Seats And Restraints

Issue: On certain vehicles, the weight sensor for the front passenger seat may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, the passenger-front airbag and knee airbag could deploy in a crash that doesn't require them to. Note: This recall is an expansion of Transport Canada recall no. 2024-059. If the weight sensor fails, the SRS warning light would turn on in the instrument panel. Safety Risk: An airbag system that doesn't work properly could increase the risk of injury in a crash. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the passenger-front seat weight sensor.

Recalls cover specific build ranges, so check your own vehicle by VIN at nhtsa.gov/recalls or, in Canada, Transport Canada.

Today was the 4th time my vehicle breaked on its own without any reason. The prior breaking, I kinda shrugged off thinking it maybe sensed another vehicle and was being cautious. However, today I was traveling north hwy 11 and there was nothing in front of me. My car abruptly and violetly slammed on its breaks for no reason at all. The violent deceleration caused my head and neck to whip and my neck is still very sore along with headache. There was no vehicles, pedestrians or obstacles in front of the car. There was a car coming in the opposite direction but it was approximately 200-300 feet away. This almost caused me to crash and was very upsetting. There was no warning whatsoever for this extreme break. I am grateful that the car traveling behind me did not hit me or run off the road. It was very violent and scary. I was traveling at 55 mph when this occurred. Today is Saturday and I was not able to reach anyone at the dealerships service department but I will be contacting them Monday morning. Please advise as to what my options are. Thank you.

This ongoing problem, not related to an accident or single incident. The center console screen will jump around / glitch / freeze without being touched. These “ghost touches” go in and out of apps, make calls, switch between audio sources , many other unprompted things. This issue renders the center console screen almost unusable and downright unsafe to use. This is now the second screen in the vehicle with this problem. Honda was aware a replacement may not fix the problem but did it anyway. They are claiming there will be a total fix by March of 2027.

Different codes started blanking after I got gas June 11, 2026. Soon as I cranked up it started flashing warnings. Emission system, brake system, sport mode doesn’t work, cruise control doesn’t work, check engine light on, tire pressure light on. I took it to midlands Honda on June 15, 2026. They told me turbocharger and need spark plugs based off mileage. I took it to oreily, they say it only scan the engine light code which is turbocharger. Started a claim with Honda support and they denied me based off my mileage for goodwill credit. Said they contacted dealership and it’s not a manufacturer issue so I have to fix it out of pocket. Warranty expired. They kept calling me weekly until August 4, 2026 (when they told me they denied me). On August 12, 2026 my trunk won’t open. I contacted them back and they told me I have to pay for the diagnostic again (almost 200.00) since it’s a separate issue. That’s crazy. It’s a whole group on social media where everybody having the same issue. Even some fixed the turbo and lights on dashboard still on. My turbo charger code can’t be the reason my trunk won’t open.

Issues with the Infotainment System - the screen flickers and switches constantly while driving which is a distraction and safety issue. Honda has told us in the past that the issue was with the USB cord being used but that is not it. This issue now happens anytime, not just when the USB is connected. All of the following has occurred: unexpected screen flashing/flickering; phantom or uncontrolled touchscreen inputs; unexpected menu changes; changes to radio stations or audio sources; sudden volume changes or unexpected sounds; navigation changes, cancellation, or rerouting; unexpected phone calls; loss of Android Auto functionality; freezing or failure to respond to the driver's actual input; system restarting or turning itself on; interference with other vehicle settings. These behaviors can occur while the vehicle is moving or sitting still.

The infotainment screen experiences “ghost touches” where random controls are pushed without a person actually touching it. It will switch views (maps to radio to settings), turn itself off and on, and becomes a major driver distraction and at times a safety hazard. Distraction? Quickly changing audio sources one after another. One second you hear map directions, then AM radio, Sirius XM, FM radio, etc…all changing rapidly. Safety hazard? Beyond the distraction, if one is using maps to navigate in the city, the system will leave maps to bounce to other views and sources leaving you with no directions or possibly delayed instructions. Honda has no fix. Dealer says if they can’t duplicate it they can’t do anything. This happens at very random times. A system reset can fix it temporarily, but it always comes back. A system reset requires you to stop, turn the vehicle off and know the exact convoluted procedure.

The entire monitor is experiencing "ghost touch" issues. While driving, the monitor rapidly changes screens beeping each time. It will throw you out of bluetooth into a random radio station. It switches from screen to screen beeping each time. It is extremely distracting while driving. In my opinion, the distraction is hazardous. It has been to dealer, I have also filed a case with Honda Case # 16523872). Dealer had it for 3 days, did nothing, said there are no parts available to fix it. They said sometimes this means Honda is working on a recall but they have no way of knowing for sure. Honda has NOT issued a recall. Honda Case Manager confirms they are "still working on it". This all started 6 weeks ago and car monitor continues to experience the "ghost touch" issue

The contact called two other local dealers, Tameron Honda Service (1675 Montgomery Hwy, Birmingham, AL 35216), and Edwards Honda (1813 Ensley Ave, Birmingham, AL 35218), but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was filed, but no assistance was provided. The approximate failure mileage was 55,000.

My Honda Accord 2022 has a touchscreen in the center dashboard. Many times it will not register touches, and many times there will be phantom touches wherein the screen clicks randomly without anyone touching it.

I purchase this car December 5, 2022 within 1 year I started having problems with the infotainment system glitching, muting my calls, the radio station jumping from station to station all kinds on things going on ghost touches as people describe them. The Honda dealership has replaced the screen itself and something else within the system while under warranty . This did not fix the problem it continued. The last thing I was told by the dealership is they were waiting on Panasonic to come out with a system and that was that and I would have to deal with it basically. I reached out to the maker of Honda and there was also no help from them. Any advice? This is by far the worst Honda I’ve had and I’ve owned 3 of them. I also had to have the head replaced while under warranty because it started cracking badly, the other one was too but not as bad so they would not replace that one.
