Truck failed to find gear shuddered lost speed in traffic while going up a hill. Limp mode was initiated. This is a known manufacturers defect with a tsb applied against the known issue. Issue is widespread when researched but not made known by the manufacturer of the truck. Dealership refusing repair under goodwill due to truck being out of mileage by 5000miles. Symptoms started prior to exiting warranty but due to no communication by dealership or manufacturer unit was not brought in for repair prior. 2025 Jeep Gladiator Atlanta, GA Crash

VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL

2025 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon X. I have experienced two separate incidents in less than a month where the vehicle accelerated suddenly and violently, while attempting to park in my garage. Both incidents resulted to significant damage to a parked vehicle, and the building structure. Both incidents were completely random and unexpected. I assumed the first on was caused by something I did. I know with 100% certainty, that the second was not. My research indicate this might be related to a faulty Hill Start Assist control module. Apparently when the Jeep Gladiator is on a slight incline (which it was in both incidents) the Hill Assist locks the breaks, which can release suddenly when the accelerator is pressed. This seems to be exactly what happened, and the sudden acceleration was violent. This is an extremely dangerous issue that needs through investigation.

2025 Jeep Gladiator Athol, ID

VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL

New Jeep, 1500 miles on it. While driving, it did an automatic update in the computer system. Following the update, the screen kept jumping information all over, constantly moving. I called jeep and they said bring it in same day. Following two shutdowns, the screen appeared normal. On 3 consecutive days it had automatic braking issues. 3 driving incidents occurred in which the automatic collision avoidance system kicked in with full braking, antilock brakes working. One incident occurred at 39 mph. One incident occurred at 50 MPH and one incident occurred at 55+ mph. There was no traffic conditions noted that would require and braking. The 50mph incident required traffic following me to break heavily, nearly causing an accident. The jeep pulled heavily to the left. Jeep made an appointment for a week out. I will not use that system pending an investigation

2020 Jeep Gladiator Wynne, AR

VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL

My Jeep Gladiator has recently been having multiple random error messages popping up. ABS warning, service 4WD, service shifter, traction control and others. Dealership charged $200 to diag a bad ABS module and charged $1400 to replace the module and controller. Less than 24 hrs later same issue occurred . Doing my own research this seems to be a common issue not just with Gladiators but other Jeeps as well. Many forums are saying it’s bad wire connectors or broken wires from improper initial installation. Causes issues with speed control, braking, and power steering.

2024 Jeep Gladiator Mount Pleasant, SC

VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL

Date of Incident: [XXX] Time: [XXX] Location: Mount Pleasant, South Carolina Vehicle: 2024 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon X Mileage at Time of Incident: Approximately 11,000 miles System Involved: Adaptive Cruise Control / Braking System Speed at Time of Incident: 45 MPH in a 45 MPH zone Road & Weather Conditions: Dry, clear weather, good road conditions Description of Incident: While driving at approximately 45 MPH with the adaptive cruise control engaged, the traffic light ahead turned yellow. As I have done many times before in similar conditions, I applied the brakes firmly to slow and stop for the light. However, the vehicle did not slow down as normally expected. As the light turned red and cross traffic began entering the intersection, I pressed the brakes as hard as possible. The vehicle began to slow, and the tires felt like they were “hopping,” but the vehicle never came to a complete stop. Because I was now in the middle of the intersection with a red light and vehicles entering from other directions, I released the brake to avoid a collision. At that point, the vehicle lurched forward, and I realized the cruise control system was still engaged and was actively propelling the vehicle forward. A short time later, the cruise control system finally disengaged on its own. This malfunction nearly caused a serious accident. Under normal operation, pressing the brake pedal firmly at any speed should immediately disengage adaptive cruise control, but this did not occur. Dealer Response: Immediately after the incident, the vehicle was taken to the Mount Pleasant Jeep dealership, SC. The dealership’s technician connected a diagnostic code reader and stated there were no fault codes. They also checked for Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) and stated none existed for this issue. The technician told me there was nothing further they could do. The dealership did not perform a road test, did not escalate the issue to the manufacturer. 2020 Jeep Gladiator St George, UT

VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL

The digital instrument cluster on my 2020 Jeep Gladiator has been completely nonfunctional since late November 2024. This failure means I cannot see the odometer, digital speedometer, and all other vehicle status indicators displayed through the cluster. The problem has been confirmed by an authorized Jeep dealership, which has been unable to secure a replacement part due to a reported supply shortage. Jeep corporate has had this case escalated for months without resolution. As a result, I have been driving without these essential instruments for over 8 months, with no timeline provided and no workaround. In addition to the loss of fuel and mileage visibility (and potentially odometer functionality), I also cannot confirm whether the cruise control is active. This could cause potential safety risks during highway travel. There were no warning lights or error messages prior to the failure. The cluster simply went dark. The faulty component is still in the vehicle and available for inspection. Jeep is aware of the issue, and a case is currently open.

VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL

I took my vehicle(2022 Jeep Gladiator)in for service on [XXX] for repair relating to a clutch recall 19A/NHTSA 23V-116, also a second E-Brake repair(previous repair was completed under the 36k mile warranty), oil change, inspection and tire rotation. The part for the recall was order and the replacement part for the recall was installed by Marburger Chrysler, Dodge Jeep, Ram Dealership(Shelby, North Carolina) about a week later. During the test drive by the certified mechanic, the new clutch failed rendering my vehicle inoperable and unsafe to drive. As of today, August 13, 2024, the part to repair my vehicle and fix for my vehicle is not available and my Jeep Gladiator has been parked at the dealership for almost three months. The dealership and manufacturer have failed and been unable to provide reliable remedy for my vehicle. I have been notified by the dealership that a remedy is currently unavailable for my vehicle. I have also contacted the recall center for JEEP and they contacted the dealership on July 30, 2024. The dealership and JEEP were unable to provide a remedy for the fix on my safety recall. 2021 Jeep Gladiator Pocatello, ID

VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL

There is an active parts recall for some Gladiators, Recall 26A, for the right rear axle shaft. This part on my vehicle has been failing for over 6 months. The ABS system, Traction Control, and 4WD system have active fault codes, preventing these systems from working as intended. In the last month, this problem has become unsafe due to 3 separate incidents where the traction control has triggered during normal driving conditions, causing the vehicle to become inoperable. In each of these incidents, I was travelling in a straight line, on dry roads, when the traction control system activated, preventing all acceleration to occur. In the first occurrence I was in a tunnel, and unable to pull over as there was no shoulder. This was driving in a straight line, accelerating up to about 15 mph before the traction control kicked in and disabled the drive train. Traffic was able to safely pass me while I coasted through the tunnel with my hazards on. Turning the vehicle off, then back on was the only way to cure this condition. The next 2 times were both at unprotected stop signs, meaning cross traffic did not have a stop sign. When I pulled out into the middle of the road, the traction control activated, causing the vehicle to lose forward momentum and power. One of these incidents, traffic did have to slow and alter course to account for my vehicles failure in the road. During the 6 months of the axle going out, the ABS system triggers at intermittent times during normal driving/braking conditions. I have tried working with the dealership where I purchased the vehicle, and with Chrysler directly. Both parties deflect responsibility to the other, stating there is no way to help escalate these problems because they are a recall item. I have been directed to wait for parts and to continue driving the vehicle, despite it seeming like a safety risk.

2021 Jeep Gladiator Fayetteville, PA

VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL

Starting in August of 2022 I started getting error messages from the car about Electronic Stability Control, Antilock Brake Systems, and Collision Avoidance problems. These seemed to come and go. But if I was on the highway with Cruise Control on and these messages appeared the car immediately drops out of Cruise Control. In addition if it happened while braking the pedal would go almost to the floor and I would have to pump several times to get the brakes to work. I took this car to the dealership on 10/3/2022, 3/20/2023, and 5/20/2023. In the first 2 instances I was told the part would be available within 6 weeks. For the last instance I was told the part would be in in 2 weeks. That was over 6 weeks ago and still Jeep has been unable to provide the part. Being unable to provide a part so key to many safety systems represents a significant safety concern.
