VISIBILITY/WIPER

There has been numerous issues that affected my safety while driving and had to make costly repairs and replacements while on going. Alternator and serpentine belt broke out and all my coolant leaked out. had to stop in the middle of the street several Times by force having the abs, check engine light turn on having to turn the car off. Transmission shifter was so faulty I couldn’t pull out of park needing to replace it. Air leaks in the engine, electrical surges effecting headlights low beams I can’t see anything at night, dashboard and radio. The windows are has so much glare from sun light to other cars at night I almost cannot see ahead of me almost blinding me. The car constantly over heated. I’ve changed the battery, exhaust pipes, put breaks on it, ignition coils upper and lower intakes manifold but still proceeds to present me with a check engine light needing to unplug my battery to recent the car which turns off my eco system. Gas consumption is little to much at times The air bags light in the dashboard usually turn on constantly when adjusting the driver and passenger seat.

Headlamps are not working therefore causing a safety issue when driving at night. Initially, 2 years ago, April 2021 the driver headlamp was not working. Dodge dealership had replaced and within the year the bulb would come off and on intermittently. It cost over $400.00. On March 18, 2022 I took it back to Dodge dealership and because it was working that day they just said to bring it when it was not working? They had the car for the whole day and did not inspect anything. Now a year later both of my headlamps are not working and took it back to them again. Now my fuses are melted and have been told by them that the cars electrical system is faulty. The car will need a new PDC Power Distribution Center unit that controls the electrical power which is no longer made. He found a dealer that has the unit available but also includes the wires harness . The charge for this including labor is 5300 if he the dealer will sell it to him. He did not advise of price for part and labor separately. The dealer charged me 212.00 to tell me this. Meanwhile I have a car that is only 7 years old that I cannot drive safely at night and it will not pass motor vehicle inspection which is in 2 weeks. Therefore, now I own a car I cannot legally have on the road because of this issue with the headlamps.

Through conversations with a Dodge Certified Tech, this is ongoing and known issue with Dodge (RAM) trucks, dodge chargers etc. Curious as to why a safety recall has not been issued, with reports and complaints found online spanning back 2-3 years now. My car, after just 2 years of ownership, the windshield wipers have failed in operation. For 1 month, intermittent wiper functions were non-existent, 3 clicks would only get me "on all the time, slow speed", nothing else. As of yesterday 11/01/22, when I used turn signals to change lanes on highway, my wipers turned on to slow speed and would not shut off. (Turn signals and wipers on same lever, left side of steering column). I have had to pull the relay/fuse for wipers to get them to shut off. As I understand it, per NC state law, as part of safety inspection, windshield wipers have to be operational for it to be legal on the roadway. So now I am potentially operating a vehicle that should not be on the roadway. Dealership can't get me into a shop until 1 week or more out, no guarantee on parts due to manufacturing delays and backorders. Another note, my car insurance company refuses to allow me a rental vehicle, when I pay hundreds of dollars every year, with no filed claims. This issue should be looked into for a safety recall, with a number of reports being shown, and within some states, legally takes the vehicle off the road, unable to be driven. Thank you for your time and consideration.

VISIBILITY/WIPER

I viewed the recalls and it’s still having the same issues like it’s never been fixed, first off when I start the car it has a foul gas odor and the dealership said it was okay but I’m more than positive it’s an exhaust leak, also when I first got the car the heated seats wouldn’t turn off because of the radio malfunction I’ve actually took it to where I bought the car(John Gibson Autosales) to get it fixed but all they did was inserted a new radio screen for me and it made my problems even worse I asked them to fix it and they said I’d have to pay for any other work they did in the car.. It’s having multiple electrical issues and in my opinion I don’t believe the car is safe to drive at all with the heated seats turning on by themselves and having no control over it.

ALL OF MY STEERING COLUMN COMPONENTS QUIT WORKING, I HAVE NO TURN SIGNALS, WIPERS, BRIGHTS, CRUISE CONTROL, HORN OR POWER MIRRORS. NOW THE TAILLIGHTS ILLUMINATE ONLY WHEN THEY WANT TO BUT BRAKE LIGHTS WORK. I WAS STOPPED AND INFORMED THAT I HAD NO REAR LIGHTING AT ALL AND THAT IS WAS VERY UNSAFE. I'VE SPENT A LOT OF MONEY REPLACING PARTS BUT NOTHING IS GETTING FIXED NOT TOO MENTION THE SAFETY ASPECT OF IT ALL WITH NO TURN SIGNALS OR WINDSHIELD WIPERS AND THE TAILLIGHTS OR RUNNING LIGHTS NOT WORKING UNLESS I UNHOOK THE BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH WHICH I ALSO REPLACED. THE AIRBAG LIGHT COMES ON HERE AND THERE AS WELL. I BELIEVE IT'S THE TIPM BUT I NEED SOMETHING DONE ABOUT THIS. IT'S BEEN MONTHS SINCE I'VE BEEN ABLE TO DRIVE THE CAR AND HAVING EVERYTHING WORKING PROPERLY. I ALSO TAKE CARE OF MY VEHICLES AND KEEP UP ON ROUTINE MAINTENANCE.

ON APRIL OF 2018, MY CAR CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON . I NOTICED MY CAR BARELY TAKING OFF AS I INCLINE A HILL OR MAKE A SUDDEN STOP. AFTER OBSERVING HOW MY CAR WAS DRIVING SUDDENLY SLOW, I THEN TOOK IT TO LANDMARK DODGE IN MORROW,GA.FOR A DIAGNOSTIC. THE CODE GIVEN WAS P06DD(DEALERS CODE). I HAD TO GATHER UP 2500.00 TO GET (VALVE BODY WORK) DONE. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STAYED OFF UNTIL OCTOBER 2019 WHERE I TOOK MY CAR TO AUTO ZONE FOR A FREE DIAGNOSTIC, BUT TO MY SURPRISE IT GAVE THE SAME CODE. I WORK BACK AND FORTH OUT OF TOWN SO THEREFORE I DIDN'T MAKE IT BACK IN TIME TO GET IT REINSPECTED AGAIN FOR THAT CODE. RECENTLY ON APRIL 1ST.MY CAR STALLED AND ALL LIGHTS ON THE DASHBOARD CAME ON INCLUDING WINDSHIELD WIPERS. I DO NOTICED FURTHER AHEAD A WEEK LATER THAT WHEN EVER I RUN OVER A POT HOLE OR BUMP IN THE ROAD IT DOES IT MORE OFTEN. AS OF NOW, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS STILL ON AND MY CAR ELECTRICAL SYSTEM STILL IS FAILING. I'VE OWNED MY CAR FOR 7 1/2 YEARS NOW AND DO PLAN ON KEEPING IT AROUND FOR AT LEAST 10 MORE YEARS. THE CAR RUNS GREAT AND IS GOOD ON GAS. THANKS
