FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING

The DC/DC converter went out. While driving [XXX], all the warning lights came on, no abs, no front collision warning and all other safety warnings lights flashed. Immediately after the lights came on vehicle completely shut down while driving leaving me stranded in the street in Greenwood, AR. I had my vehicle towed to the dealership. Land Rover was already aware of the DC/DC converter issue but told me it was the battery which I paid to have replaced. I drove my vehicle home from the dealership. After arriving home my vehicle would not lock. I contacted the dealership and was advised to bring it back in when they had an appt in 3 weeks. I could not drive my vehicle due to not being able to lock it. While driving the vehicle to the dealership to get repaired because it would not lock, my vehicle shut down this time leaving me stuck in a blind spot on a rural highway (55mph speed limit) with no where to pull over due to deep drainage ditches on the shoulder. For two hours I had to wave at vehicles letting them know there was a dangerous hazard in the road (my vehicle) while waiting for the tow truck. My vehicle was again towed to the dealership, 126 miles away. It was at this time I was advised by the service advisor later confirmed by the General Manager, Land Rover had an ongoing problem with the DC/DC converters. My vehicle has been at the dealership since February 9, 2025 because they do not have the DC/DC converter available. The dealership does not provide loaner vehicles. I have since researched the internet and found numerous articles and other complaints regarding the DC/DC converters going out in Land Rover vehicles. LANE DEPARTURE: ASSIST

The lane assist system causes unintended steering intervention, actively pulling the vehicle toward hazards and off the roadway. The vehicle forcefully steers toward turning lanes, skid marks, and normal road markings, creating a serious safety risk. This behavior occurs at speed and is terrifying and dangerous. The same behavior occurred in a Range Rover loaner vehicle of a different model, indicating a systemic defect rather than an isolated issue. Due to safety concerns, I have been forced to disable lane assist to prevent loss of control. The issue has been presented to the dealer multiple times and remains unresolved.

NHTSA complaint #11702873 — an unverified report by a vehicle owner.

2024 Land Rover Range Rover Sport Dallas, TX

LANE DEPARTURE: ASSIST

The vehicle has multiple safety and operational defects that remain unresolved after four service visits on April 10, May 28, June 19, and August 2, 2024, totaling more than 30 days out of service. Lane Keep Assist malfunctions unpredictably at highway speeds—at times making abrupt steering inputs without warning or failing to intervene during lane departure—creating a safety hazard. The vehicle has excessive wind noise, suggesting door or glass seal issues. The infotainment system intermittently crashes, freezing or disabling functions including the backup camera and Bluetooth phone audio. Dealer diagnostic scans showed 15 ECU modules not communicating and multiple diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) across systems, indicating systemic electronic faults. Despite software updates and repair attempts, the problems persist and continue to impair the vehicle’s safety, reliability, and normal operation.

BACK OVER PREVENTION: REARVIEW SYSTEM BRAKING

I was on the highway and the rear spoiler over the back window flew off with the camera installed in the spoiler. The rear camera no longer works as a result of the spoiler flying off the vehicle. I contacted Land Rover of Brooklyn and was informed that they will not make the repair or honor the recall.

BACK OVER PREVENTION: SENSING SYSTEM: CAMERA

I reported issues with my car stalling, front and rear camera going blank and smoking under my hood, in addition leaking coolant. I immediately requested for the dealership to inspect the vehicle and I smelled coolant and saw the coolant on my garage floor the dealership stated they did not find anything. This occurred during my first oil change at around 6,000 miles. It happed again at the second one as well. I had the same issue when I got my oil changed amongst other issues no issues detected. I went to the dealership to get an oil change and the code P00B0-49 was showing the dealership asked if I wanted to pay $265 to diagnose the vehicle I stated I would not because these issues didn’t happen overnight and there could be potential recalls not addressed when they should have been.

BACK OVER PREVENTION: REARVIEW SYSTEM BRAKING

The backup camera fails to display any image on the screen, significantly impacting my visibility while reversing. This issue occurred unexpectedly. Upon contacting the dealer, I was informed there is an active recall (24V023) related to this problem, but my VIN is not included. I believe my vehicle is also affected by the same recall. For reference, Land Rover’s internal recall number for this issue is N778.

2020 Land Rover Range Rover Sport Irvine, CA 5 injured

LANE DEPARTURE: ASSIST

Vehicle Safety and Functionality Concerns: 1.Steering Issues: Steering remains uncentered and unresponsive despite new tires and alignment at the dealership. Excessive steering margin, particularly dangerous in rainy conditions, leading to steering errors. 2.As the new generation Range Rover Sport in 2020, it has dual exhaust pipes, but only one side works. The dealer just said it was normal, but it is visually estimated that it will cause serious environmental pollution. 3.Lane Keeping Assistance Malfunction: The feature is almost non-functional, failing to keep the vehicle in its lane even under clear weather and road conditions. 4.Self-Closing Door Hazard: Doors lack anti-pinch sensors, causing multiple finger injuries to family members, including a severe incident where a finger was pinched off. This poses a severe safety risk, especially for children.

2020 Land Rover Range Rover Sport Old Westbury, NY 3 injured

LANE DEPARTURE: ASSIST

1. The central control display of the vehicle is often black and the map cannot be viewed while driving, which will cause tension and panic and make driving unsafe; 2. The lane centering of the vehicle often does not work, it cannot work normally, and it directly deviates to other lanes; 3. The automatic closing function of the car door does not have the function of preventing pinching. Several of my friends have already had their fingers pinched by the car door. I tried to communicate with them, but they did not check. You just have to be careful yourself, this has taken its toll on the body multiple times and without any warning lights. All of the above situations have no warning lights, have not been inspected, their manufacturers shirk responsibility, we have email communication details, they let me sue through lawyers, and they will respond accordingly, which makes me unable to understand. They ignore customers' life safety.

2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport Sea Bright, NJ

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL

Adaptive Cruise Control does not recognize (at times) stopped cars. SUV will accelerate into a stopped car. Similar problem on the NJ Turnpike traveling 65 mph with Adaptive Cruise Control. All lanes had a meaningful slow down and SUV continued to accelerate into slowdown. Almost had an accident and had to slam on the breaks. There was NO collision warning (should he alerted). The Lane Assist is buggy and pushes against my natural steering for no reason. It’s constantly trying to steer against my 2 handed steering.
