My ABS alarms constantly as I drive. This issue started in September 2024. I cannot use my truck as desired because of constant alarming making traveling, as the truck was purchased for, impossible to enjoy for us. I have contacted my dealership approximately twenty times about repairing. I have been given multiple answers but have received no help. I have contacted customer care, customer service departments at Stellantis/Mopar five times and basically have been given the same answer, we are working on a repair. Please get Stellantis/Mopar/Ram to help customers. Manufacturer Recall Number-C4B NHTSA Recall Number-24V-896 Recall Status Recall: Incomplete, remedy not yet available

I still haven’t heard anything about how to get help on this. I have a truck with recall I haven’t been able to drive and it basically sits in my garage since 2023. I’m trying to get help, this is an unresolved complaint the manufacturer isn’t helping me. OID 11688292 previously filed.

ABS and Traction control lights keep coming on intermittently. I know this is a known problem and a recall has already been issued. I feel like this is too important of an issue for Ram to be allowed 18 months and still no remedy. I could understand if this was a part availability wait but to not have a remedy after 18 months should require some sort of punishment for them or something should be done to make them fix this issue. There were previous models that didn't have this issue and there are replacement HCU modules out there for a 2011 - 2016 as well as 2019 and newer models that are good parts not under this recall, why can't the remedy be to use the parts used on these models to fix this issue. That is something that shouldn't take 18 months for a company to resolve. It appears they do not really plan to resolve this issues from what dealers are telling us. That is uncalled for.

I had to drive my truck yesterday and this ABS issue is causing my cruise to suddenly stop working, the service engine light to come on and STELLANTIS WILL NOT ISSUE A RENTAL OR PAY FOR THE REMEDY THAT WILL FIX IT PER THEM. They are saying that I need to pay for this and then they MAY or MAY NOT reimburse me. At what point will you start pressing this issue being a SAFETY advocate and US business that is paid to make sure these vehicle manufacturers are fixing these issues? US Customer Care [XXX] > Fri, Mar 20, 5:15 PM to me Hi [XXX] , This is Darell, one of the supervisors in the Stellantis Recall Department. I attempted to reach you by phone, but your voicemail inbox appears to be full, so I am sending this email instead. Regarding your concern about Safety Recall C4B: Hydraulic Control Unit, please note the following: At this time, the official Stellantis recall remedy is not yet available, even though the recall is currently in Phase 4 of 5 toward final remedy release. We also do not have a timeframe for when the final remedy will be issued. However, there is a suitable alternative repair option using parts associated with the recall remedy for the 2017–2018 Ram 3500 Cab Chassis (DD) and Ram 4500 <10K lb. Cab Chassis (DF). Below are the part numbers that may be presented to your dealership. They will be able to determine the appropriate next steps based on the vehicle's condition. There is still no remedy to this recall and my truck is affected - I have been driving with NO ABS AND NO TRACTION CONTROL for almost 4 YEARS. This has also deactivated my cruise control. This is unacceptable and compromises me and my families safety. This is not a question of if it is going to happen, but when. My vehicle isn't under the category of "may be susceptible to failure" it has failed and I have permanently lost those BASIC and CRITICAL safety features. It is simply a matter of WHEN the lack of those features will cause an accident. There must be something done. . I have spoken with Mopar and several dealerships and nobody has given me any solution other than to say they will call me when a remedy is available. That is NOT ENOUGH. Recall language for C4B "The brake hydraulic control unit (HCU) on your vehicle [1] may be susceptible to failure or malfunction which may result in a reduction or change of Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) /Electronic Stability Control (ESC) /Traction Control performance. A failing HCU will initially result in the intermittent loss of ABS/ESC/Traction control progressing to permanent loss. The loss of ABS/ESC/Traction control may cause a vehicle crash without prior warning. "

My ram truck will intermittently have a Christmas tree of warning lights on the instrument cluster, which occur while driving. During these periods, I do not have access to four-wheel-drive, accident avoidance, antilock brakes, etc. If I continue driving the truck for the remainder of the day, the lights will usually go off, but will be stored in the vehicles PCM. the dealership has previously evaluated this and reports that they cannot fix or evaluate the vehicle because there is not an active warning light when I bring it to the dealership. However, when these lights occur, I could be towing a heavy trailer and have no access to the truck safety systems until the lights correct itself. This has occurred more than once. I do not take photos of the lights each time. The photo included is only one of the times. The last time I believe this occurred was on 1/29/2026. Each episode are the exact same warning lights.

Hello, I am formally documenting a serious safety incident involving my recently purchased 2026 Dodge Ram 3500 Tradesman 6.7L dually, purchased from Towbin Dodge in [XXX] , on May 9, 2026. On May 13, 2026—only five days after purchase—we were operating the truck for our dumpster business while towing a GN trailer loaded with approximately 5 tons. We were traveling down Mount Charleston after a pickup when a critical brake failure occurred. While descending the mountain grade, the truck’s braking system failed to respond. A warning light appeared on the dashboard indicating an issue with the electric brake system. We had tow/haul mode and exhaust braking engaged, but neither system functioned properly. When my father pressed the brake pedal, the vehicle did not slow down. With a steep descent ahead and no effective braking response, my father was forced to steer the vehicle off the road into a ditch to avoid a direct impact with the mountain, which could have resulted in a fatal collision. After stopping, we noticed signs of extreme brake overheating, and the system appeared to be close to catching fire. I have video and other documentation of the incident. The vehicle is currently in the dealer’s possession. This is a major safety failure occurring within days of purchase, and I am requesting a full investigation into the brake system and all related components, including any recalls, defects, or electronic braking malfunctions. I do not want the truck anymore! Given the severity and risk to life involved, I am requesting immediate action and a full resolution regarding this vehicle. While driving my truck under normal conditions and using the turn signals as expected, I noticed an issue after parking in my driveway. The turn signals began activating automatically without any driver input, alternating from left to right approximately every 5 seconds. The behavior stopped once I manually engaged the turn signal lever. The backup (rear) camera worked intermittently, then did not work at all. Safety was put at risk by a lack of image during the backing event. The vehicle was taken to a local Ram dealer, where they reproduced the issue, diagnosed that the camera had an internal malfunction, and replaced the rear camera. No warning messages were displayed, only a black screen when backing.

We have been waiting over a year now for the below to be remedied. Our ABS light goes off constantly and when it does, it causes cruise to stop working. There is a notification alarm (ding) that goes off and on while driving the truck. We pull a 41ft 5th Wheel and we were told it was okay to pull, however, we have now been advised that it's not a good idea to pull. How is this fair when we bought this truck for the intention of pulling our 5th wheel and now it's not safe. Therefore, our truck can't even be used for the intended purpose safely. I've looked into Nebraska Lemon Law and I feel that we are WAY over the point of having to wait for this correction to be sent to a dealer so that we can get it fixed. I would appreciate a part being sent ASAP so we can use our truck for the intended purpose of hauling our 5th Wheel or buy this truck back and give me a new one. I'm tired of not being able to use our truck to pull our 5th wheel (We don't have another vehicle that can pull our camper) and I'm sick and tired of driving the truck and having the ABS going on and off and on and off and not being able to use cruise. Not to mention the sole fact that it really isn't that safe if a crash can happen. 2018 RAM 3500 VIN: [XXX] Recall data refreshed on Mar 16,2026 1 Unrepaired Recalls associated with this VIN Nov 27,2024 Manufacturer Recall Number: C4B NHTSA Recall Number: 24V-896 Recall Status: Recall Incomplete, remedy not yet available Summary Some (2017-2018 MY Ram xxx) vehicles may have been built with a brake hydraulic control unit ("HCU") that is susceptible to failure or malfunction which may result in a reduction or change of Anti-Lock Brake System ("ABS")/Electronic Stability Control ("ESC") /Traction Control performance. There is a recall for the trailer brake control and trailer wiring for light. I bought the truck to tow my 5th wheel trailer and have travel plans starting in march of this year.. ram has put a stop sale on 450k trucks because of this recall. The dealers are fixing the unsold trucks on the lot before they fix customer vehicles that have already been purchased. All the dealerships in Arizona are telling me it could be 3-6 months before my truck is fixed.. so I can’t safely tow a trailer or go on my trips. So basically I have a 1 ton truck that is useless to tow a trailer

Trucks DEF Gauge malfunctioning goes from full, to half, to full, to empty, and then warns about going into limp mode. Filled with DEF and still doing it. Took in for repairs, company said they fixed it, but within 3 miles gauge was doing the same thing. This is a hazard as it will put the truck in limp mode. Known issue with many complaints, needs fixed

Both front ball joints wore out at 20,000 miles The 3rd break light leaks into the cab at 26,000 miles & won't be warrantied even though there's an active recall for our same truck, same part just different model

While driving my truck I noticed my mpg gauge was showing 0 mpg. Then I realized my "miles to go" gauge was reading "low" even though I had plenty of fuel in the tank and my fuel gauge was showing 3/4 full. Even though I use my truck as a commercial vehicle, and drive coast to coast, I was luckily only a couple hours from home, so I kept driving to try to make it home. I did make it home, but during that time, my "check engine light came on along with my "low fuel warning" light. I also realized during that time that my odometer had stopped working. It wasn't showing any numbers at all. When I got home, I checked online to see if anyone else had heard of this problem, or how to fix it. That's when I realized just how common this problem is. Even though my truck is used in the US and my mileage is calculated in miles, the odometer is programmed to stop working at 1,000,000 kilometers, which is 621,369 miles. Who would know or expect this to happen? I called several independent garages, all of which refused to attempt to fix an odometer problem because of the legal implications. I then called several Ram dealers who all told me they had never heard of this and would have to call FCA for advice on how to fix it. After two days of waiting, my local dealer called me back and said they could give me an appt a week later to diagnose the problem with my truck. They said FCA knows about the problem, but to fix it, it has to have a new gauge cluster installed. Nobody I talked to was able to tell me if the truck was safe to drive or why Ram wasn't warning owners of this problem when their trucks reached such an odd number of miles. When they replace the odometer, it will start over again at 0 miles and a sticker in the door jamb stating that the odometer was replaced at 621,369 miles, as if anyone would think to look in the door jamb for this sticker. The reason so few other drivers are going through this problem is because they are buying an OBD reader and resetting it.

After normal operation, I shut off the vehicle, and within seconds it caught fire without any external cause. Our insurance company and Look Larson Dodge investigated the incident over approximately 3½ weeks but could not determine a definitive cause of the fire.

On Sept. 11, 2025 my truck parked in my drive way. It was parked there all night. When I opened the doors to get in smoke and flames started coming out. The center console was on fire. The next day on Sept. 12, 2025 while at the dealership to have the truck inspected it caught fire again further burning the center console, the passenger seat and the roof. The dealership told us there is nothing they could do so we had to have the truck towed back to my home. Sunday night on Sept. 14,2025, I heard a loud pop noise and when I walked outside the entire cab of the truck was engulfed in flames. We had to call the fire department and they had to come put the fire out. Each of the incidences started spontaneously when the truck was just sitting parked.
