I was traveling at south bound on TOLL 130 going 80MPH (which is the speed limit on that road) when my Pacifica immediately slowed down and my accelerator gave out. In addition to my dash flashing that the cruise control was no longer available, but the van also said "Service Charging System" and "Shift to P to Start", the engine light and batter light both came on. I am sure that I almost died as I was in the middle lane and cars were whipping around me since I had slowed down so much, there was an 18 wheeler behind me and one of my righthand side, which is the shoulder I was trying to get to. I was finally able to coast to the shoulder and came to a stop, put the car in park and turned it off. I immediately started researching what the problem could be and I was alarmed to find out that this is an issue that others have had and that Chrysler has failed to issue a recall...I was able to start the car once more and get on to a little back road, after pushing through a barricade off the toll just for safety's sake, and my van broke down again, this time on a little 2 lane road, which thankfully had a little bit of a gravel shoulder. This time, my van took quite a bit longer to get started, but I was not safe where I was. I started it once more and was able to get to a Wal-Mart parking lot where my brother-in-law picked me up so that I could have a chance of making it to see my grandmother who was on her deathbed, I missed my window of opportunity to make it to see her, she died that afternoon. I had to pay an additional tow fee to get the vehicle moved from the parking lot to a Chrysler dealership since it was so far from where I usually go.

We received multiple reminders for the recalls to be addressed, but each time we make an appointment at various service centers, they say that they cannot address the recall due to staff shortage and parts not being available. This has been persisting for over 4 years. Chrysler does not make a good faith effort to address these recalls. Most recently, we had an appointment and they (Spring Autonation in Spring, TX) told us that they would have to hold the car for weeks before being able to get to it due to shortage of staff as they only have two service members who can address it. Helfman Dodge said they holding time would be 3-4 weeks before being able to get to it. Teh reminders for the three recalls are coming from the dealerships, and yet they are not able to address them.

Vehicle had been operating less than 5 minutes. When I was on an on-ramp for a left entrance to a highway, several warning lights illuminated in addition to messaging on my dash. The car entered "turtle mode" which extremely limited the speed of the vehicle. I immediately pressed the button for my hazard lights to come on, but they did not operate correctly. They flashed so rarely that they did not warn vehicles behind me that I was having an incident. During this incident, the vehicle speedometer was inoperable, displaying "-- --" instead of a speed. I was lucky to be able to pull to the shoulder, but with the narrow shoulder and my child in the car I felt safer limping off the highway using primarily the shoulder. I was terrified and had some cars nearly hit me/honk as I was going approximately 10 miles per hour on a 55mph roadway. I have seen similar reports on online forums for chrysler pacifica minivans, so I am not the only one to encounter the issue. The vehicle has also at times refused to go into gear while in Park, which is a related problem but I don't deem it a safety issue. The problem is intermittent and the service center is able to see 'codes' when they examine the vehicle but as the issue is intermittent they have returned the car to me twice with no repairs performed since it didn't occur while they had it. The warning lights and turtle mode occurred simultaneously or within a few seconds. I have a video during the incident. I can see the fuel gauge needle rising and falling wildly, turtle mode, a picture of a wrench, check engine, parking brake, brake, collision avoidance, ABS, and others. Each time the vehicle has gone in for service they have seen and cleared codes but they did not come back immediately, so no repairs were attempted. It is in the shop again currently and I have escalated to the manufacturer to hopefully get greater assistance.

UNKNOWN/RECALL NOT BEING FIXABLE FOR MONTHS: due to a recall from mid-2024 which cannot be fixed, the vehicle is no longer safe to have parked in my garage, near my home, next to other vehicles, and is now not able to be used as intended. The risk of fire and/or explosion should require a manufacturer buyback. These vehicles have been dangerous for MONTHS.

When driving downhill, at highway speeds, the following warning comes on and the car loses power: "Stop Safely Vehicle Will Shut Off Soon". A red turtle symbol also comes on. I had to pull aside, shut off the vehicle, wait a few moments then start again. I brought the vehicle to the dealership on Nov 10, 2024.

Vehicle check engine light came on preventing state inspection, at same time message on dash states "service charging system" . Using the oem charger 120v. Many complaints online say clear the code and power cycle the circuit and charger. Did both and code persists. Battery not charging affecting fuel economy and raising emissions above the stated usage average due to no battery assist. Try clearing codes no luck. OBD code P0d27 is permanent. Try using OEM level Opus access, factory tech says its a known issue, Tried clearing code no luck. This defect could cause vehicle to have no electric propulsion causing stall if gas engine died and lead to a collision. This defect should be recalled and corrected with a module or software update so generic scan tool or automatic monitor resets upon removal and replug of charging cable. Dealer tech says the IDCM is the cause. 30625 miles. This is causing higher than expected emissions, gas costs, and possible accident risk.

The unresolved recall with no remedy stems from an earlier recall is entering its fourth month with no further communications from the manufacturer about the status of the remedy. There has been no compensation provided to car owners with increased carrying costs due to the manufacturing failures, decreased car valuation due to repeated failed attempts to remedy the same recall, nor indirect costs of extended stress and fear. I am unable to park my car by my house due to the fire risk, which has required me to buy monthly parking passes. I am unable to charge my car, which has caused increased gas costs. I previously paid to install a level 2 charger in my home, which I am unable to use. Additionally a concerning electrical noise has started to occur when starting the car or long after turning the car off. I am continually anxious about driving this car with my children, but I have no other choice to continually put all of us at risk. I purchased a brand new 2024 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid on September 23th 2024. It was delivered the next day and after driving just for 2-3 miles, the vehicle gave me a warning that the was serious issue and the vehicle will shutdown in 1/2 minutes. I was fortunately slowing down to stop at a light when the incident occurred and barely managed to pull the vehicle over to an island to let the traffic behind me pass. The vehicle wouldn't move at all and there were couple of warning lights on the dashboard including the engine light. After couple of attempts, the vehicle started again and I managed to drive to a parking lot for the vehicle to be towed. This could have been dangerous if this had happened on a highway on a highspeed. The dealer in the process of looking into the issue..

Pacifica hybrid turned on but would not shift out of park or turn off. The radio was playing, air was blowing (though not cold), power doors were not functioning. The car was towed to a Chrysler service center while still running. They turned the car off and when they looked at it several days later there were no errors codes and the car was turning on/off and able to shift out of park and drive. They returned the car to me without any explanation for why this happened. The car was purchased 13 months ago and this is the second time this has happened. The car did the same thing in January 2024. The car ran for hours without being able to shift out of park or turn off. The car died by the time it was towed to the Chrysler service center. The service center recommended replacing the auxiliary battery at that time, which we did (Jan 2024). They said there were no mechanical error codes showing.

I bought a new 2023 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid in March 2024. In April 2024, mileage 2,301, while driving on neighborhood roads, this warning message appeared: "Stop Safely Vehicle Will Shut Off Soon" and the Engine Check/Malfunction Indicator Warning light illuminated. I had about 15-30 seconds to pull over and then the vehicle lost all power. All warnings were gone the next morning so I hoped it had been a glitch. 3 days later it happened again (mileage 2,559). I didn't think it was a glitch anymore so I had the vehicle towed to an authorized Chrysler dealer. STAR (Chrysler) advised them to check PIM connectors and return the vehicle to me. I had been unable to drive the vehicle for 15 days. Less than a month later, mileage 3,933, it happened again. I had it towed again to the same dealer. This time STAR advised and approved replacing the transmission. This incident added 28 days of being unable to drive the vehicle, for a total of 43 days. 23 days later, while driving on an out-of-state highway, mileage 5,012, it happened again. This was extremely dangerous since we were driving at highway speed and did not have much time to pull over before the vehicle shut off. I had it towed to an authorized dealer near where I was staying out of state. That dealer performed repairs even though I didn't authorize any. I have no reason to believe that Chrysler can fix the problem.

Vehicle was purchased new on [XXX]. 360 surround cameras and Connect box malfunctioned and vehicle was brought in for service on July 10, 2024. I was told by the service advisor that the camera was a poor connection and simply plugged back in but they were unable to reproduce the UConnect issue and that it was currently working. On [XXX] I started the vehicle in my driveway and it immediately entered "limp mode" with a large red turtle appearing on the dash and the check engine light illuminated. The vehicle would not drive greater than 5mph and posed a safety risk on the road so was towed to the dealer. The hybrid battery coolant hose was replaced and I picked up the vehicle on [XXX]. The diagnostic code relayed to me was P0C44-00. On [XXX], I started the vehicle in a family member's driveway and it again entered limp mode with the red turtle and check engine light displayed. The vehicle was again not able to be driven and was towed to the dealer. Chrysler engineers are now involved in the repair. I do not know if the previous camera and UConnect Box issues are related to the red turtle limp mode. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

We purchased a 2022 Pacifica Hybrid in Feb of 2024 that is still under full factory warranty. We had the vehicle serviced once for A/c issues and it's regularly scheduled 30k mile service in April and May. [XXX] our van had a. Catastrophic failure in Texas, where it has remained since June 1st. The deep cycle hybrid battery overheated, making it inoperable. They have replaced the deep cycle hybrid battery twice-those batteries run 15-16k$, plus the additional parts and labor. Stellantis customer service promised rental reimbursement for the 2 vehicles we had to rent to continue our trip to Arizona. Then they declined to reimburse for both. They also stated they would pay for rentals ongoing while our van was in Texas and after we rented a van for two additional weeks, refused to pay for that. We requested a buyback at week 7 and that was denied. Two weeks ago, they stated the van was repaired and it sat in Texas while the dealership argued with Stellantis customer service about who was responsible for returning our van. Finally chrysler agreed to ship it to us and while the area manager was driving the van to the loading point for the shipping company, it had the same catastrophic failure. Chrysler had it towed to a different dealership in Texas and that dealership says they are going to start over and hopefully they can diagnose the issue fully, but they will have to replace the battery for a. 3rd time, totaling 4 batteries in 3 months or 64k$..The vehicle purchase price was 42k$. We purchased extensive extended warranties. We put down 24,500$ in cash and trade. We have since found out that a dealer in New Jersey put this car back on the market after they knew there was something wrong with it and made it someone else's problem. The selling dealership had no way of knowing the vehicle battery would overheat in the summer, as they purchased it from auction in November and sold it to us in Feb. I bought a new 2023 Chrysler Pacifica Pinnacle from the dealership with 20 miles on it. The next day, I was driving the car and exiting the highway when it said “rear safety alert, vehicle will shut off.” The car turned off and my kids and I were stranded on the highway exit blocking traffic. I called the dealership and they picked it up to try to see what was wrong. I was told it needed a new battery from sitting in the dealership for months . We considered trading in the car since I know longer felt safe, but I trusted them to fix it and make it safe. Once I got the car back, within 24 hours it did the exact same thing and shut down while entering the highway this time. The car is currently at the dealership again. I do not feel safe that it will not randomly keep turning off.

We were driving and the vehicle displayed "Pull Over, Vehicle will Shut off Soon" along with a check engine light. Fortunately we were almost home and the vehicle made it to our house before shutting off. We took it to the dealer and the dealer claimed they were not able to reproduce the issue or see any problems with the vehicle, despite it losing motive power.

I was driving with my family on the interstate and was exiting when the car shuddered and I lost propulsion. Interior electrical power was still functional. This occurred as the car was switching to gas mode as I had been been driving about 30-35 miles on electric at that point. The gas motor never came on. I was able to roll into a gas station since we were on a bit of a downhill. Shut off car and waited a beat then started car again, battery showed 1% and was able to pull 2 more feet into gas station and off to side before it completely died again (battery at 0%). I feel extremely fortunate that this didn't happen a moment earlier when I was on the expressway and that were able to get off of a busy road. I had the vehicle towed to nearest Chrysler dealer and had a friend drive me and my family to a nearby car rental place. After two weeks at the dealer, we were informed that the issue was likely the Power Inverter Module. We are still without car and waiting for updates from service department.

4 incidents total (3 on the freeway, once just getting out of a parking area), accelerator won’t work and car makes a beep with the following message “Stop Safely, Vehicle will shutoff soon” Was able to pull to the side of the freeway turn off and on the car, lock it and unlock it; then I was able to drive again with the check engine light on. Took the car to Chrysler dealer on Monday but they said they didn’t see any faults. I was driving with my wife and kids and this was extremely dangerous. Stopping and getting out of the car on a freeway with car passing at 65+ miles per hour. I am concerned if my wife encounters the issue on the freeway and not pulling safely to the side, her or the kids can get into a terrible accident. Here are some dates and details: 3/28/24 Stop safely vehicle will stop soon Parked 3 days 3/31/24 engine line on 4-1-24 no lights; car serviced 6/1/2024 stop safely (just got in the car in Thousand Oaks after lunch ) 6/2/2024 twice on the freeway 6/3/2024 spoke with dealer, he transferred me to appointments; lady at appointments told me June 17 2024 is the nearest appointment.
