The contact owned a 2025 Honda Accord Hybrid. The contact stated that while driving approximately 5 MPH and making a right turn onto the driveway, the vehicle unintendedly pulled to the left. The contact stated that while attempting to turn the steering wheel back to the intended direction, the vehicle accelerated unintendedly, and the brakes and the steering wheel were inoperable. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle crashed through the garage door, hit cabinets on the side, and drove on top of the cabinets, 3 inches from the ground, and stopped. The driver's side and passenger's side knee air bags deployed. The contact stated that the driver's side knee air bag deployed and broke the plastic underneath the dashboard, which injured the contact's legs. The emergency call (eCall) system activated and connected the contact with an operator, who then called an ambulance and the police on the contact's behalf. A police report was filed. Both the contact and her husband, who was occupying the front passenger's side seat, were transported to the Emergency Room by ambulance. The contact sustained Hematomas on both legs, and the contact's legs were swollen. The contact was admitted for 5 days and was discharged to a rehabilitation center. The contact's husband did not sustain any serious injuries. The vehicle insurance company towed the vehicle to a tow yard. The dealer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the manufacturer. The manufacturer advised the contact that the vehicle insurance company would need to file a claim with the manufacturer; however, the insurance company had already deemed the vehicle a total loss and had sold the parts of the vehicle. The failure mileage was approximately 5,300.

I had an accident on I-85 I was rear ended after traffic slammed on breaks and the car behind had been riding my bumper for miles. He went through my trunk and almost came into my backseat. I was also pushed into the car infront of me which his directly on the drivers side of my car. My front end is completely pushed on the drivers side into to where you can see the metal frame. On the rear, the bumper and metal frame completely came off. I was hit directly on impact sensors on both ends and none of my airbags went off. And my seatbelt did not lock up. We were still going about 60-70mph when he hit me. The car is a total loss.

Vehicle was involved in an accident and according to eye witnesses, the vehicle stuttered when pulling out into an intersection. This resulted in a t-bone accident where this vehicle was impacted on the driver's side and the passenger with this vehicle suffered a severe traumatic brain injury. Vehicle was inspected by traffic investigation unit and insurance. Unknown if warning lights or messaging appeared prior to accident.

My vehicle has fuel injector issues and Honda refuses to repair under manufacturers warranty although it's a safety issue and defects in their products . When my vehicle starts it misfires and causes the vehicle to go in limp mode disabling all safety features. No airbags or brakes etc . If these thousands of vehicles remain on the road it's not safe to drive. The vehicle stalls in the middle of roadways making it dangerous for everyone due to Honda bad quality control. The driver side air bag did not deploy, however, the passenger side air bag ceployed when we hit a deer at 70 mph! Both air bags should have deployed since we hit the deer in the center of the car! My wife an I are very lucky to be alive! The insurance company inspected the car and considered it to be totaled. The sheriffs department also made an accident report! No warning lights were on at all, I just had the car tuned up and it was in good working condition! Air bags not deploying could be a Hugh issue for Honda in the future! The contact stated that while the vehicle was in for routine maintenance a diagnostic examination was performed which revealed the airbag supplemental restraint system was faulty. The contact was informed that the air bags may not deploy if a crash were to occur. The contact indicated that while operating the vehicle no warning lights or messages had been displayed indicating a failure in the airbag system. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was notified but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 38,000.

Upon pulling into a parking space, with the steering wheel almost at full lock to the right, when I braked, the car suddenly accelerated out of control and hit another car. HONDA OWNER'S MANUAL ON PAGE 63 STATES THAT THE AIR BAG IS ACTIVATED AT 65 POUNDS. IN THE YEAR THAT WE HAVE HAD THIS CAR, WITH MY WIFE IN THE PASSENGER SEAT, THE AIR BAG HAS NEVER BEEN ACTIVE. THE SEAT BELL WARRING WILL SAY PUT ON SEAT BELT, BUT THE AIR BAG WILL NEVER ACTIVATE WHILE DRIVING. SEE ATTACHED EMAIL TO NHTSA AND HONDA IN FEBRUARY, APRIL AND MAY. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR THE LAST YEAR, BUT IT STARTED IN JUNE 2019 AND IS STILL DOING THE SAME THING. ATTACHED ALSO IS THE SERVICE REPORT FROM CHAPMAN HONDA THAT WOULD DO NOTHING ABOUT THE VARIOUS PROBLEMS.*DT CONSUMER STATED HE IS HAVING ISSUES WITH THE SUN ROOF, WOULD NOT CLOSE ON A RAINY DAY.

2005 ACCORD HYBRID - IMA FAILURE, TAKATA RECALL AIR BAGS, AND POWER STEERING FAILURES. I HAVE TAKEN MY HYBRID IN SEVERAL TIMES IN THE LAST 8 YEARS WITH THE IMA AND ENGINE LIGHT ON. DEALER DID 2 COMPUTER UPGRADES TO "FIX" IT. "NOT FIXED"; I STILL HAVE THE IMA AND ENGINE LIGHT ON. NOW NO POWER STEERING OR $1500.00 TO FIX THAT AND HONDA SENT ME HOME WITH IT NOT FIXED - NOT SAFE! AT ONE POINT I HAD NO POWER AS I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM SEATTLE TO PORTLAND WITH NO ACCELARATOR POWER. IT WAS LIKE I WAS COASTING AT 50 MPH FOR ABOUT 75 MILES UNTIL I REACHED MY HOME. I TOOK IT TO HONDA DEALER, THEY SAID IT WOULD COST ME OVER $4500.00 TO REPLACE THE IMA, WHICH WAS UNDER WARRANTY WHEN I FIRST TOOK IT IN IN 2009, 2010, AND AFTER. THEY SAID "DRIVE YOUR CAR MORE". BUT MY IMA STILL COMES ON SINCE I DON'T DRIVE MUCH SINCE MY STROKE IN 2012 AND DON'T HAVE $5-10K LAYING AROUND. THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN REPLACED UNDER ORIGINAL WARRANTY AND THE EXTENDED WARRANTIES. HOWEVER, HONDA REFUSED TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY. NOW THAT I AM BEYOND 8-9-10 YEAR WARRANTY, THEY WILL FIX IT ALL FOR $8-10K. I ALSO HAVE THE TAKATA AIR BAG LIGHT COMING ON. I HAD A STROKE IN 2012, I CANNOT PAY $5K, $10K, OR EVEN $2K. THE ACCORD HYBRID WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE CIVIC IMA LAWSUIT, NOR INCLUDED IN THE TAKATA AIR BAG RECALL BECAUSE THERE ARE ONLY A FEW OF US OWNERS OF ORIGINAL 2005 ACCORD HYBRIDS, BUT BY THE COMPLAINTS I READ; ALL HAVE THE SAME ISSUES. I NOW HAVE THE POWER STEERING OUT AND THE DEALER TODAY SENT ME HOME CHARGING ME $250.00 FOR AN OIL CHANGE AND DIAGNOSTIC; THEY TOLD ME WHAT I TOLD THEM AND HAVE BEEN TELLING THEM SINCE 2009 WHEN I INHERITED IT FROM MY DAD. IT HIT THE PASSENGER SIDE AND I APPLIED THE BRAKE .
