Altimax RT43 205/55R16 The sidewall in the front passenger side tire has developed a very significant bulge. I have photos to confirm. I'm extremely concerned about an imminent blowout, regardless of speed, and the loss of control, significant damage to the front-right part of the car, wheel rim, and potentially causing accidents with other drivers. It hasn't yet been verified both 3rd parties (insurance, manufacturer, etc). I noticed it approximately 8/28/24 when a low-tire-pressure indicator came on on my dash. The tread is in good condition, and the tires have less than 20,000 miles on them.

Bridgestone Turanza Quiet Track Tires bought 2 April 2023, and 2 in July 2023 at Discount Tire.I has to replace all 4 today with than half (20,000) of the 80,000 mile tread wear. A ripoff and dangerous. I was notified by sales rep that Bridgestone knows these tires are not for the hot climate. I live in Conroe, Texas.

I purchased a new vehicle, 2016 Hyundai, from a local dealer, with a current mileage of 47,000. Hankook tires were OEM with the vehicle. I religiously bring my vehicle into the dealer for all maintenance, including rotating and balancing the tires every 3,000 miles. The first set of tires FAILED (less than 3/32) at approximately 23,000 miles. The dealer indicated that I need new tires and that the tread wear failure was more than likely due to a defective set. So, they sold me another set of the same tire. I was in the dealer the other day for maintenance, oil change, tire rotation, etc. and was told that the new set of tires have 3/32 left on them and that I need a new set of tires. These tires have approximately 24,000 miles on them. The Hankook tires that I have are supposedly warranted for 70,000 miles. The tread failure at 24,000 miles means I have approximately 1/3 of the use - advertised warranty and actual life expectancy is fraud - it is no where close. It is a gimmick to prorate and hook the consumer into buying another set of tires. The dealer is trying to sell me, yet again, ANOTHER set of tires. At this point I have gone through TWO SETS of Hankook tires, within 47,000 miles. This is not normal. OEM tires on my Honda lasted twice as long before having to purchase a new set. Yet, the OEM and new set that I purchased are averaging 23,000 miles each, with a said warranty of 70,000 miles?

The contact owns a 2017 Hyundai Elantra equipped with Hankook Tires, Tire Line: Kinergy GT H43, Tire Size: 225/45/R17, DOT Number: (Unavailable). The contact stated that while making a left turn, she heard a loud popping sound. The tire pressure warning light was intermittently illuminated. The contact then stated that she maneuvered the vehicle to a service station. The contact then stated that upon inspecting the vehicle, she noticed that the front passenger’s side tire tread had detached. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the tire needed to be replaced; however, the tire was replaced with the temporary spare tire until the tire became available. The vehicle was repaired however, the contact then stated that the same front passenger’s tire had recently been replaced in less than a year. In addition, the contact stated that on numerous occasions while attempting to unlock the doors using the key fob, the doors intermittently failed to operate as designed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the failure could not be duplicated. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was informed that the failure was not covered under the warranty. No further assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 34,007.

I got this used car from Hyundai Courtesy in late 2020. My issue with this used car is that there is no TPMS reset button to get the tires back to have the same tire pressure. Even with battery mode reset done, the tires are always out of sync after a few days or hours. I do go to the dealership to get the tpms fixed but after a few days, it is back to out of sync. I am writing to the safety board to inform them and hopefully, Hyundai corporate can look into this electrical issue.

We were taking the tire off to fix a problem so we used the Jack that was provided with the car. While my arm was under the car, the Jack bended, folded, and dropped the car straight down on the pavement. It was in the proper position, and it just couldn’t hold the car up and almost seriously injured me. I’m just lucky i was quick enough to see the car falling and just got out in time to not be crushed .

Was getting onto the freeway i15 southbound at 2100 in lehi utah as I was making the turn i ran over a street sign that had fallen Onto the road. There was no avoiding it due to it taking up most of the road that was available. As running over the sign I was hoping it didn’t cause damage. The front passenger side tire started going flat. I was thankfully able to get off the next exit (lehi main st.) to park in the subway parking lot. Was able to change my tire to the spare I had in my trunk. The tire size and brand is 205/50R17 93V Yokohama yk740 gtx

While driving at low speed (25mph) I could hear a sound coming from one of my tires that sounded like I had rolled over a large piece of tape. I slowed the car and it sounded like something was stuck on a tire. I pulled over and found nothing when I examined all 4 tires. In the morning I checked the tires and tire pressure was good on all 4. Drove to work and I could hear the fapping sound. As I was driving 55mph, the drivers rear tire blew apart into small 2" square pieces. The tire fragments tore through the fender-well, destroying it as well. This happened early in the morning and I was able to keep control of the vehicle. Westlake RP18 size 195/65/R15. Less than 6 months old and under 15,000 miles on them.

I have a 2017 Hyundai Elantra Sport and I do not put excessive miles on my car, I do not drive hard and I do not beat on my car. Today my father pointed out that one my tires appeared to have "DRY ROT." and he said that tire is dangerous and needs to replaced. Then I told him my other tires also had the same cracking or dry rot on them. I do not know a thing about tires I thought that was normal wear and tear. I told my father I have already replaced two of these tires on my ELANTRA I have owned a year because the garage said the tires were unsafe; I had no idea what "DRY ROT." Now that this "DRYROT" was pointed out to me I realized the other tires I replaced also had that cracking all around the tire and I am going to look for old pictures that will verify this. IN the meantime once again It looks like I am going have to purchase another new tire because of this irregular tire wear . Today I discovered there is a recall on the exact same tires I have on my car; two of which I have already replaced. This recall on the HANKOOK VENTUS S1 noble 2 tire seems to go by tire size and maybe my tire size is not on that recall but I have the same problem as you can see from my photos as described on the recalled HANKOOK VENTUS S1 noble 2 and it is an obvious problem with more than a select few tire sizes. Please look at pictures of my defective tire; I have already replaced two others, on a car that has 38,000 miles on car; and I have always rotated my tires every other change. Given I have already replaced two of these defective HANKOOK VENTUS S1 noble 2 tires already, I still have two HANKOOK VENTUS S1 noble 2 one is a size 225/40R18 88W and the other is 225/40ZR18 92W.

The contact rented a 2019 Hyundai Elantra. The contact stated that while driving the vehicle the tire pressure monitoring system would remain illuminated although the tire air pressure was at the correct levels. Additionally, while driving at speeds exceeding 60 MPH, the front end of the vehicle and the steering wheel would shake and vibrate and, on several occasions, nearly caused another vehicle to crash into the rear. The steering wheel was difficult to turn in either direction. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The local dealer and manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 63,270.

The contact owns a 2020 Hyundai Elantra. The contact stated while driving the vehicle at an undisclosed speed, the tire pressure and check engine warning lights illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic who checked the tire pressure and the engine oil levels. The contact was informed that the levels were at the correct levels however, the TPMS warning light remained illuminated. The local dealer diagnosed the vehicle with a defective sensor. The dealer performed am electronic control module software update to attempt to fix the failure however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

No warning lamps. Incident reported to tire manufacturer; no liability acknowledged. While parking at very low speed, sidewall contacted smooth metal curb at a slight angle and blew out. IMO, tire should have withstood the typical parking process and not destroyed the sidewall and burst under the conditions.
