EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL:INFOTAINMENT

See attached document for complaint. We are writing to express our concerns regarding ongoing and unresolved issues with our 2024 Chevrolet Tahoe High Country Deluxe Package, which we purchased on [XXX] from Titus-Will Chevrolet in Olympia, Washington. Our vehicle was ordered on [XXX] and delivered with 12 miles on the odometer [XXX]. The total purchase price was $97,889.61. This vehicle is equipped with a 6.2-liter Ecotec VB engine and a 10-speed automatic transmission. Since shortly after purchase, we have experienced intermittent audio output problems. With these problems, there is no audio for the radio, phone calls or mapping directions from any of the apps. Incoming phone calls do not connect and outgoing calls cannot be made. Despite multiple service visits-[XXX] as well as documented audio output issues my wife recorded and dated due to the fact that the dealership is 50 miles away: [XXX] We have also driven our vehicle into the Titus Will dealership service department twice when the audio output was not working so the service techs were able to see exactly what was not working-the issues are still unresolved even after updates from the service department and over the air updates that were to "FIX" the issues per GMC/Chevrolet. Our dealership has been unable to identify or correct the defect. Additionally, we received a Safety Recall Notice (N252494000) on May 20, 2025, concerning a potential loss of propulsion in the 6.2-liter engine, which may lead to catastrophic engine failure and increased risk of a crash or harm. We were surprised to learn that this recall was issued on April 24, 2025-prior to our purchase date-yet was not disclosed by the dealer at the time of sale, which also appears to be deceitful on GMC's part. We would not have accepted the vehicle knowing there were catastrophic engine problems as we travel the highways often visiting family in Idaho and Spokane as well as taking care of our elderly parents this last year with their medical care transports. When we contacted Titus-Will Chevr

The contact also stated that there were other images displayed on the screen. There were no warning lights illuminated. NHTSA complaint #11674050 — an unverified report by a vehicle owner.

2022 Chevrolet Tahoe San Diego, CA

TRAILER HITCHES

The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe used to haul a 2023 Wanco WLTV FD-304 Rev A Lighting Structure. The contact stated the Wanco Lighting Structure had a narrow wheelbase and that the lighting mast failed to fold down, and that all the weight remained at a high level. In addition, the diesel engine was behind the axle instead of on top or behind the axle instead of on top or in front causing the trailer to pull off the hitch. The contact stated that the hitch coupler was bent outward and disconnected from the ball. As a result, the contact stated that the failure caused the trailer to tip over while turning. The San Diego Police Department's Fleet Safety Division diagnosed that the weight hitched on the Wanco Lighting Structure did not support the specification limitation. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was not available.

VEHICLE BARELY 3 YEARS OLD AND THE AC COMPRESSOR IS BROKEN. BLOWING HOT AIR. CONTACTED GM AND WAS INITIALLY TOLD THERE WAS NO RECALL ON THE AC SYSTEM. AFTER RESEARCHING ONLINE AND DISCOVERING THE CLASS ACTION LAWSUITS AND THE ASTONISHING NUMBER OF COMPLAINTS FOR 2015-2017 CHEVROLET TAHOE'S, WE CALLED BACK AND WERE TOLD OUR VIN WAS NOT COVERED. I FIND IT VERY COINCIDENTAL THAT THE SAME MAKE AND MODEL AS OUR VEHICLE AND SAME YEAR HAVE A DEFECTIVE AC SYSTEM WITH THE SAME DEFECT AS OURS, BUT OURS JUST HAPPENS TO BE NOT INCLUDED. THIS IS MY 3RD AND LAST CHEVROLET TAHOE.

THE DASH BOARD IS CRACKED IN THREE DIFFERENT SPOTS AND ONE IS RIGHT AT THE PASSENGER AIR BAG. THE DEALERSHIP WILL NOT FIX CAUSE IT'S NOT UNDER WARRANTY. I FEEL LIKE THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD AND GM NEEDS TO FIX THIS ISSUE.

2015 Chevrolet Tahoe at 3,000 miles Goleta, CA

EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY

UPON PURCHASE OF A NEW 2015 TAHOE I OBSERVED THE POSSIBILITY OF A PROBLEM WITH THE FORWARD COLLISION ALERT SYSTEM (FCA). I REPORTED THIS TO THE SERVICE MANAGER AT CHEVROLET. ON 9 APRIL 2015 THE SERVICE MANAGER, ASSISTANT SERVICE MANAGER, MASTER TECHNICIAN, AND I TOOK THE VEHICLE FOR A TEST DRIVE. WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE AT MODERATE HIGHWAY SPEEDS I DEMONSTRATED THE VARIOUS PHASES AND OPERATION OF VEHICLE DETECTION. THE FCA HAS PLENTY OF SENSITIVITY AND DETECTS VEHICLES IN EXCESS OF THE SPECIFIED DISTANCE IN THE OWNER'S MANUAL WHICH IS NOT AN ISSUE. AT A MODERATE CLOSING RATE BETWEEN VEHICLES THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER ICON CHANGES FROM GREEN TO AMBER-ORANGE WHICH APPEARS NOMINAL. HOWEVER, THE RED ALARM HEADS-UP WINDSHIELD DISPLAY, RAPID HIGH-PITCHED BEEPS AND RED ICON ARE NEVER ACTIVATED UNTIL A CLOSING DISTANCE ABOUT ~3 FEET BEFORE A COLLISION. THERE IS VIRTUALLY ZERO REACTION TIME FOR A DRIVER TO BRAKE THE VEHICLE AT LESS THAN ONE CAR LENGTH BEFORE GOING TO RED. IN ADDITION, THE SYSTEM IS SUPPOSED TO DISENGAGE THE ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL (ACC). CONSIDERING TIME, RATE, AND DISTANCE THIS IS INEFFECTIVE AS THE MASS AND KINETIC ENERGY ALSO NEEDS TO FULLY DISENGAGE BEFORE A POTENTIAL COLLISION. BECAUSE OF THE DANGER OF CREATING A TRAFFIC INCIDENT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TESTED TO THE LEVEL OF A FULL COLLISION. I WAS INFORMED BY THE SERVICE MANAGER THAT THERE ARE NO SERVICE BULLETINS, ADJUSTMENTS, OR SOFTWARE PATCHES THAT MAY CORRECT THIS DEFICIENCY BY THE DEALER. GM STATED THAT THE SYSTEM WORKS AS DESIGNED AND DELIVERED. THE GM FORWARD COLLISION ALARM (FCA) DELIVERED PRODUCT APPEARS TO HAVE A DESIGN DEFICIENCY AND IS AN OPERATIONAL SAFETY HAZARD WAITING TO HAPPEN. IF THE FCA DOES NOT FUNCTION PROPERLY THEN WHY INTRODUCE IT TO A CONSUMER REGARDLESS OF GM OWNER MANUAL WARNINGS ABOUT TRUSTING ALERT SYSTEMS.

WHEN THE RADIO IS TUNED TO CERTAIN RADIO CHANNELS, THERE IS A PRESSURE THAT FORMS IN THE VEHICLE WHICH IS SIMILAR TO WHEN FLYING AND YOUR EARS WON'T POP. THE VEHICLE ENGINE DOES NOT NEED TO BE RUNNING. THE PRESSURE IS UNBEARABLE AT ALL VOLUMES CAUSING TERRIBLE DIZZINESS AND UNENDING PAIN FROM TEMPLE TO TEMPLE.

EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY

DASH BOARD IS CRACKING FOR NO APPARENT REASON. IT HAS CRACKED ON THE DRIVERS SIDE AS WELL AS AROUND THE AREA WHERE THE AIR BAG IS KEPT. MY FEAR IS THAT BECAUSE OF THE CRACKS THE AIR BAG COULD POSSIBLY DEPLOY WITH NO WARNING WHILE DRIVING AND CAUSE ME TO HAVE ACCIDENT OR TO CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. THERE HAVE BEEN NUMEROUS REPORTS ON THE GM MODEL 2007 - 2014 TAHOES, YUKONS AND TRUCKS THAT THE DASHBOARDS ARE CRACKING IN THE SAME AREAS ON ALL OF THE VEHICLES AROUND THE AIR BAG.

EQUIPMENT

BOTH THE FRONT DRIVER AND PASSENGER INSIDE DOOR HANDLES OF THIS VEHICLE, A 2009 CHEVY TAHOE LTZ, WHICH HAVE A CHROME COLORED PLASTIC COATING, HAVE BECOME SHARP AS A RESULT OF PEELING ON THE TOP OF THE HANDLE, CAUSING CUTS TO THE FINGERS OF THE DRIVER AND PASSENGERS OF THE OCCUPANTS. CALLS TO GENERAL MOTORS WERE MET WITH ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF AN EXISTING AND KNOWN PROBLEM WITH THIS PARTICULAR PART IN THIS MODEL VEHICLE AND TRIM LEVEL, HOWEVER ACCOMMODATIONS ARE ONLY BEING MADE TO REPLACE/REPAIR THOSE THAT WERE INSTALLED IN MODEL YEAR 2007. THE AREA OF THE PEELING "CHROME" IS IN AN IDENTICAL LOCATION ON THE IDENTICAL PART ON THE IDENTICAL TRIM LEVEL OF THE IDENTICAL MODEL OF VEHICLE INCLUDED IN THE REPLACEMENT PROGRAM. IT SEEMS AS THOUGH GM HAS LIMITED ITS INCLUSION OF REPLACEMENT/REPAIR TO A LIMITED AMOUNT OF VEHICLES AS MANDATED/SUGGESTED BY NHTSA BASED UPON ITS INVESTIGATION, HOWEVER IT IS EVIDENT THAT THE SCOPE OF THE INVESTIGATION NEEDS TO BE WIDENED TO INCLUDE ALL VEHICLES AND OWNERS WHO ARE/WERE AFFECTED BY THE SAME PROBLEM. I HAVE DOCUMENTED THE INJURIES WITH PHOTOGRAPHS AND NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS TO GM REQUESTING REPLACEMENT/REPAIR HAVE PROVED UNSUCCESSFUL.
