This ongoing problem, not related to an accident or single incident. The center console screen will jump around / glitch / freeze without being touched. These “ghost touches” go in and out of apps, make calls, switch between audio sources , many other unprompted things. This issue renders the center console screen almost unusable and downright unsafe to use. This is now the second screen in the vehicle with this problem. Honda was aware a replacement may not fix the problem but did it anyway. They are claiming there will be a total fix by March of 2027.

Odometer Fraud. The contact purchased a 2022 Honda Accord. It was discovered that there was a mileage discrepancy. The vehicle was a private sale. At the time of purchase, the vehicle mileage was 26,000; however, three days after retrieving a Carfax report, it was discovered that the mileage was 217,000.

Different codes started blanking after I got gas June 11, 2026. Soon as I cranked up it started flashing warnings. Emission system, brake system, sport mode doesn’t work, cruise control doesn’t work, check engine light on, tire pressure light on. I took it to midlands Honda on June 15, 2026. They told me turbocharger and need spark plugs based off mileage. I took it to oreily, they say it only scan the engine light code which is turbocharger. Started a claim with Honda support and they denied me based off my mileage for goodwill credit. Said they contacted dealership and it’s not a manufacturer issue so I have to fix it out of pocket. Warranty expired. They kept calling me weekly until August 4, 2026 (when they told me they denied me). On August 12, 2026 my trunk won’t open. I contacted them back and they told me I have to pay for the diagnostic again (almost 200.00) since it’s a separate issue. That’s crazy. It’s a whole group on social media where everybody having the same issue. Even some fixed the turbo and lights on dashboard still on. My turbo charger code can’t be the reason my trunk won’t open.

Today was the 4th time my vehicle breaked on its own without any reason. The prior breaking, I kinda shrugged off thinking it maybe sensed another vehicle and was being cautious. However, today I was traveling north hwy 11 and there was nothing in front of me. My car abruptly and violetly slammed on its breaks for no reason at all. The violent deceleration caused my head and neck to whip and my neck is still very sore along with headache. There was no vehicles, pedestrians or obstacles in front of the car. There was a car coming in the opposite direction but it was approximately 200-300 feet away. This almost caused me to crash and was very upsetting. There was no warning whatsoever for this extreme break. I am grateful that the car traveling behind me did not hit me or run off the road. It was very violent and scary. I was traveling at 55 mph when this occurred. Today is Saturday and I was not able to reach anyone at the dealerships service department but I will be contacting them Monday morning. Please advise as to what my options are. Thank you.

The contact owns a 2022 Honda Accord. The contact stated that there were persistent failures with the infotainment system. The contact stated that occasionally the screen flickered abnormally, the navigation system zoomed in and out unexpectedly, unintended phone calls were made while driving, and the screen occasionally became frozen or was unresponsive to touch. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the infotainment head unit was replaced under warranty; however, the issues persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and the dealer and the manufacturer determined that a software update was needed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer had not yet developed a fix for the failure. A case was filed with the manufacturer. The failure mileage was approximately 22,000.

The touchscreen something’s fails to work. It freezes and it doesn’t allow me to push on anything. If I have it under CarPlay and I’m GPS mode to get directions to where I’m going too and then it begins to have glitches . It switches back and forth from am/fm radio then to pandora then back to am/fm non stop. The screen randomly starts clicking on its own— I tried factory reset and it hasn’t resolved my issue. It often a happens mostly when the screen is hot but it’s done it too when the screen is in normal temperature .

This event occurred after a history of ABS system issues as well as Infotainment system issues since 10k miles. During morning commute at approximately 60 mph, all dash warnings began to chime associated with the Touring features of the sedan. TPMS, Collision Avoidance, Braking System, Lane Departure, etc. AND Electric Power Steering. The steering wheel clicked and immediately became difficult to steer. I found a safe pullover point and managed to return the car safely the short distance home.

My 2022 Honda Accord Sport screen / navigation is malfunctioning / failing and it is available for inspection. This is a MAJOR SAFETY issue because unless the screen is in Anti-Theft mode (after a reset) which locks all functions, the screen will start glitching / ghost-tapping to where the screen nonstop beeps and flashes from feature to feature without any ability to stop it or even tap the screen to try to fix it. While driving this is a major safety issue that inherently draws the driver's attention away from the road to trying to fix the screen (which is obviously a safety problem while driving. This is a common issue among Honda Accords and I do not know how this has not been addressed yet. My car is currently in the dealership shop and they are saying because it in outside 3 years, it will cost over $1000 to fix for A SAFETY ISSUE that can't be worked around besides turning off the whole system. There were no problems with the car or the screen prior to this randomly starting to happen about a week ago on a hot summer's day. Please help with this, this is a huge safety issue and someone will get hurt someday because they aren't focusing on the road and instead trying to get the non-stop beeping fixed.

This is just a copy of what I sent to Honda. navigation cannot even be used because of this problem. this does create a safety issue when I'm in areas I'm not familiar with and the fact that I cannot use the maps function and have to look at my phone for directions. not to mention the constant distraction. Is Honda ever going to do anything about this trash? This is not okay and IS A SAFETY issue! This needs to be rectified. IM SICK OF IT and the lack of care from Honda is astonishing. While driving at 50 mph, the infotainment touchscreen began experiencing severe ghost touches, where the screen acts as if it is being repeatedly tapped by itself. The system rapidly cycled through menus on its own, making random phone calls via Bluetooth and changing the navigation map coordinates while I was in motion. This created a massive visual and mental distraction as I try to mute or stop the erratic behavior. Also When putting the vehicle in reverse, the phantom touches freeze the screen, blocking the backup camera feed entirely. The problem is worse on hot days. The dealer stated it is a known hardware delamination issue but I was told honda corporate told them not to replace it as the issue will re-occur do to their hardware malfunctioning. This is an extreme safety hazard and a distraction while driving. I am submitting this complaint to get honda to resolve this issue.

Component Affected: Electrical System / Vehicle Speed Control / Forward Visibility / Navigation / Infotainment Description of Safety Hazard: I am experiencing a severe, highly unpredictable, and dangerous hardware defect involving the factory infotainment system on my 2022 Honda Accord Sport SE. The screen suffers from a hardware failure known as "ghost touching," where the digital interface registers rapid, erratic touch inputs completely on its own without being touched. This defect creates an immediate and severe driver distraction while the vehicle is in motion by automatically placing uncommanded phone calls to random contacts, changing settings, turning the radio on, and forcing sudden, loud audio spikes that startle the driver. Furthermore, these chaotic system glitches directly impact critical driving, navigation, and safety systems: GPS Navigation Failure: The ghost touches actively disrupt the GPS navigation system. The screen will randomly force the GPS map on when not in use, or it will glitch, freeze, and misroute while I am actively trying to navigate heavy traffic. This renders the primary navigation entirely useless, leaving me stranded and forcing my attention away from the road to attempt a manual override. Cruise Control Dropout & Auditory Panic Hazard: The system intermittently triggers a critical error on the dashboard that completely disables the vehicle’s Cruise Control / Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) systems at highway speeds. When this error flashes, the vehicle emits a loud, non-stop, continuous warning chime that refuses to turn off until the car's computer system randomly resets itself. This non-stop beeping creates an intense visual and auditory panic situation while driving at high speeds, completely shattering driver focus.

2022 Honda Accord Infotainment “Ghost Touch” Defect I am reporting a recurring safety defect involving the infotainment touchscreen in my 2022 Honda Accord. The touchscreen intermittently registers false inputs (“ghost touches”) without any user interaction. During operation, the screen randomly changes radio stations, switches applications, exits navigation, opens menus, changes settings, and becomes unresponsive. The issue occurs while driving and forces the driver to divert attention from the roadway in an effort to regain control of the system. This defect creates a significant distraction and increases the risk of a crash, particularly when navigation is being used in unfamiliar areas. In some instances, the screen becomes completely unusable for extended periods. My understanding is that many other 2021–2022 Honda Accord owners have reported identical symptoms, including screen replacements that failed to permanently resolve the problem. Numerous public complaints describe the same malfunction and indicate that the issue may be widespread. I believe this defect warrants investigation because it affects a driver interface that is relied upon during vehicle operation. Honda has not provided a permanent repair solution, and affected owners continue to experience recurring failures across multiple Honda models and trims. I respectfully request that NHTSA investigate this defect and determine whether a recall or other corrective action is warranted. Vehicle: 2022 Honda Accord

I had brought my Honda Accord into Honda of Muskogee to have the touchscreen looked at for ghost touching while the car was still under warranty. On the very first visit, the morning I brought it in the temperature was low and it was nice outside and they could not reproduce the issue. They also did not complete the oil change properly on my car, nor rotated the tires, they also mangled the nuts that hold the positive battery post down. This was on a brand new car when it happened. Fast forward to 2026, my manufacturer's warranty is expired. I have contacted Honda Corporate probably 3 times to see if they would honor the warranty on my factory unmodified radio that came with the car. I advised them I wanted any other dealership that is certified to do the work, besides Muskogee. That location has a vendetta against me now because I am reporting them for stealing people's money and not doing the work their customers paid for. Their customers are ASKING for work that they pretend they have no idea about. PROBLEM: The digitizer is failing due to bad parts/delamination of some sort, it causes frequent ghost touching which can disrupt important safety information on the screen such as navigation data on a fast highway. It also ghost touches and turns off the HVAC system so the microphone can hear you, in the summertime this is incredibly dangerous as you cannot bypass it to ensure you stay cool in a heat wave if the radio keeps doing this. I am afraid this distraction is either going to cause myself, or anyone else with a 2022 Honda Accord that - for whatever reason they have NOT issued a manufacturers' recall for defective digitizers. This radio has done this practically the entire time I have owned the car, I am so upset with it.

My display screen (infotainment) that has almost all the setting to my car on it has been glitching every single time I drive my car. It has what is being described as "ghost touch". It will just flick back and forth between all different settings to my car, turn on and off the radio and go between stations, set destinations on my maps, submitting incidents on my maps, calling my contacts, requesting voice commands which lowers the fan speed on my ac and heat when doing so and numerous other settings including how my car locks itself, rear camera setting, audio settings, it is going through everything while driving and while stationary. I believe it is a major hazard, it as startled me so many time by just randomly blasting a radio station while im driving, messing with my navigation on maps while driving, I have been distracted so many times when I should have been focused on the road but instead I am trying to stop it from changing settings, calling people, trying to cancel routes its setting on my maps and ect. The problem is a "known issue" according to the Honda dealership I bought it from and took in to look at for repair. Also I quick Google search of "2022 honda accord sport screen glitching" brings up tons of other people dealing with this same issue and there is apparently no fix for it. Honda said you can buy a new screen but it may still do it since there is no official fix for this. It drives me crazy to even drive this car and I commute to work over a hour and a half on highways with it freaking out the whole way most of the time.

My touchscreen is experiencing "ghost touch" per the dealership. They explained it as it refers to an issue where the infotainment screen registers random taps or clicks on its own. It is highly distracting as the screen beeps consistently and blinks randomly. I have 3 young drivers and see this as a big distraction. The dealership said Honda recommended not replacing it as they are fully aware of it and the fix doesn't fix it. It's definitely not a response you want to hear while you're still paying on the car and have young drivers. I fortunately have an extended warranty and they are willing to replace it but I'm concerned that the replacement will experience the same, that is why I am filing a complaint here. I called multiple Honda dealerships and they are aware of the problem but also said Honda is advising not to replace. I have seen many complaints where Honda owners had to pay for the replacement out of pocket and that's disappointing. It sure does seem like a manufacture error and hope Honda does the right thing. I have been a Honda owner for over 30 years but with my latest purchase and experience, I'm definitely rethinking my next purchase.

, I had MY Honda dealership replace my touchscreen and head unit due to issues with ghost touches and apps switching back and forth. Once I got my car back, which took two weeks, the problems seemed to be resolved. However, after a few weeks, the ghost touches started happening again, about once a week. I was planning to live with that, given the amount of time they had my car. Now, fast forward to the present time: the ghost touches are back, and the touchscreen refuses to function 95% of the time. I had contacted my service advisor at the dealership on 5/28/26 and replied that she would get with the Service manager and shop foreman. This is ashame that a company like Honda could not stand by their product better to fix this issue that has been known since 2024.

The touchscreen/head unit on my 2022 Honda Accord Sport SE (VIN: [XXX] ) consistently exhibits ghost touch behavior — the screen makes random phantom inputs while I am driving, without any physical contact. This causes the navigation to be rerouted or cancelled mid-drive, audio to change sources and volume unexpectedly, menus to open randomly, and CarPlay to become completely non-functional. This occurs every time I drive the vehicle and constitutes a significant safety distraction. I rely on GPS navigation for every drive. Honda has acknowledged this is a known issue affecting 2021–2022 Accord models but has stated no fix is currently available. The dealer has confirmed the issue and been unable to resolve it. I have opened a case with American Honda Consumer Support (Case #XXX) requesting a loaner vehicle and vehicle exchange. No recall has been issued despite this being a widespread, documented safety defect with multiple NHTSA complaints filed by other owners. This vehicle is experiencing an aggressive, heat-accelerated hardware degradation of the central capacitive screen assembly commonly identified as ghost glitching, culminating in a total crash of the primary graphic interface and touch controller hardware. While your customer service infrastructure routinely classifies display anomalies as low-priority convenience or entertainment glitches, an objective systems analysis reveals that Honda has centralized critical safety telemetry, emergency communications, and vehicle calibration gateways into a single, unbacked hardware node. Consequently, the catastrophic failure of this infotainment module directly compromises the operational safety of this vehicle, presenting an immediate, unpredictable hazard not only to myself but to the general driving public sharing the roadway. The systematic failure modes of this defect are detailed as follows: 1 Multi-Module Network Failure and Primary Gauge Cluster Blindness The failure of the central display audio unit is not isolated to an entertainment screen. It acts as a network parasite that actively destabilizes the vehicle's primary Driver Information Interface DII on the steering wheel instrument cluster. Toggling the steering wheel controls to view Audio or System telemetry on the primary driver's dash gauge results in an immediate, total blackout of the left digital dashboard display. Because the central infotainment unit's microprocessor is frozen, degraded, or locked up, it fails to respond to high-priority internal Controller Area Network CAN bus data requests from the instrument cluster. This creates a severe data bottleneck that blinds the operator to system telemetry directly behind the steering wheel while traveling at highway speeds. Furthermore, while the vehicle's secondary hardwired communication circuit allows background audio streaming and steering wheel track-skipping overrides to function, the manual physical volume controls, dashboard knob,

My 2022 Honda Accord Infotainment have what is being referred to as "Ghost Touches" the screen very erratically switches between settings in the system, clear programmed data, and adjust the radio and volume without being touched. This has been a major distraction while driving and pose has huge safety risk for myself and put others at risks for accidents. I have had several near misses because of this. You never know when it will happen so when it does, it immediately removes your eyes off the road where it should be while driving to try and attempt to get it to stop because the switching is loud and distracting especially with the volume adjustments. I purchased the vehicle new, the first owner and not even a three months later the nightmare began. I have taken it to the Honda dealership serval times when it is happening and the course of action is a screen reset and the issue still persist. There were no warnings or lights that came on prior to it to happening, it just began and has never stopped. The reset is not a sufficient solution and the only other option there is to replace it which cost well over a thousand dollars and most customers can't afford it. This a serious Honda issue that needs to be address because there are a lot of customers having this issue and nothing is being done about it or assistance with getting it repaired.
