Owners have filed 72 complaints
about the 2025 Ford Bronco with NHTSA between 2025 and 2026.
The largest single group is the driver assist & collision avoidance.
Across this model's run it ranks 5 of 9 worst.
The letter says how bad. This says what kind — whether this year drew
an unusual number of complaints, unusually dangerous
ones, or failures that arrived unusually early.
The dashed ring is 50 — the national norm. Further out is worse.
Complaint volume — 20
Against the median year of the Ford Bronco. 50 means typical for this
model; 100 means roughly double.
Severity — 100
19.4% of these complaints
involved a crash, fire, injury or death, against a national rate of
9.7%.
Early failure — not reported
Too few complaints recorded a mileage to measure this.
A spike years after the car went on sale usually means a part wearing
out on schedule across the whole fleet — the kind of pattern no single
owner can see from inside their own car.

Recalls on the 2025 Ford Bronco
A complaint is one owner's allegation. A recall is the point at which
the manufacturer or a regulator agreed the defect is real and dangerous
enough to fix for free — however old the car is.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
On June 22, 2026, my 2025 Ford Bronco caught fire while parked outside a store. The vehicle had been parked for approximately five minutes when the fire began. There were no warning lights, alerts, unusual odors, or other indications of a problem before the incident. The fire and heavy smoke appeared to originate from the center console area near the gear shifter. The flames quickly spread throughout the driver’s side, center console, front passenger area, and the rest of the vehicle’s interior. The entire interior sustained severe fire and heat damage and was substantially melted. The responding fire department advised that temperatures inside the vehicle were well over 300 degrees. Firefighters disconnected the vehicle’s battery, after which the vehicle began to cool. Based on their initial observations, they indicated that the fire appeared to be electrical in nature. The vehicle had recently been filled with gasoline, which made the situation even more dangerous. Fortunately, no one was inside the Bronco, no other vehicles were parked nearby, and the fire department responded quickly. The vehicle has been transported to a repair facility but has not yet been inspected to determine the precise cause of the fire. I am extremely concerned that a nearly new vehicle could suddenly catch fire while turned off and parked, without any warning. This could have occurred while I was driving, with passengers inside, or while the Bronco was parked in my garage. Under those circumstances, the fire could have caused serious injury or death, destroyed my home, or endangered other people and property. I am submitting this complaint because I believe this incident presents a serious public-safety concern. I respectfully request that NHTSA investigate whether other 2025 Ford Bronco owners have experienced similar electrical fires and whether a defect exists that could place drivers, passengers, families, first responders, and the public at risk.

AIR BAGS
On oct. 26, 2025, I was in a bad car accident. I was coming home and came to a stop on Spring Street. In Marion. MA before entering Rte 6 . I looked both ways and the rte was clear. I looked again both ways and still was clear, so I moved my 2025 Bronco Badlands onto the Rte 6 and within seconds I was hit very hard on the front left quarter. My SUV spun around at least 270º and I was immediately taken to the ER nearby (Tobey Hospital) for Brain and neck Studies. No airbags deployed. I have photos of the vehicle showing my damage. The driver of the other car must have been speeding as the hit was huge. I was the sole person in my car. The Marion PD Officer who was in charge of this accident changed the story to say "I looked both ways, saw a car coming and I moved forward" into Rte 6 to get home around the corner. I had injuries all over my body and brain with concussion/mild TBI. There were no witnesses and the building near the scene of the MVA had a professional camera over their front door. They would not let me see the video. They did let the other driver see the video The angle of this cam was changed from straight across the street looking at the scene directly. I had no way of knowing what happened and I have spent about a half a year getting therapy at three different physical therapy sites/hospital. I asked the Police to see if I could ask the State Police if they would do a Collision Analysis and Reconstruction so I could know what happened as I was labeled At Fault which I understood if the other driver was driving normally and safely. I was told that if no one is seriously hurt or dead then they would do it. I lost my memory and am still getting visual changes and severe headaches. The series of Radiologic images show that I had lots of Damage. I am a XXX Physician and I know I was hit by surprise and never saw the other car because of the angles of the road. I told photos and have images of the scene and of my car and the other car

Flat towing a 2025 Bronco behind a 2025 Newmar Dutchstar using a Blue Ox tow bar with Demco AirForce Braking System. Ford has a setting called neutral towing. It allows you to tow behind a motorhome with brake lights, braking, etc. When the Ford is in neutral tow, and in neutral gear, all 4 wheel roll freely and you can tow safely. What's happening is the Ford is waking up out of neutral tow when the 12V battery gets low. This isn't supposed to happen as there is a 7 Pin electrical connector from the motorhome to the 6 pin electrical connected to the Bronco. Once the 12v battery gets low, the Ford computer wakes up, see's it moving the back tow tires, so the system is applying the emergency brake locking up the 2 back tires. This has now happened three times as we have traveled from [XXX] to [XXX] (had it looked at Crossroads of Ford of Apex where I bought it). I took it in to Schmop Ford in Denver and after almost a deadly accident on XXX near [XXX], to XXX. They found the back two tires destroyed. Ford replaced the tires at no charge, but the issue remains. THIS SUV SHOULD NOT BE APPROVED FOR FLAT TOWING. It is dangerous and could be deadly. You have no way of knowing unless someone else tells you. Thanks to the stranger on XXX on XXX. They told us of our issue so we pulled over. If we were to continue driving the motorhome, the tires would've been totally destroyed, a fire, or cause us to flip over. There are so many complaints on the internet about this issue. You must make Ford fix this issue with a software fix immediately. Don't make my complaint for another unlucky traveler like myself. I have enclosed the back tire picture. They have yet to repair this recall even though a remedy has been available. I have asked multiple times at my dealer and they always have a reason they can’t do it. They text me one time and never set the appointment. I have called and called and even went in. I asked at my oil change and at first they said yes but then they said they couldn’t check because “it would take all day and they did not have the time”. I went in at 8:15 or 9:15am. I even called after I made my oil change appointment and verified on the phone they can check for the recall that day and they said yes. But changed it when I showed up. I haven’t heard back since then. Here is the recall information; Manufacturer Recall Number26S30 NHTSA Recall Number26V268 They also have yet to notify me of the second recall on the vehicle causing engine fires. I only found out because I have a news app and saw an article. I have the Ford app and it “alerts me to recalls” but I’ve found out about every recall from the news not Ford until months after. Why aren’t they notifying customers promptly?

Bronco hard top is beginning to warp really bad and delaminate. Classic problem happening with there and ford still refuses to come up with a real solution. Every day the warping gets worse and I’m just waiting for it to get bad enough so I can take it in and ford actually do something about it. The warping and delaminating also impacts the seals of the hardtop panels on the car. The top also rattles really bad. Absolutely crazy for an expensive car. It’s very obvious that climate and humidity have the largest impact on this issue and STILL they do nothing about it.

When the vehicle is in "Eco" mode, and an attempt is made to rapidly accelerate in an emergency situation, pressing the accelerator pedal to the floor results in a significant delay before *any* engine response is detected, far beyond what is reasonable for a normal gasoline powered vehicle. In several situations, I was in heavy traffic; traffic in the lane in which I was travelling was relatively slow. I attempted to change lanes into an adjacent lane in which traffic was moving much faster. When traffic allowed, I merged into the faster lane, and pressed the accelerator pedal to the floor. Prior to pressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle was moving approximately 20 mph. Nothing happened for several seconds, and then the vehicle suddenly accelerated. During the period of non-response, traffic in the faster lane caught up to my vehicle. I am able to reproduce the issue 100%. The dealer's response is that "it's normal" (typical service response) and there was no attempt to investigate. I have driven several identical make/model vehicles belonging to friends, and one dealer vehicle (test drive) and they all exhibit the same issue. There are no warning lamps, errors, codes, or any indication that any system is faulty. The high latency in the throttle control system is clearly an ECU programming issue, and it increases the risk of collision. I have only observed this issue in models of this vehicle with an automatic transmission. I do own an identical model of this vehicle with a manual transmission, and this issue is not present.

Its becoming more frequent and a huge safety issue. When you're driving the car, it feels like the emergency parking brake automatically engages. And when you push the brake pedal, it almost feels like it's dead, meaning there's no pressure back against your foot, which is really unusual for this vehicle, period. You don't necessarily lose control of the car, but you certainly don't have complete control of the braking system, period. Then you are in a period of time to get off the road safely and turn the vehicle off and restart it. Then the system seems to correct itself, and you can drive away. But I'm concerned about this from a safety perspective,

The most concerning issue is that after the windshield was replaced, the replacement windshield developed another crack within approximately 24 hours of installation. The dealership has repeatedly classified the damage as “normal road debris” or “rock impact,” but I am concerned this may involve a structural, installation, or manufacturing defect rather than ordinary wear and tear. My concerns are based on the following: Multiple windshield failures in a very short period of ownership Failure occurring on a brand-new replacement windshield within 24 hours Normal commuting use only Concern for stress-related cracking, improper installation, body/frame flex, or windshield mounting issues Potential safety hazard involving driver visibility and windshield integrity I am requesting investigation into possible manufacturing, installation, or structural defects involving windshield cracking or windshield mounting systems on the 2025 Ford Bronco. I am also aware of other Ford Bronco owner complaints involving repeated windshield cracking and windshield-related issues. This issue creates ongoing safety concerns due to impaired visibility and repeated glass failure in a nearly new vehicle.

On [XXX] at [XXX] PM I was driving westbound on [XXX] at [XXX] while traveling through the intersection, my vehicle started shaking, lost acceleration, and nearly caused me to have a collision. My vehicles check engine light began flashing, and I was able to safely exit the highway. On May 20, 2026, Crouse Ford diagnosed a “cylinder #6”, however attributed the event as “an anomaly”, and no corrective action was taken despite the seriousness of the safety concerns. This is in reference to Safety Campaign 26S32. My fiancé owns a 2025 Ford Bronco 5 door and her roof has the same exact issue that is described in this safety campaign. Before the vehicle had 5000 miles on it the roof had already begun to show cracks, honeycombing and is beginning to show signs of delamination. The vehicle is going to our local dealer in a week to hopefully have the roof replaced under warranty but I doubt that permanently fixes the issue. Fords comment that they have resolved the issue is patently false. I will gladly send photos of the cracks as soon as possible but this safety campaign, in my opinion, should be extended to all of Broncos from 2021 to current.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Sunday April 19 2026, in a drive thru while stopped, the following alerts popped up with their corresponding dash lights: Check Brake System Park Brake limited service function Pre-collision assist not available Service Advance Track Brake pedal lost vacuum / pressure and became hard. Brake would not engage and needed to use electric park brake to stop vehicle. Got out of the drive thru and into an empty parking lot. I tried accelerating and then stopping but vehicle would not stop while pressing the brake. Used e brake again to stop. I turned vehicle off and back on. All errors did not pop up again and there were no lights on the dash. While driving home less then a mile from original incident location, the same errors and brake failure occurred while going 30+ miles per hour. Same issue with a hard brake pedal occurred. This time, if brake pedal was depressed far enough, the e brake would engage but only the rear wheels would lock up and vehicle would skid/slide in order to slow down. I have video recordings of these incidents. Brake system failed as vehicle lost ability to brake at low and high speeds. The loss of brakes could result in a car crash and deaths. The vehicle has been towed to a ford dealer and they are in possession of the vehicle. They are currently investigating the issue. The vehicle has not been inspected by manufacturer or authority agency. There were no warning lamps, messages, or symptoms prior to the brake system failing. The brakes worked normally and then suddenly failed.
