Purchased set of 4 Cooper CS5 Ultra Touring 195/65R1591H tires on 26 Jun 2026 @ 48,847 miles on the odometer. Three of the tires had the same serial number of U9AE1CR2622, with the 4th of U9AE1CR4822. Brought car in for service on 20 Oct 2025 @ 65,340 due to a slow leak on the rear passenger and was informed the rear passenger and front driver tires had tread separation and needed replacing. The tires both had a serial number of U9AE1CR2622. Tires were replaced. 15 Aug 2026, the front driver tire (the remaining tire with the U9AE1CR2622 serial number; it had been rotated to that position during the 20 Oct 2025 service) the tire pressure indicator light came on and discovered a slight (~7 psi) drop and aired up to correct pressure. However the tread appears rounded as apposed to flat across like the other tires and have confirmed the tread has separated. The car is driven moderately on paved roads and does not sit for extended periods of times. The tread depth is still quite deep. I expected much more out of these tires and do not plan on buying Cooper again. I believe the Cooper CS5 Ultra Touring 195/65R1591H tires (and perhaps more specifically, the U9AE1CR2622 batch) is defective and dangerous.

The contact stated that while driving on several occasions at various speeds, there was an abnormal sound coming from each tire, and the tires were slick while driving in inclement weather. After my annual Massachusetts state vehicle inspection, it was found all 4 of my Yokohama tires (195/65r-15) had serious dry rot which exceeds one inch in length. The tires came with the vehicle purchased new from my local Toyota dealer on 6/27/22

The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the low tire pressure warning light illuminated, with several other unknown warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. However, the independent mechanic stated that the tire pressures were not low, and that the cause of the failure was not determined. Over the past year and a half I’ve had to deal with unknown reasons for at least 13 tire problems. And one of those problems was a complete blow out on the highway. When I went to get my spare tire and change it there wasn’t anything in the trunks spare compartment. I called the dealership and they said they don’t do that (meaning they don’t provide the car with a spare). I was very confused and stressed. I felt played and wasn’t made to feel confident in this purchase. That not the only thing. The electric system does pretty much whatever it wants. Changes my music, gives advice for things we didn’t ask and the volume is always highering itself and lowering just whenever it chooses. The airbag light has been on most of the time letting me know the passenger airbag isn’t on or working properly. The engine light has been on for at least four months now. I understand Warranty for regular checkups and maintenance but this feels a bit more serious than me making sure I’ve secured my warranty. I have called and taken the vehicle into both Toyota of Visalia and Toyota of Selma where I got financing for the vehicle. Toyota of Visalia wasn’t very much help at all and preceded to talk down to me. Toyota of Selma keeps giving me the run around and telling me different things about my warranty. This car isn’t worth the trouble my credit score goes through to secure it each month just to have something else fail me in it. At this point I’m trying to figure out how I’m going to replace the DC to DC because the car died a week ago and hasn’t turned back on since. And yes I’ve tried jumping the battery already. I’ve only had this car a year and a half. I wasn’t made aware of any issues with it when I drove it home that day. It was a nice ride home but less than a couple months I was already having questions about its performance. I really wish this complaint would even help but I’m just writing to probably waste my own time.

Upon inspection, it was discovered that the two front tires had bubbles on the outside sidewall. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The contact stated that metal steel belts were showing. The contact took the tires back to Pep Boys, and the contact was informed that the failure was due to an alignment failure. p195 /65r/15 91 h. yokohama avid ascend. i bought 4 tires on 04/11/22 at kinderhook toyota my car had 61008 miles on it. on 08/04/25 brought my car to same dealer was told i needed new tires. multipoint inspection said front tires had 3 32nd of tread and back tires had 4 32nd of tread wear left. my car had 80678 miles on it. the tires lasted less than 20000 miles. they had an 85000 mile warranty on them. i can understand tires lasting maybe 60000 miles or so, but only 20000 miles? was told i can contact your office about this. could not find a different page for a non- accident problem. dealer said to contact yokohama customer service and kinderhook toyota would send the tires back.

I noticed that on the passenger front has a boge on the sidewall. Than I received a call from Firestone that front driver side has a boge on the sidewall. That tire the boge was on the inside not visible. So we had to replace both tires.( 215/45R17)

All FOUR Goodyear Exhilarate tires cracked and separated from the sidewall on the interior side of the tire. i have one of the four tired saved and available for inspection. With the tire separating at the bead and sidewall on the interior side completely away from the butyl liner inside of the tire, it was a mere miracle that the car actually made it to the repair shop without blowing out, causing an accident which could have been a fatality or at least a very bad accident. The tires were taken to a Goodyear service center and after talking with corporate said it was nothing they could do and sent me on my way. By chance the car was going on a trip and wanted to get the tires rotated and the oil changed beforehand , had he not chosen to do such the outcome could've been terrible. There wasn't any warning of tire failure or loss of air due to the separation. Again, it was only by chance that this was caught and ALL FOUR tires replaced . The tire dealer stated that he hasn't ever seen ALL FOUR completely separate at the exact same location all the way around the tire. It is without a doubt a manufacturing error , old /burnt rubber used in the tire making process.
