifreeze. When driving it sometimes loses power to the gas pedal and starts to slow down! The back windshield started leaking the same day as the defrost malfunction. There is no dash signal when there’s low air in tires….. And depending on speed of the dodge started making like dying whale moaning sounds. When turning the truck off, it stops for a minute, but then it starts again. This truck only has 50,000 miles on it and it should not be tearing up this quick as it is. When pushing the push start on and off, it always goes into a cc mode instead of turning off Last but not least the gas tank is malfunctioning when you put the gas pump into the tank I think the gas is leaking out and you have to constantly reset the gas pump handle. Also, the tailgate is getting stuck and you cannot open it. I’m afraid it’s going to come open when driving. Thank you for your time. Hope to speak with you soon. The instrument cluster screen in the driver dashboard has gone completely blank. You cannot see the mileage on the truck or any of the information about the truck. I went to dealer who quoted $1300 to replace the screen. I was on the highway going 65mph when the screen went completely blank and I had no control over the cruise control. Luckily I was able to get the truck to stop. My concern is that when these screens go dead and you are using something like cruise control, you no longer can see anything happening in the vehicle when the screen goes dead. Ram has refused to fix the problem for me. This all started after I did an over the air update and it bricked my dashboard screen afterward.
