I am experiencing the "Jeep Death Wobble" which occurs intermittently after hitting any road imperfections i.e. uneven road surface connections, potholes, or rumble strips, causing a violent and sudden shaking of the steering wheel at highway speeds. I feel like the wheels are going to fall off it shakes so bad!!! I either have to slow down to under 45 mph or less, or come to a complete stop in order for it to stop wobbling. This does not happen on smooth road surfaces. I have a stock 2021 Jeep Gladiator which I bought brand new the end of 2020. Whenever this happens, I need to get off the road if there are people behind me as I need to slow my speed and or exit the roadway. This puts me at risk especially when traveling interstate highways with tractor trailers and other large vehicles behind me. I advised the dealership in the past that I was experiencing this problem and they were supposed to order a stabilizer for my jeep but have never heard back about it. My Jeep is available for inspection as it has not been fixed. My Jeep was just in for bad calipers/brakes/rotors and had a multi-point inspection on 7/11/26 and 7/22/26. However, the wobble still happens. I am listing below the most recent date that this wobble occurred which was 7/26/26

Vehicle has been in the shop at 17,000 miles and had a complete transfer case, front and rear output shafts and rear Danna 44 (Max Tow) replaced in November of 2025. In June of 2025 vehicle has been in another shop for the same issues that occurred before these driveline repairs for three weeks now. Shop can not diagnose issues after three weeks. A star report has been made and Jeep is sending a technician to diagnose.

Jeep Death Wobble. Going 60, hit a bump and then the entire front end of Jeep started jumping back and forth so badly, I thought the Jeep was coming completely apart and I was going to crash. Applying the brakes didn't help, the steering seemed out of control, I was terrified and felt like I was going to lose going to lose control of the vehicle or crash into an oncoming vehicle! Thank God I didn't! I just had to wait till the vehicle slowed down and it eventually it stopped. This is now the 3rd time it happened in the passed week.

issue with Death Wobble. Factory 2" leveling lift was installed. Shortly after that I had issues. I was informed to replace the steering damper. that didnt fix the issue. Then I replaced the drag link with a after market one and the issue is better. But it is still an issue on some roads. the death Wobble is still there.

My 2023 Gladiator currently has 36,000 miles and is experiencing severe front-end vibration commonly referred to as “death wobble.” The issue occurs at approximately 60 mph when hitting a bump on the highway, causing the steering wheel and front end to shake violently. I have scheduled an appointment with an authorized Jeep dealer for inspection. This condition has nearly caused an accident, as I was traveling on a busy highway and had to slow down abruptly and pull over to regain control. There are no warning lights, messages, or other noticeable symptoms.

Safety Complaint: Suspension Failure Following Major Axle Rebuild In June 2025, my Jeep Gladiator underwent an invasive rear differential rebuild under TSB 03-002-24 at AutoNation. At that time, a certified Multi-Point Inspection (MPI) marked all suspension components and fluids as "Green/Safe." On February 5, 2026, a Shop Foreman at Gillman Jeep identified a catastrophic failure of the rear stabilizer links and leaking/bouncy front shocks, along with "diluted/failed" fluids. These safety-critical components went from "Certified Safe" to "Failed" in only 6 months/12,000 miles following the axle rebuild. The Safety Risk: The failed stabilizer links and shocks have compromised the vehicle's stability and handling. This is a documented Workmanship Failure (likely due to improper torque at ride height/bushing bind during the June TSB repair). The Manufacturer Response: Jeep Corporate Case Management (Case #95545827) is currently refusing to authorize safety repairs under the 24-Month Mopar National Warranty, citing internal dealership billing issues. They are intentionally obstructing the repair of a documented safety hazard and ignoring the contradictory safety inspections provided by two authorized dealerships.

While driving at highway speeds, my daughter experienced, without any prior symptom, a violent shaking of the vehicle in general, accompanied by violent shaking of the steering wheel, making the vehicle difficult to control. We have since discovered it is a known issue "popularly" known as the "Jeep Death Wobble". My daughter was startled and frightened by the extent of the shaking and nearly lost control of the vehicle while driving 6o+ miles per hour on a highway. She managed to pull off the side of the road and call me to come pick her up, unwilling to drive the vehicle any further. We currently live in Ohio; if we still lived in San Antonio, TX and she was driving on one of their raised overpasses, I fear what might have happened. I believed this to be an anomaly, but have now experienced this phenomenon on four out of five Jeep Wrangle/Gladiator vehicles within my own family, a failure rate of 80%. All occurred prior to 36,000 miles (but after three years). When I took the vehicle in for repair to the Jeep dealership, they modified my statement of the problem on official paperwork because, they said, if they mentioned "death wobble" on paperwork, they would have a team of engineers descend on their dealership (which they did not want). They also recommended a repair that did not fix the problem. As an engineer, I recognize this as likely a resonance design flaw. My fear is, based on this statement and my lived experience, this serious safety issue is being greatly under-reported. While some years/models have received recalls, not all have ... and Jeep appears complicit in addressing this safety issue across all vehicles exhibiting this frightening, potentially accident-inducing issue. I cannot understand why a recall does not cover all affected vehicles ... unless, as I mentioned, the issue is being under-reported by the company. Please investigate/address this issue before someone dies. I honestly believe I came close to losing one of my daughters that day.

I am submitting this complaint due to an unresolved suspension-related safety concern and the manufacturer’s failure to provide an effective warranty repair despite multiple attempts. The vehicle has experienced a persistent vibration and abnormal noise that appears to be suspension-related and occurs during normal driving conditions. This condition has been ongoing for over a month. As part of the warranty process, Jeep provided a full replacement set of tires, stating that tire wear was the cause of the condition. The original tires were worn out at approximately 15,000 miles. Replacement of the tires did not resolve the vibration or noise, indicating the issue was not tire-related. Two Jeep-certified warranty dealerships have evaluated the vehicle. At the first dealership, the condition was acknowledged; however, the dealership ultimately declined to continue warranty repair efforts, leaving the issue unresolved. In an effort to resolve the concern, I scheduled service at a second Jeep-certified dealership, traveling approximately 45 minutes each way. At that visit, only one component (right-side inner fender) was installed. After waiting over an hour on site, the vibration and noise remained completely unchanged. No comprehensive suspension inspection or repair was completed. At this point, the vehicle has undergone multiple unsuccessful warranty repair attempts at two Jeep-certified dealerships, including one refusal to proceed further. Despite repeated escalation emails to Jeep Cares, Jeep Wave, and Stellantis sent on December 23, I received no response or follow-up. The continued symptoms, repeated misdiagnosis, dealership refusal, and complete lack of manufacturer response raise serious concerns about a potential factory suspension defect and the safety of continued vehicle operation. I purchased this vehicle April 2025 from Hollywood Motors LLC in Columbus OH. I noticed recently the vehicle had some frame damage after getting alignment, Also the airbag warning lights were coming on. Took the vehicle to a very reputable frame shop and they thoroughly investigated and found there that the drivers side frame rail i pushed back significantly. Also recently noticed the steering wheel adjustment is does not work. I purchased AS IS but I got confirmation in writing from dealer that he guarantees there is no frame damage and the vehicle is safe. This is false information and I would like to return the vehicle or dealer pays for it to be fixed.

My vehicle has just under 45,000. While driving at freeway speeds I hit a small bump in the road. The vehicle front end wobbled until I slowed back down under 50 mph. This happened 3 times on the same trip. I immediately took it in to a dealer for repair. It is known as a "Death Wobble". The problem was a steering damper had failed. There are other Jeep models that have the same designed front end and have active TSBS for this exact issue. When searching Jeep forums online it is widely considered a problem for the Jeep Gladiator.

While on a trip from South Texas to Northeast Texas on the interstate highway system we hit a moderate bump and the front wheels and steering wheel experienced a very violent vibration. The vibration would not stop until I slowed from 75 mph to approximately 35 mph. This happened to me twice in my Jeep JL Wrangler which I reported under complaint number 11685327. Since the three incidents I have looked into the issue on the internet and it is abuzz with Jeep owners and claims of a "death wobble" in the steering system. It appears there was a previous lawsuit in which the manufacturer was not found at fault but this problem persists based on the internet traffic I've seen and the number of products being offered, by after market companies, to correct this issue. the rear control arm welds have repeatedly broken on this 2020 jeep gladiator which creates a hazardous handling condition that may lead to a tragic accident. the local dealer, Hilltop Jeep in Richmond, CA and Stellantis Customer Service have passed the buck and said it isn't their responsibility and have referred us to a body shop to get the suspension repairs done. this seems like a manufacturing defect.

Death wobble, while traveling down any road that has a bump or is not smooth as glass I get the front end wobble, the only way to stop it is to slow down, have had a couple near miss accidents because of this. This jeep is all original, second time in shop was told all original parts are fine no wear no loose parts. They are putting a steering damper on it. Was told by the dealership where it was purchased “it’s a jeep thing”. Because of the wobble had to replace tires because of uneven wear, had tires rebalanced multiple times trying to fix issue, now another fix to see if it works.

[XXX] 2021 Jeep Gladiator had a recall on the rear axle seal leak they told me the parts were on back order and the dealership allowed the recall to time out. When they ordered them I took it in and they said the parts were the wrong parts and needed to reorder them. Jeep will rev up to around 7000 rpms and hesitates to go up steep hills. Driving down the Interstate at Interstate speed. Suddenly, the front end started shaking uncontrollably which in turn caused the whole truck to shake violently. I had to slow down immediately. The shaking stopped at 60MPH. The truck is a 2022 Jeep Gladiator with only 47,074, miles. The truck has not been driven off road but just normal driving. Has not been wrecked or has struck any road hazard. The event has been commonly referred to as " Death Wobble". I have read that this is a common occurrence for Jeeps. I had to pay over $800.00, dollars for repair. There was no rhyme or reason for this occurrence.
