I have experienced this issue and it's been 9 months since the first issuance from Ford on this recall. I paid $523 to repair and this is insane since mechanic told me its an OME part so still going to possibly have same issue till recall is handled.

It’s been a 4 year battle. I received a bait and switch clone vehicle A Frankenstein!! The vehicle and vin are clones. The vehicle was delivered in the dark after hours during a time I was sick. Im also disabled. I had looked at the vehicle on the [XXX] website Hyundai Genesis lot then went and looked in person and test drove it. I was told it was a one owner vehicle out of Michigan. I purchased it two days later and traded in my perfect immaculate truck. I did not drive the vehicle until 4 days later and I noticed immediately the interior didn’t match. Warning lights were coming on. And when I got to my destination it all unfolded. I found receipts in the vehicle from the Lafayette In area that had a name on them. I tried to contact that person but was unsuccessful. I contacted the dealership over and over and over. I finally got ahold of a different salesman who sent me the original photos in their ad and they do not match the vehicle in my possession. Every seatbelt has a different year and date. There are other parts underneath that don’t make sense either. There are 3 warning lights on including traction and brakes. Immediately the brakes went bad. Paid $1200 to fix them and still not fixed. I don’t drive it unless I absolutely have to. It about made me crash into other vehicles that could have been fatalities if it wasn’t for my fast thinking. The vehicle has been pieced together and I guarantee you they did the same thing to the person who bought my trade in. That person is also in danger and I have pictures of that truck also underneath and motor etc for comparison and you need to investigate it as well as the vehicle in my possession that I try not to drive. This is an organized auto theft group spread out through multiple dealerships cloning vehicles and vins by swapping out the whole vehicle with flood salvage vehicles giving the salvage vehicle your vin identity affixing the stickers and vin plate to the salvage make it look like your car. Here are my vehicle details: Year/Make/Model: 2016 Lincoln MKX VIN [XXX] NHTSA Recall Number: 25V544 Manufacturer Recall Number: 25S87 Component Affected: Rear Flexible Brake Hoses Description of the Safety Concern: The recall notice explicitly states that a failure in the rear flexible brake hoses can lead to a loss of brake fluid, resulting in increased brake pedal travel and significantly increased stopping distances, which greatly elevates the risk of a crash. Recently, I have started experiencing a noticeable softening in the brake pedal ("increased pedal travel"), which makes driving the vehicle extremely hazardous. When I contacted my local Lincoln dealership, I was informed that they do not have the necessary parts in stock and could not provide a definitive timeline for the repair. As a consumer, I am being forced to drive a vehicle with a known, severe braking defect because the manufacturer has failed to supply the remedy parts. This is a direct threat to my life, my family’s safety, and the safety of others on the road. Furthermore, this prolonged delay is causing me significant financial hardship and stress.
