VIN # [XXX] Ford Customer Service Current Case Number: [XXX] Integrated Trailer Module Failure after recall completion. NHTSA Campaign ID Recall # 26C10 was completed at Coconut Point Ford in Florida on 3/26/2026. This recall identified that when towing a trailer, the integrated Trailer Module may lose communication with the trailer possibly causing a loss of brake and turn signal lights or a loss of brake function. On [XXX] in the middle of a seriously steep and dangerous decent, the system reported that the trailer was disconnected from the truck causing, loss of trailer brake control which in turn cause a reliance on the truck. The antilock brake system failed moments later. I had to literally stand on the brakes to slow down to keep from going over the side of the mountain. At the end of the dirt road where it Ts onto the highway we could not stop. We travel with a 23 foot 2019 Vintage Cruiser manufactured by Gulf Stream. That weighs approximately 5200 lbs empty; I have a Cat Scale reading of 4840 pounds from a 12/6/24 weight with my previous truck. We do not travel with any water in our Black, Grey or Fresh Water tanks so even fully loaded we are still well within specs for this trucks towing capacity. The brake control on the truck was set to 5. Faricy Boys Ford in Canon City Colorado, verified that a recall had been completed and worked on the truck for 3 full days, testing many things including tailgate malfunctions and miscellaneous electrical systems trying to replicate the problem, no dealer has been able to replicate the problem. They finally replaced all the brakes and rotors as well as flushing the brake system. I respectfully requested that Ford Motor Company assign the review of this case to a regional Customer Service Manager / Engineer to review the complete repair history of this vehicle, via registered mail. We haven heard anything yet. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

I own a 2024 Ford F-150 Lightning Platinum built in August 2024. The vehicle has been at the dealership for over 45 days for severe, unresolved electrical safety defects. I have attached photographic proof of the main defects. The first three photos show the driver's instrument display screen behind the steering wheel completely blacking out on startup, blinding critical safety gauges like the speedometer. The center screen stays on, but the main cluster is totally dead. Fourth and fifth photos show the driver's seat memory failure. I manually set my lumbar support to a comfortable 3-4-3 setting and save it, but every time the truck sits, the seat completely deflates to a flat zero default on startup. This causes an immediate driving distraction and ergonomic hazard. The factory navigation also randomly shouts driving directions out of nowhere without any driver input. The dealership is currently trying to install a temporary "bypass wire" hack on my factory harness just to see if it fixes the seat memory. However, Ford's internal hotline (SSSC) refuses to authorize repairs for the black screen or phantom navigation until a tech physically catches it glitching on command. Ford’s policy is to return the vehicle unrepaired if it does not fail during active observation. I am requesting NHTSA to investigate Ford's active evasion of safety recall 25V540 (Ford 25S88). The official recall paperwork states the defective supplier software entered production on May 14, 2024. My truck was manufactured in August 2024—squarely within the defective window—yet Ford is using a model-year loophole to exclude 2024 vehicles from the recall population. They are denying owners a permanent factory software remedy and forcing dealers to use unapproved, temporary physical workarounds. The vehicle is at the dealership and available for federal inspection if need be.

The truck had been parked in our driveway for approximately 24 hrs when my wife went to the drivers side door to retrieve something that she had left in the center console. After she retrieved what she was looking for she pushed the door closed and the rear window spontaneously and completely shattered. There had been no prior damage whatsoever. The vehicle was towed to our Ford dealership on March 17th. The service manager at our dealership submitted our warranty claim to Ford and then informed us ~36 hrs later that Ford had not issued any TSBs or SSMs for the 2024 rear window or related parts / functions and therefore would decline to repair the rear window. We have asked them to resubmit the claim because we were not satisfied with Ford declining it. It is now April 2nd and we still have not heard back.

The digital dash cluster will randomly blank out while driving. After it sits for aboutba few hrs parked, it will turn back on just to repeat it down the road again. I tried bring it up with the dealership a few times and I was told they aren't able to replicate the issue and it's within factory spec. This is extremely dangerous since this creates issues of not knowing how fast the vehicle is going, and no indicators of what the truck is doing.

Have had the truck for 11 months (since new) I have never had the issue. The display (for radio, navigation etc.) just started switching to a different screen. I was using the navigation and the screen switched to display radio information without being touched. When I switched to Google Maps from car play. The map just froze up and would not unfreeze until I turned off the truck and restarted. Had I been going somewhere and was depending on the navigation system. I could have been in a situation that could have caused an accident. Ford engineers are saying this is normal!

While I was driving, my instrument panel went dark, as if it were turned off. I could no longer see my odometer. Turning the car off and on did not resolve the issue. After the car was off for a half hour or so, the problem was no longer happening. Problem occurred on March 10, 2026. Only happened once so far. Will be taking to dealer for analysis.

After operating the vehicle normally and backing into a parking space, I stopped the vehicle and selected Park, turned the vehicle off, and exited. Before the driver’s door was closed, the vehicle began to roll forward unexpectedly. I ran back to the vehicle and reentered it to regain control, with the driver’s door still open and the seatbelt not fastened. After stopping the vehicle, I selected Reverse, at which point the vehicle surged backward unexpectedly. The open driver’s door struck another vehicle and the driver, and my vehicle continued backward, colliding with a fence and then a tree. The vehicle did not behave as expected after Park was selected, creating a serious safety risk to myself and others. Several vehicle systems appeared to malfunction or fail during the incident. The specific component or system responsible is not yet known, and the vehicle is currently available for inspection. The incident resulted in property damage and back pain, for which I later sought medical care. The vehicle has been inspected by a collision repair facility and is currently being handled through insurance. The manufacturer has been informed and stated that insurance should make determinations regarding the incident.

I was stopped waiting in line at a security gate. I was approximately 10 feet from the vehicle in front of me. A police officer started to walk between the vehicles. My foot was lightly on the brakes when suddenly the truck started surging forward. I immediately jammed as hard as I could on the brakes but my truck continued to move forward. I was forced to slam the shifter into park. There was a loud grinding noise and it startled the police officer and she jumped out of the way. , my truck stopped just before hitting the vehicle in front of me. My truck has the 10R80 transmission and it has now completely failed at 16000 miles. The vehicle completely locked up but fortunately I was moving under 10 mph because it would have been catastrophic had I been going faster. It became immediately undrivable. The dealership has tried to fix it but as of today after two weeks in their shop, can’t even get it out of park.

The rear glass panel of the panoramic sunroof on my 2024 Ford F-150 (approximately 8,800 miles) suddenly and spontaneously shattered while I was driving. There was a single upward-pointing fracture near the front-center of the panel, and the rest of the glass fragmented outward from that point. There was no impact, no debris, no nearby vehicles, and no physical evidence of anything striking the roof or surrounding areas. No objects were found inside the vehicle. The sunroof is available for inspection upon request. This failure created an immediate safety risk. The shattered panel was directly above my two children seated in the rear, and falling glass fragments posed a significant danger of injury. A sudden overhead glass failure also presents a hazard to other drivers if fragments are expelled from the vehicle. There were no signs or symptoms before the breakage. The Ford dealership inspected the vehicle but did not identify any impact damage and did not confirm a cause. The failure has not been reproduced, but I found multiple similar reports from other Ford owners, suggesting this may be consistent with spontaneous internal stress failure of the tempered glass. Given the complete lack of impact evidence and the serious safety risk to occupants and other motorists, I am reporting this as a panoramic sunroof safety defect.

[XXX]- Vehicle did not start, instrument cluster blacked out, infotainment screen blacked out. disconnected/reconnected battery myself everything worked. [XXX]- Instrument cluster blacked out, disconnected/reconnected battery myself, everything worked, dealership still towed vehicle in to diagnose. Same day dealership said the battery was "a little low" so they put a small charge on it and everything checked out fine. They said when I disconnect/reconnect the battery the codes are reset. So i should hope that the issue does not happen again but if it does, don't disconnect/reconnect the battery. [XXX]- Instrument cluster blacked out, drove straight to dealership where the service writer witnessed the issue and started a service file. Codes were pulled and in just the four days since it was last in the dealership there were multiple codes recorded (appx 40 over the four days). Diagnosis was a bad instrument cluster/computer module that is attached. It was replaced and vehicle returned 04 August 2025. [XXX]- Instrument cluster blacked out, drove straight to the dealership, where Service Writer, Service Manager, and Parts Manager all witnessed the same issue. Started another service file. As of the writing of this information, 08 August 2025, the vehicle is still in the shop. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

While driving there was a loud "boom" noise and the panoramic sunroof rear glass panel exploded. I was not driving under any overpasses, and no objects were kicked up on the roadway in front of me. Pieces of shattered glass fell down onto my two small children in the backseat who thankfully were not cut by the glass. Center section of the glass was blown out, and the surrounding glass was pushed outward indicating that the glass blew out from inside outward. After pulling over I observed two cracks running the length of each side of the glass near the edges, indicating possible stress cracks from expansion of the glass inside of the frame. This is a known issue by Ford Motor Company, with a current class action lawsuit regarding various Ford vehicles. The truck was taken to a dealership who denied a warranty claim, even given the circumstances regarding the incident.

Water leak coming from above head speakers when raining apparently cause by faulty sunroof and/or components of sunroof. Can potentially cause a serious safety issue if water drips into the face/eyes of vehicle operator when driving. Dealer service center unable to reproduce the problem but consistently happens with significant rain. Dealer states a drain was not properly connected and was repaired but leak has not been fixed. Vehicle has been looked at two times by the dealer and they were unable to find the cause of the problem. No warning messages were given from the vehicle.
