Truck failed to find gear shuddered lost speed in traffic while going up a hill. Limp mode was initiated. This is a known manufacturers defect with a tsb applied against the known issue. Issue is widespread when researched but not made known by the manufacturer of the truck. Dealership refusing repair under goodwill due to truck being out of mileage by 5000miles. Symptoms started prior to exiting warranty but due to no communication by dealership or manufacturer unit was not brought in for repair prior. Repeat this is a known defect that is being ignored by manufacturer.

The vehicle was bought in CA and hasn't had any issues till about after 3-4 yrs later. 1) Adaptive cruise control / emergency braking system / forward collision notification will occassionally state "not availble/unavailable" or "visibility" is not available and to clean windshield, but the windshield is not dirty or obstructing the camera. 2) The fuel emission system has had several diagnostic codes referring to the gas gap or fuel sensors. Vehicle is boggs down/loses power and starts ideling roughly and acts like it wants to shutdown and has shutdown. I've had to get vehicle towed twice for this issue. Replaced gas gap and still had issues. Then they went away for a few months, but now I am getting a diagnotic code stating that the fuel tank gas sensor is causing the check engine light.

7/5/2026. Driving home on the highway the Jeep went into limp mode and shut down. The Fault flashed on the screen for about 15 seconds (Throttle Body Falut) Problem is there is no warning when it happens. It just shuts down. This creates a "REALLY SERIOUS HAZZARD" This time it did register a fault on the computer and we were able to pull it off the reader. The Fault reads as follows: POOAF In looking it up on this is a manufacuring problem that can be caused by a little dirt, Can be caused by hot weather. THIS IS NOT SAFE! MY I REPEAT, THIS IS NOT SAFE! This should be recalled and Fixed as I am sure this shutting down on the Hiways and Interstates have killed people that were not able to deal with a situation. Please force a recall befor lives are lost!

I was driving my 2025 jeep gladiator, on several occasions I tried to stop and my jeep didn't want to stop, the jeep wanted to keep accelerating (i was not using cruise control) . I stepped on the brake and it felt "squishy" but did stop the vehicle (it only feels this way when the uncontrolled acceleration is happening). Once was pulling into our driveway and it almost rearended my husband pick up. It also has happened several other times. It seems like it only happens when making a turn. I will be addressing this with the dealer when I go for the oil change today.

I own a 2025 Jeep Gladiator with approximately 48,000 miles. The vehicle was fully operational as of approximately 5:00 PM on Monday, April 27, but by 7:30 AM the following morning it had become inoperable due to a rodent chewing through the fuel line overnight. The vehicle required towing to a dealership, Beaman Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. At the time of the incident, the vehicle was parked in a gravel driveway at an RV park, which is a typical residential parking environment. Damage to a fuel line presents a potential safety hazard, including risk of fuel leakage, fire, or sudden vehicle disablement. In this case, the failure occurred without warning and rendered the vehicle unusable. A significant amount of fuel was observed leaking beneath the vehicle and onto the ground. The dealership confirmed the damage and advised that the repair would replace the component with the same or similar material. This repair does not provide any mitigation to prevent recurrence of the issue. It is my understanding that some automotive components may utilize plant-based materials, which have been widely reported to attract rodents. If applicable, this may increase the likelihood of repeated damage to critical vehicle systems. This situation raises concern regarding the durability and safety of fuel system components, as such damage can render a vehicle inoperable without warning and may pose additional safety risks depending on when and where the failure occurs.

When filling gas tank and letting the pump stop on it’s own, Tank gets full, pump clicks off, fuel pushes back out of the fuel filler and I end up with fuel spill on my car and the ground. I worry that fuel spilling and any source of ignition equals a posible fire hazard. Jeep dealership replaced the fuel filler neck but the issue continues. After one repair attempted , I took the car back to dealership two other times for the same concern. 2nd time they say unable to replicate and the 3rd time did not perform any repairs. I have multiple videos of this issue happening when filling up the tank of my jeep. Vehicle has 27385 miles has done this since new, just doesn’t do it all the time.

Bought this vehicle with 27,000 miles on it. While driving on the interstate with heavy traffic. (Doing Highway speeds) All the sudden the power plant shuts down. It happend at 27,500 miles and happened again at 37,000 miles. It has done it to me four times now. Twice with heavy semi trucks bearing down on me and my family. This was a very UNSAFE situation. The Fault on the screen comes up momentarily and states "Capture Throttle Body Fault." and all power is lost to the throttle. SERIOUS SAFTETY ISSUE. as loosing power on the interstate at 75 miles an hour. I believe JEEP the company should fix this issue as I know for a fact I am not the only individual experincing this problem! Please feel free to reach out to me if you need further information. There was not a crash,fire or injury due to the ability to get off the road and into the apron of the interstate. In a higher traffic location this could be catistrophic. I suspect there is a design flaw with the gas tank. Everytime I put gas in the vehicle, and I go to multiple gas stations, the automatic shut off on the gas pump will stop pumping gas when the tank is full but the aperture to my gas tank regurgitates a great deal of gas onto the ground. Even when pumping at the slowest speed, I manage to spill 4 plus ounces of gas onto my car and the ground. This happens every time, and I doubt I am the only person this happens to. I have never had this issue with my other automobiles. This occurs every time I get gas.

Cut off on me while driving. Loss power in middle of street almost cause me to hit another vehicle. Took it to repair under warranty they took almost 2 months to repair. Did some research and apparently this is a common issue on these trucks ans it is still not a recall about it. Dealership replaced same fuel injection pump it had. So basically it will happen again sometime soon. My vehicle only has 17k miles.

The digital instrument cluster in my 2020 Jeep Gladiator has failed. The center display (LCD) went completely black, even though the backlight still glows faintly. This screen typically displays critical information such as vehicle speed, warnings, messages, and alerts. Without this display, I cannot monitor key safety information while driving. The analog gauges still function, but the central digital panel remains blank regardless of ignition mode (RUN or ON). After diagnosing the issue myself, I confirmed power was present at the fuse terminals. I inspected and replaced fuse F36, which was damaged and likely contributed to the display losing power or shorting. I also inspected related fuses F43 and F57 (BCM and IOD power supply), which were intact. This is not an isolated problem. Research shows that other Jeep Gladiator owners (especially 2020 models) are experiencing identical symptoms — black instrument displays, “Push Brake to Start” messages that stay on after shutdown, and modules not entering proper sleep mode. These issues align with the symptoms listed in TSB 08-002-21A, which relates to software and communication faults between the BCM and IPC. Jeep dealership confirmed the failure and quoted $700–$1,000 for full cluster replacement, stating there are no DTC codes and no reflash updates available, and that the cluster must be replaced outright. Jeep has not issued a recall, yet this is clearly a widespread failure affecting visibility and safety of vehicle operation. The problem poses a safety risk to myself and others. I cannot see alerts or diagnostic messages while driving. If this happened at night or during highway travel, it could increase accident risk. Jeep should issue a recall or warranty coverage extension for the instrument cluster failure in affected 2020 Gladiators.

This failure means I cannot see the odometer, digital speedometer, and all other vehicle status indicators displayed through the cluster. The problem has been confirmed by an authorized Jeep dealership, which has been unable to secure a replacement part due to a reported supply shortage. Jeep corporate has had this case escalated for months without resolution. As a result, I have been driving without these essential instruments for over 8 months, with no timeline provided and no workaround. In addition to the loss of fuel and mileage visibility (and potentially odometer functionality), I also cannot confirm whether the cruise control is active. This could cause potential safety risks during highway travel. There were no warning lights or error messages prior to the failure. The cluster simply went dark. The faulty component is still in the vehicle and available for inspection. Jeep is aware of the issue, and a case is currently open.

We have 2 2022 Jeep vehicles with the EcoDiesel engines in them (a Gladiator and Wrangler) that we purchased in 2022. I am filing a case for each of them on this site. In April 2023 there was a recall of the fuel pump on the 3.0 EcoDiesel and to date the problem has not been rectified for either of my vehicles. We have made notification to the dealership that we want to get this done but they say they do not have the parts in stock to do it. The dealership said they only get 1 fuel pump a month to replace and we are waiting and have been waiting for about a year since we notified the dealership for this safety issue to be rectified. I am filing this complaint as directed by the NHTSA website because I feel this issue has not been handled in a timely fashion and I believe that it is irresponsible of Jeep to not rectify this in a much quicker fashion. Each time we call the dealership we are told they do not know when it will be rectified.

My check engine light came on and I was told it set a code for a flash update . Dealership did the update and told me if the light came back on it was the fuel pump . Light came back on and I took it back immediately to dealership . They said perfectly safe to drive , it’s the fuel pump . My jeep truck only has 22,000 miles on it . Three days later I was driving home and the vehicle engine light was turned off by the dealership a second time and the fuel pump went out while I was driving with no light warning or nothing and my truck came to a sudden stop in the midst of me driving . Traffic was behind me and beside me . I was nearly missed . Jeep evidently has known of this same massively reported issues with previous models from 2020-2022 models. This is a huge issue driving and the vehicle just came to a sudden stop Locked down the shifter . Could not move the shifter without assistance to even put the truck in neutral to move it out out of the middle of traffic. Luckily the towing company knew how take the key and strap it into neural to move it . I pray Jeep Manufacturers are held accountable for not having this already become a safety recall . I seen many reports of this exact issue for their models since 2020 on Jeep Group Facebook community complaints for the Jeep Gladiator trucks after I experienced this possible death threat . Woe to the consumer whose lives could be at stake.
