Within the first month of ownership I began hearing a noise from the right front of the vehicle consistent with a brake or suspension issue. I reported this to the selling dealer repeatedly during that first month; it was not resolved. The noise continued and worsened over the following year, eventually also affecting the right rear. At approximately 20,000 miles, an independent licensed inspection mechanic found that the right front inner tie rod required replacement due to significant wear, and the right rear wheel bearing also required replacement. The vehicle failed state safety inspection as a result of these findings. The mechanic noted the repair scope required disassembly of the steering column, indicating a defect beyond routine wear for the vehicle's age/mileage. Given that these are safety-critical steering and wheel components, the vehicle has been taken off the road entirely pending repair, out of concern that continued driving could result in loss of steering control. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. A written statement from the inspecting mechanic documenting these findings is available.

Subject: Complaint Against American Warranty – Tire & Rim Coverage To Whom It May Concern, I am filing this complaint against American Warranty (1-800-346-6469) regarding my tire and rim coverage for my 2020 Jeep Compass (VIN: [XXX] , Mileage: 49,000). The titled vehicle is in my name, [XXX] , [XXX] . On June 26, 2025, I dropped off my Jeep for warranty service. Since then, I have been without a vehicle, and my claim has been mishandled at every step. 1.Unprofessional and rude treatment – When I attempted to conference call with the Harr dealership manager and the warranty department, the representative hung up on both of us, saying they “already knew about the case” and that I had to wait. Their tone has been dismissive and rude throughout my calls. 2.Delays and lack of resolution – After more than three months, my claim is still unresolved. I purchased extended warranty coverage specifically to avoid these issues, yet I have been left without a vehicle all this time. 3.Rental car denied – Despite repeated requests, I was told I am not entitled to a rental while my Jeep is undriveable due to warranty issues. 4.Improper rim handling and poor repair coordination – The warranty company appointed Alloy Wheel Repair Specialist (Contact: Shaundolyn Whittle, shaundolynwhittle@alloywheel.com, 877-743-2977) to attempt repairs. My rims were removed and remounted multiple times, leaving them scratched and further damaged. •Additionally, Elite Wheels (Contact: Nick, 518-579-9260, Claim #[XXX]) was also involved in the process. This created confusion and additional delays. 5.Additional out-of-pocket charges – Harr Jeep (114 Gold Star Blvd, Worcester, MA – Contact: Christian Aylward, 508-471-2625) has had to diagnose my vehicle several times to provide information to the warranty department. I am now being told I must pay these charges, as the warranty company refuses to cover them. This has caused me severe incon INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Accident On [XXX] at [XXX], I headed out of the Timberlane Estates neighborhood to go to volunteer at the NWR in Crystal River and was behind 3 other cars going out of the same neighborhood. As I started to turn from [XXX] (25 mph) to [XXX] (decelerating to about 10), I had to fight the steering wheel trying to straighten it out but instead the car continued left and hit a car at the stop sign. This shook me up quit a bit. When I got out, the driver of the hit car and I traded information. We both have State Farm Insurance. Called State Farm to report the incident and took pictures of the front of both cars and of the skid marks. Called my husband and as we waited for the tow truck, we realized that the CV joint (?lower all joint) was totally out, which also caused the tire to flatten as well. We realized from the skid marks that this occurred as I was starting my turn. That’s why I lost control. There were no injuries, though I was shook up thru the next day and sore in my right wrist, shoulder and neck. Car went to Jim Hudson Collision Center Crystal River, FL. Car was inspected by them and the State Farm Insurance adjuster. The attached photos are from the Hudson Collision Center. I have a few taken at the accident site if you want them too. Aggressive premature tire wear on the inner section of the tire tread on a 2022 Jeep Compass (purchased December 2022). Mostly on the front tires, similar slight evidence on rear tires. Alignment was investigated in March 2025 by commercial repair service center (not dealership). Alignment is within factory specifications. Service manager only recommended replacing the front two tires, as there was nothing they could do for the alignment - pictures attached of front tires. Back tires were rotated to front position with new tires mounted in the rear. Five months later front tires now need replaced with mileage at approximately 28,000 miles. Internet search for similar issue has overwhelming number of complaints documented by other owners across the U.S. and Canada. All complaining of replacing tires due to perceived alignment issues from the manufacturer.

Two bolts that hold the wheel assembly to the frame of the vehicle have broken off. The first in April 2025 was on the passenger side, and the second in July 2025 was on the driver side. The Jeep service personnel provided no explanation for how this could happen or seemed to have inspected the other components after the vehicle was serviced for the first broken bolt.

A knocking noise has slowly come into play from the hood of my 2019 Jeep Compass. With some research, it appears to be the front driver’s side axle causing this noise while in operation. The knocking sound is caused by the CV joint at the end of the cv axle shaft. As the cv joint wears down, it becomes less able to absorb shock and vibrations. If I were to continue driving with a damaged CV, the joint will disintegrate further, making driving impossible. I will not be able to control the vehicle and may get involved in an accident. This issue is out of my control unless I simply don’t drive it. This is also a stock part that wasn’t expected to need replacing within 5 years of having the vehicle. My current mileage is roughly 76,000 miles to which I don’t drive more than I need to.

Good evening, My name is [XXX] , I live in Boca Raton, FL, USA, and own a new car: Jeep 2022 Compass Lattitude VIN [XXX] . I report a serious safety hazard that can cause a crash injury or death that needs to be investigated and corrected. On Thursday, November 9 2023 I picked up my car from Arrigo Chrysler Jeep Autodealer located at 2250 FL-7, Margate, FL 33063 where my car was present for 13 (thirteen) days for the following service: a replacement of lost/stolen car keys. On the way from the Autodealer, my car started to push forward and back on the road when I pressed the acceleration pedal. The following signs immediately switched on: "Service Transmission", "Stop/Start System", "Tire pressure". I was able to immediately drive back to the Arrigo Chrysler Jeep Auto dealer. When I was returning an unsafe car, they reported to me: "an issue with the transmission", but have not clarified the code nor explained it to me. This accident on the road put me in fear for my life and I started to feel very anxious. I could not concentrate on the road. As of today, November, 30 my car is still present at the Arrigo Chrysler Jeep Auto dealer at 2250 FL-7, Margate, FL 33063 and I am not aware of what issue put my life and the life of my son in danger. I initiated contact with an auto dealer via email two (2) times: on November, 15 and November, 27, and have never received a response. Instead, today, November 30, 2023 at 5:43 pm I received a voicemail from Enterprise-Rent-A-Car that “I am set up by Arrigo Auto Dealership to return a rental car" that was provided to me on November 9, 2023, at a time when I drop off broken car. An issue with a brand new car that my family is going through and that I am making payments for is not acceptable to me or to any customers in the USA. I request to investigate the serious safety hazard defect of the car Jeep Compass 2022 that put my family's life in danger. Sincerely, [XXX] . Prior to the failure of the rear drive axles there were 2 instances of the 4WD lamps coming on. Reset the lever and light went out.Another instance had the ABS light come on.After several miles the light went off. The next morning while driving to the independent repair shop the car completely stopped on a Blvd in the middle of traffic.Luckily I was not rear ended by another vehicle. The car needed to be towed to the shop. Upon inspection by the tech was the rear drive axles had become corroded and needed to be replaced. As well as the backing plates. The vehicle is 8 years old and has 62,000 miles.

The contact owns a 2022 Jeep Compass. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, he heard abnormal grinding sounds coming from the front driver's side wheel area of the vehicle. Additionally, the contact stated that the Forward Collision Avoidance Emergency Braking System and Pedestrian Emergency Braking System was independently disabled. The message "Forward Collision and Pedestrian Brakes Turned Off" was displayed. The contact stated that the Automatic Emergency Braking System would engage inadvertently while there were no vehicles or objects nearby. The contact stated that the emergency braking system engaged while he was depressing the brake pedal. The vehicle was taken to the dealer on two separate occasions and the dealer informed the contact that they could not duplicate the failure. The contact stated that the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where it was diagnosed that an unknown software needed to be updated; however, the part was not yet available. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The contact was awaiting a call back from the manufacturer. The failure mileage was approximately 200.

Second time vehicle refuses to turn on. Purchased a "New" battery from the dealership and just a few months later the vehicle refused to turn on once again. According to the dealership the electrical wires were burnt out by the computer in my jeep. Tire pressure on my vehicle are always incorrect and I have purchased four sets of new tires trying to correct this error. 1.Electrical: the touch screen, which is used for the radio & backup camera, is completely shot. One day in May, I was driving my car & the screen went from working to a fuzzy image & then to it going completely black. The radio stopped working as well. The lights around the screen (connected to the buttons) work but tend to flicker every now & then. This is a safety risk for myself & my family because I don’t have the extra support & awareness to backup with confidence or warnings. It hasn’t been looked at by anyone & there were no warnings prior to failure. It has been a consistent failure since then. 2. Engine: Jeep keeps overheating. Has been since April. It was inspected by a mechanic & also paid to have it “fixed” however the problem persists. It is a safety issue because my car could overheat & stop working & cause issues with other drivers. I also have a 5 yo & we have to drive around with the windows down & heat on no matter the weather. Sometimes we get home & her face is bright red. Sometimes the warning light comes on & the fluid is at the appropriate level. 3. Tire pressure in at least one of my tires is always low. I receive a warning light almost every time I drive. These are brand new tires. After I fill up the tire, it is only “fixed” approx 1 day before the light comes back on. It was checked by mechanic & he stated there were no issues he could find. This has been ongoing since December 2021. This is a safety issue because I could get a flat tire & crash into other vehicles or cause an accident. Jeep is available for inspection upon request for all issues.

ALIGNMENT WENT OUT ON CAMBER, NO FACTORY ADJUSTMENT IS AVAILABLE. THE CHOICE IS WEAR TIRES UNEVEN AND RISK A BLOW OUT OR PUT IN AFTER MARKET ADJUSTMENTS. ALIGNMENT IS A NORMAL PART OF THE MAINTENANCE OF THE VEHICLE, NOT MAKING THE ADJUSTMENTS AVAILABLE IS WRONG AND MAKES THE VEHICLE UNSAFE TO DRIVE WITHOUT GREATER COST TO THE CONSUMER.
