A federal safety recall was performed on the vehicle to install a rear subframe reinforcement kit. Before the recall repair, the vehicle operated normally and had no vibration at highway speeds. Immediately after the recall repair, a new vibration developed above approximately 60 mph. The vibration is felt primarily from the rear of the vehicle, occurs only while accelerating, becomes most noticeable between 60 and 80 mph, and disappears immediately when the accelerator is released while maintaining the same speed. The condition is repeatable and remains unresolved. The vibration creates concern for loss of vehicle stability and control at highway speeds because it occurs while the drivetrain is under load. No warning lights or diagnostic messages appeared before or after the repair. The vehicle has been inspected by both the dealership that performed the recall repair and an independent repair facility. To eliminate other possible causes, the front hub and bearing assembly were replaced and all four tires were remounted and dynamically balanced. Those repairs did not eliminate the rear vibration. The dealership attributed the condition to unrelated maintenance items, including tires, wheels, and brakes, but did not identify a defect with the recall repair or determine whether the rear subframe installation, rear differential mounting, driveshaft, or other components disturbed during the recall procedure contributed to the new vibration. The timing of the failure is significant because the vibration began immediately after completion of the federal recall repair and was not present beforehand. The component is available for inspection upon request. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate whether the recall remedy or repair procedure may have introduced a drivetrain or rear suspension condition affecting vehicle safety.

Please add me to the compliant pool. My transfer case/transmission went out - 2022, 80,000 miles. March 6, 2026 NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: DP26001 OPEN INVESTIGATION All wheel drive allegation NHTSA Action Number: DP26001 Components: POWER TRAIN Opened From: March 6, 2026 – Present Summary The Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) received a Petition dated January 9, 2026, requesting an investigation into the loss of the optional all-wheel drive capability in model year (MY) 2021-2023 Acura TLX and MY 2022-2023 Acura MDX vehicles. The Petition contends that the interfacing splines between the transmission and the rear wheel drive power take off unit are failing. Failure of these splines prevents the transfer of drive power to the rear axle, making the vehicle front wheel drive only. The Petition further alleges that this failure results in a reduction of vehicle directional control. The Petitioner cites 48 complaints received by ODI alleging the same failure. ODI will evaluate these complaints to determine if they are related to the failure cited in the Petition and will conduct a technical review under 49 CFR Part 552. This Defect Petition is being opened to evaluate whether to grant or deny the Petition. The Petition can be viewed at NHTSA.gov under NHTSA Number 11712885.

on 8/24, I purchased an acura mdx 2025 technology package. We drove home from the dealer, my mother heard a rattling noise but thought it was the car seat making the noise. The next day,I heard the noise again,it was coming from the right, rear back,I checked, and saw the wheel liner loose and thought the noise was being cause by a loose liner. My mother said we had to go back to the dealer on 8/31 to pick up the wheel lock and weather mats and we would have them check the liner. As the week went by,the noise was more often. On the way to the dealer, we could hear the noise after every bump or turning right. We gave this information to the dealer,we said we thought it was a loose liner but were not sure anymore as the rattling was more often. We did not feel safe driving home. They provided us a loaner and said they would look into it.On 9/4 they sent a text that the rear sway bar link was faulty, the part was ordered and the car should be ready by Friday. My mom emailed them to ask if by faulty, they meant it was loose or broken, they checked and said it was broken. It was expressed to them that this was concerning because it was a brand new vehicle, that we felt blessed that we decided to leave the car,had we driven back home, God knows what could have happened since a broken link can cause you to lose control and get into an accident. We asked if they would report it to the manufacturer or NHTSA? They did not reply. But text a day after stating that we must have gone through a pothole at high speed or hit something, and we were liable for the cost. After my mother sent an email and spoke with them saying that if it was not caused by us,that if the issue was there, was it caused during transporting the car from The manufacturer to the dealer?they said that the car was fixed and there would be no charge but kept insisting that we were at fault, that it happens alot, where people walk out of the dealer and come back with something broken the next day. (more to say but no space)

2022 MDX Type S. So far I have replaced one tire and two rims. Air suspension does not absorb any road hazard. Pot holes or expansion cracks the front end dives into them letting the tires and rims absorb the impact. Thank goodness no high speed loss of tire pressure

When driving to town with family, drove over train tracks and all warning lights on dash came on and power steering was lost. I was going about 30 mpg and barely able to steer the vehicle to shoulder of road in a populated neighborhood. My wife and kids were really scared and i was glad this didn't happen in a much busier area. The warning lights were: Adaptive Cruise Control, parking brake, Lane keep assist, All Wheel Drive, electric power steering, collision mitigation, trailer stability assist, and low speed breaking. Reading multiple reports online [XXX] etc.), others have reported the same failure and issues with their 2022/2023 MDX, likely being caused by a faulty wheel speed sensor. If my wife was diving i would fear she would be unable to steer the vehicle to safety. i have not taken to the dealer yet. THE CERTIFIED PRE-OWNED (CPO) 2017 ACURA MDX I PURCHASED ION 07/24/20 FROM DAVIS ACURA IN LANGHORNE, PA SHOULD NOT BE CLASSIFIED AS A CPO! I PAID MY AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR SHOP OF 20 YEARS THAT MAINTAINED MY LEXUS SUVS TO DO THEIR OWN 83-POINT DETAILED INSPECTION ON THE ACURA MDX.I WAS SHOCKED IN THEIR REPORTING WHEEL ALIGNMENT NEEDED - RECOMMENDED LEFT REAR TIRE EDGE WEAR & BODY ' EVIDENCE OF PREVIOUS ACCIDENT DAMAGE TO REAR BUMPER, RIGHT FRONT DOOR, LEFT SIDE DOORS, LEFT REAR QUARTER PANEL & LEFT FRONT FENDER. I WAS INFORMED THAT AT LEAST 50% OF SUV HAS BEEN REPAINTED & THERE WAS DIRT UNDERNEATH THE PAINT. WAS THIS FORMERLY LEASED SUV IN AN ACCIDENT THAT WENT UNREPORTED WITH CLEAN CARFAX AND AUTO CHECK REPORTS? THE LEFT DOOR EXTERIOR CHROME DOOR HANDLE WAS ALSO REPLACED BY DEALERSHIP BUT NO REASON IS LISTED AS TO WHY REPLACED. THERE ARE NOW ISSUES WITH: EXPOSED AIRBAG ' IS IT THE ORIGINAL OR WAS IT REPLACED?; TIRE PRESSURE VARIES (+/- 7 OR 8 ) IN THE REAR LEFT TIRE THAT HAS BEEN LOOKED AT BY MY LOCAL ACURA DEALER TWO TIMES IN ONE WEEK & THE 3RD VISIT WILL BE TO REPLACE THE TPMS SENSORS IN A CAR WITH ONLY 16,000 MILES?; THE DEFROSTER IS NOT FULLY WORKING IN THE LEFT PASSENGER WINDOW AND THE MISALIGNMENT OF THE LIFT GATE IS A CONCERN BECAUSE IT PREVENTS THE A/C OR HEAT FROM WORKING EFFECTIVELY IN THE 2ND & 3RD ROW, THERE IS RAIN WATER SITTING ON THE INSIDE OF THE SUV THAT REMAINS FOR HOURS. COULD IT MOLD OR CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE REAR ELECTRIC LIGHTING COMPONENTS? HOW DOES THE LIFT GATE TRUNK DOOR MISALIGN IF IT WASN'T IN AN ACCIDENT? IF THE LIFT GATE TRUNK DOOR IS MISALIGNED, WHY WAS THIS SUV SOLD AS A CPO & NOT USED? I DO NOT FEEL COMFORTABLE DRIVING THE SUV. I HAVE YET TO RECEIVE A CALL BACK BY PHONE FROM ACURA DEALERSHIP OWNER IN 4 WEEKS AND/OR FROM THE ACURA CUSTOMER CARE SPECIALIST IN THE LAST 10 DAYS ABOUT MY CASE FILED. CAN NHTSA INSPECT SUV FOR DAMAGE & REPAINTING?

TRAVELLING ON CITY STREET TIRE CAME OFF WITH MY 2 YEAR OLD SON AND 14 YEAR OLD BROTHER IN-LAW WITH ME IN THE CAR. PURCHASED VEHICLE FROM TRAVIS @ KTS AUTO SALES ON 09/23/19 ON 09/24/19 THE CAR WAS CONSIDERED UNSAFE AND BASICALLY NOT DRIVEABLE.. PRIOR TO MY PURCHASE OF THE VEHICLE TRAVIS TOLD ME HE HAD THE VEHICLE 3 WEEKS AND COUNTING AND HAD BEEN COMMUTING HIS SON BACK AND FORTH TO SCHOOL AND TOLD ME FOR SURE THE VEHICLE RAN GOOD AND DROVE GOOD. WELL IT DONT AND HASNT SINCE THE DAY AFTER I PURCHASED IT. THE ONLY THING HE WILL AND HAS OFFERED OR TRIED TO DO TO MAKE IT RIGHT IS TO TRADE IT BACK FOR AN OLD HONDA CRV IN POSSIBLY WORSE CONDITION AND WAY LESS IN VALUE THAN THE VEHICLE I PAID FOR, I HAVE 3 CHILDREN ( AND TRAVIS KNOWS I DO) SO I TOOK THE HONDA CRV ON A TEST DRIVE ANYWAYS CONSIDERING I HAVE KIDS AND REALLY NEED A RUNNING AND DRIVING CAR AND STOPPED BYE MY MECHANIC TO TAKE A QUICK LOOK AT IT AND HE DID AND SAID ABSOLUTELY NOT THAT HE WOULDN'T NOT TRADE THE ORIGINAL ONE WE BOUGHT FOR THE HONDA CRV AND SAID IF IT WERE HIM HE WOULDN'T EVEN PAY SCRAP VALUE FOR THE CRV IT WAS RUSTED ALL THE WAY AROUND THE ENTIRE CAR INDERNEATH AND AROUND MY MECHANIC SAID IT WAS VERY UNSAFE THAT IF WE WERE TO BARELY GET HIT OR HIT SOMETHING IT WOULD CRUMBLE AND FALL APART AND THAT THIS VEHICLE HE WAS TRYING TO GIVE ME TO REPLACE ANOTHER UNSAFE VEHICLE WOULD BE EVEN MORE DANGEROUS THAN THE 1ST VEHICLE WAS. ALSO TRAVIS FROM KTS LIED WHEN HE SAID HE HAD DRIVEN THE CAR 3 WEEKS+ BECAUSE I GOT TO LOOKING IN TO SEE HOW OFTEN VEHICLE WAS MAINTAINED AND THIS AND THAT FOUND OUT HE ONLY HAD IT 12 DAYS BEFOR SELLING THE VEHICLE TO ME (THAT'S NOT EVEN 2 WEEKS!!)

MY 2017 ACURA MDX HAS HAD ALL SERVICE, INCLUDING VOLUNTARY EARLY REPLACEMENT OF OEM TIRES WITH BETTER HYDROPLANING TIRES, AT THE SAME ACURA DEALERSHIP WHERE IT WAS PURCHASED NEW. HAS HAD ALL ROUTINE MAINTENANCE THERE. NO EXTREME WEATHER, NO EXTREME DRIVING, NO FLOODS OR WATER EXPOSURE, NO ACCIDENTS, ONLY TYPICAL SUBURBAN DRIVING IN MID-ATLANTIC USA, NO WHEEL DAMAGE FROM ANYTHING I'M AWARE OF. PROBLEM ' RIMS ARE DAMAGED WITH HEAVY SCRATCHES, AT LEAST ONE ONE HAS A CRACK, REAR TWO SHOW CORROSION CLOSE TO WHERE THEY ATTACH TO THE AXLE. EITHER A MAJOR MANUFACTURING DEFECT, SOME KIND OF MISHAP AT THE DEALERSHIP, OR A COMBINATION IS ALL I CAN THINK OF. JUST NOTICED THIS TODAY BUT THE CORROSION HAS OBVIOUSLY BEEN GOING ON A WHILE. CAR WAS MOST RECENTLY SERVICED WITHIN THE PAST MONTH, NO ONE MENTIONED THIS.
