My 2011 nissan juke has approximately 118,000 miles and I've ran out of gas several times even when it said there was 88 miles left in the tank and the traction control light won't go off it stays on constantly along with the check engine light and tire pressure warning light and its making a squealing noise and its losing power I've only had it a year I know they have been recalled for certain reasons but I'm not sure if this car has been fixed or not i can't afford to get it fixed due to health and medical bills including hospital bills from when my wife passed away I'm finding several issues people have had with the jukes why isnt nissan extending the recalls because for people who buy them from private people dont know if the car has been recalled or fixed its very unsafe I've lost power while driving at 45 miles an hour because it ran out of gas even when it displayed 88 miles left my car needs fixed and its expensive I had to replace the ball joint and was told it was going to be almost 700$ or it wouldn't pass inspection this car has turned into a money pit i can't even resell it i need help getting it fixed please

Timing chain needs replacement however the timing chain was already replaced in 2014 under Nissan recall NTB14-030c campaign P4213. This car has 54,000 miles on it and has been serviced at Nissan dealerships according to the Nissan service schedule. There is no reason for this part to need replacing again after so few miles unless the Nissan part was bad, there is an underlying manufacturing issue with the vehicle or the recall replacement was done incorrectly. Nissan Consumer Affairs refuses to assist because the car is out of warranty.

I bought this car LATE 2019, from a used dealership. I WAS ON THE FREEWAY ON MY WAY BACK FROM A 1 1/2 HR DRIVE. AND THE CAR SUDDENLY STOPPED ACCELERATING.! I WOULD PUSH DOWN ON THE GAS PETAL AND NOTHING. FREEWAY WITH TRAFFIC. IT WAS SO SCARY! THE CARS BEHIND ME ALMOST HIT ME! I MANAGED TO PUT ON MY HAZARDS LIGHTS ON AND PULLED OVER. THEN WAITED A WHILE, AND THEN TURNED IT BACK ON AND IT WORKED. THEN IT HAPPENED AGAIN. AN SO ON UNTIL I MADE IT BACK HOME, MY 1 HOUR DRIVE TURN INTO 3HRS BECAUSE I KEPT PULLING OVER., UNTIL I GOT INTO THE NEAREST TOWN TO A AUTOZONE TO CHECK IT. BECAUSE THE ENGINE LIGHT TURN ON, THEY WERE ABLE TO GIVE ME SOME CODES REGARDING THE ISSUE. APPARENTLY IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE ●POWER TRAIN SYSTEM. CVT. TORQUE CONVERTER. IM NOT TO SURE WHAT IS THAT. IT HAPPENED ON THE FREEWAY, AND I WAS TERRIFIED! ITS ALSO IMPORTANT TO MENTION THAT JUST ONE MONTH AGO I PAYED AROUND $700 TO FIX THE SUSPENSION, AND CV JOINTS, NOT SURE THE NAME OF THE PROBLEM IT HAD. BUT IT WAS SOMETHING THAT KEPT EATING MY TIRES OUT.! I KEPT BUYING NEW AND USED TIRES, I EVEN TOOK IT TO GET IT ALIGNED. BUT IT KEPT EATING MY TIRES UP, THEN IN A TIRESHOP THEY TOLD ME TO TAKE IT TO A MECHANIC BECAUSE IT SEEM THAT SOMETHING WAS VERY BAD. BECAUSE THE TIRES THEY WOULDN'T LAST, I TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC AND HE SAID THAT I WAS IN DANGER BECAUSE THE CV JOINTS (I THINK THAT IS WHAT HE SAID) WERE ALMOST ABOUT TO FALL OFF.! BECAUSE THEY WERE DAMAGED AND THATS WAS ANOTHER ISSUE I HAD WITH THIS CAR. ●THE TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT KEEPS TURNING ON AND OFF, EVEN WHEN IT DOESN'T NEEDS AIR. ●AND THE TRACTION LIGHT TURNS ON LIKE IN A FLASHING WAY, AND THE CAR MOVES AND GETS OUT OF CONTROL SIDE TO SIDE. Transmission has a problem with overheating on any trip longer than an hour, leading to the car going into limp mode and being unable to maintain speeds and/or climb any high % grade. This has happened to me multiple times, leading to an immediate loss of power and the need to pull over and park on mountain roads to avoid rolling backwards. This is a known issue on juke forums, and nissan themselves have code read countless cars with the CVT transmission being the issue.

I'm the only owner of this vehicle. In Dec 2021 (@ 61000 miles) I had problems with steering my vehicle. I went to break and could not break on the expressway. I was on a 55 miles expressway during rush hour traffic. I came to a stop on the side of the road and when I try to engage the accelerator to get off to the exit the car will not move. It kept stalling and making grounding sounds. The steering wheel was hard to turn as well. Had the Nissan dealership tell me the transmission had to be replaced after 10 days of having my car at the dealership. The transmission was replaced. April 2023 (@ 87000 miles), I am back at the dealership with transmission again. This is the same transmission they put there in Dec 2021. I was going less than 10 mile on a normal roadway. The car will not accelerator or move over 10 mph. It sounded like it I was changing gear in a manual car. The abs light would blink off and on for a split second as the car jerk and trying to accelerate. I have also spend on replacing the suspending and steering, control arms and a whole bunch of other things.

Driving from Vegas to Los Angeles and 105 plus degree weather car went into limp mode unexpectedly in in 65 mph traffic in the fast lane was almost rear-ended could not accelerate to get off the side of the road for about 5 minutes. Car was jerking and not accelerating pulled over to check out what was wrong smelled burning fluids car would start but would no longer move. About 45 minutes to an hour later after checking all the fluid levels making sure they were at the appropriate level, restarted vehicle attempted to drive home car kept going into limp mode had to keep pulling over. Took the card to dealership because I heard there was some sort of problem with the transmissions and they should have been under warranty when I got there they told me after they try a temporary fix and it would take at least 30 days to get a new transmission (technically not new rebuilt same transmission that is flawed in the first place)for my car even though it was one of the transmissions pertaining to the bulletin issue by the Nissan corp. My car now lacks acceleration is still having difficulty going right into gear and makes an audible (inside the cabin of the vehicle) grating sound whenever I drive it Putting back in a rebuilt transmission that is bad because it doesn't have a large enough cooling system for it doesn't make any sense to me. It creates a hazard every time I drive in 100° weather or above I'm going to have to worry about possibly being rear-ended on the freeway because the car goes into the mode with no warning. A few minutes after lymph mode the check engine light will come on but not until after the car hits limp mode.

The car started to lose power while driving with the cruise control engaged, the odometer revved up from 2 RPM to 6 RPM then the speedometer started to descend from 75 MPH to 60MPH without the cruise control being disengaged. Luckily no drivers were behind me as I started trying to brake and pull over to the side of the road. There wasn't any indication that something was wrong on the dashboard, not one warning light. I proceeded to check the diagnostics with my micro mechanic, which gave me a code that the Torque converter was the problem. The dealership ran a diagnostic test and determined that the transmission needed to be replaced.

This has happened several times in the couple months ive owned the car, the scariest incident involving the transmission slipping and the car losing power was after having to stop on the shoulder of i95 highway this was the first time i had even given it more than the reasonable rate of pedel pressure or "gas" and im expecting to get up to speed to merge back into the flow of traffic however right at 45-50mph as im merging into the far right lane of the highway the engine just screams out and rpms max out the car slows rapidly. This is becoming more and more frequent and also theres times we take for granted when we need that engine to work to either get out of an intersesction, merge into traffic, use the cars power as a preventative measure to stay safe in various environments. Driving through baltimore city, a group of young men surrounded my car a week ago and start giving it an entire washing , mind youu im at a red light, but theyve got buckets and soapy rags sudz everywhere and when it turns green the older looking of them screams "50 bucks explicit explicit " " I know you got it" i dont have a dollar on me just my credit cards and also my little neice penelope. i see an opening and floor it but instantly engine winds all the way up , its just ravving out the boy throws a rock cracking my windshield , the crack is aligned with my face so imagine my anxiety levels trying to explain to my sister penelopes mother what had her daughter screaming and crying . So in short the transmission has been a nightmare and I would love to see a recall or some other recourse for me. I am a new owner , i have seen there was a lawsuit awhile back, i took the car to Jone Nissan in Beliar MD after they sweat talked me into bringing my car right away saying things like man are you lucky, and your still udner warranty , your getting a new transmission compliments of nissan, just hyping me up to the tone of take a loaner car and we're fix everything free of charge. CPO Juke with 42k miles on it; transmission failure seemingly out of nowhere. RPMs would indicate acceleration but no additional speed could be gained over 40mph. Car would drive fine for about 15 minutes before the transmission would begin to fail again. Took it to dealership, it was diagnosed with transmission failure and transmission was replaced under warranty. Took 2 weeks for the repair request to be granted; a total of 16 days from initial diagnosis to pickup after repairs.
