The contact stated that the rearview camera image was blank or inverted while reversing. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time to perform the recall repair. Additionally, the contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle experienced hesitation and jerking upon acceleration. The failure caused the vehicle to lose speed and the engine to shut off. The vehicle recently failed to restart. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic shop and a dealer following near-miss accidents. The manufacturer was not yet notified of the powertrain failure, and the vehicle was not repaired. The fuel gauge in my 2015 Taurus/Interceptor is showing inaccurate fuel levels; it will show there is less fuel in the tank than there actually is, causing me to think I am possibly going to run out of fuel. Example: I will fill the fuel tank when the gauge reads 3/4, which should be around 5 gallons of fuel used. The amount of fuel being put in the tank is significantly less than what the fuel gauge shows.

There is a recall on 2014 Ford Taurus’ but my VIN does not pop as one that is effective, yet I have all the symptoms. My fuel pump control module, and other various parts of my fuel pump keep failing. Completely lost power in my gas pedal today while on the highway. Couldn’t speed up or do anything. Once I came to a stop, the car wouldn’t start. It would just crank but no turnover. This fuel pump issue has happened 3 times now, but my car is not listed up the recall list. I feel that this is a safety issue and falls under all the same issues that others are having. Can provide receipts showing the previous repairs.

I purchased this car April 1 2025 the car drove fine up until this past week I got in the car it had a very long crank but started and it acted as if it wasn't getting fuel. So I shut it off waited and started it back it seemed OK I went and purchased some fuel cleaner and gas it straightened out then today it done the exact same thing except it stalled on me 3 times and the last stall almost caused a wreck I was able to get it started and drove back home too scared to drove it so I started looking up problems online and seen several issues like mine that other people had and they were related to previous recalls.

The contact stated that after an oil change at a local dealer, the contact was informed that the auxiliary battery wiring harness was failing and needed to be replaced. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that this failure was a series of failures of the vehicle. The contact previously had the fuel pump and the fuel tank mounting bolts replaced. The contact researched online and related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 16V621000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) and NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V605000 (Fuel System, Gasoline). The contact stated that she had not found a recall for the auxiliary battery wiring harness. The contact stated that the dealer had diagnosed the failure of the wiring harness but that the vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 140,000.

The engine light came on and was scanned for engine code P0430 (Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold Bank 2). Upon further research, it appears that a catalytic converter has started failing. I was able to clean the catalytic converter, but they are very expensive to replace. Ford issued an extended warranty for this part, but did not issue a recall, despite this being an issue on multiple vehicles. This warranty is 10 years on the Police Interceptor Sedan (Taurus Platform), and 11 years on the Police Interceptor Utility (Explorer Platform). My car's mileage was at approximately 103,000 miles when the light came on. Both warranties extend to 120,000 miles, and my car was two months older than 10 years when this occurred. I contacted Ford through multiple avenues, even writing a letter to Ford Consumer Affairs, and they all declined to extend their warranties to the Ford Police Interceptor Sedan despite the fact that it is identical to the Ford Police Interceptor Utility when it comes to the engine, transmission, PTU, and all components related to those parts, including the catalytic converter. This is a known issue that should have been a recall in the first place, but Ford should at least have the same warranty issued to both cars as the part and failure of said part are identical. I would greatly appreciate it if you guys contacted Ford and told them to extend this warranty to 11 years to match the warranty for the Police Interceptor Utility. Occasionally engine surges when in gear when brake is pressed.Car must be put in neutral and key turned iff. This happens only on occasionaly.I understand Ford has extended Throttle body warranty on this part to ten years on my ModelI visited local dealer who ran my VIN and advised there was no information on an extended warranty in his system.He said take it up with Ford.Ford customer service refered me back to the dealer.Can you assist in confirming Ford has extended the coverage to 10 years and if so how to proceed as Ford has denied any knowledge.

Intermittent accelerator sticking. After lifting foot from accelerator to prepare for braking/stopping the car continues to accelerate. Safety is at risk in traffic and intersections. There is online documentation related to previous NHTSA investigations. Ford and the local dealership has stated that there is not a defined recall. Although there may not be a “recall” this is certainly a safety problem!!

I’m not having any success with my local Ford Dealership or with Ford Customer Service getting my car covered under the Customer Satisfaction Program. I have fuel system issues, I need to replace both cats and 2 bad sensors, halfshaft, fuel system, and braking issues. The dealership said to contact Ford and Ford says it’s the dealership’s problem. If they don’t fix it, I’m done with Ford. If they can’t stand behind their products and their dealerships won’t help the customers, then my loyalty is done. I’ve already had to replace a poorly designed PTU at my expense and now this, buyer beware on Interceptors. Let’s hope I don’t have any other issues. No one seems to be willing to help and I’m beyond frustrated with this experience.
