On XXX, I took my truck to Wynn Odom Ford, [XXX]. The concern was the wrench light comes on at times. The correction according to the dealer is PO722 pass replaced lead frame to valve body. The total payment I had to pay out of pocket was $1,875.73. In XXX I received a letter from Ford Motor Company Customer Service Division [XXX]. In this letter it read "Safety Recall Notice26S28/NHTSA Recall 26V237. This letter came in XXX and I had already previously had to pay out of pocket ein XXX. I am requesting a refund for the amount of $1,875.73 due to their being a recall on my truck. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

The faulty panoramic sunroof is a known issue by Ford Motor Company. Yet they have done nothing to resolve it. The panoramic sunroof on the 2016 Ford F-150 is known to develop operational and structural problems, including sticking, binding, excessive wind noise, water leaks, and failure of the glass panels or sunroof mechanism to open and close properly. In some cases, the sunroof can become misaligned or the tracks and components can fail, resulting in expensive repairs and potential water intrusion into the vehicle. This recurring issue has been reported by numerous F-150 owners and can significantly affect the vehicle’s reliability, usability, and resale value.

On XXX I lost all brakes in my 2016 Ford F-150 while towing a fishing boat. I had just decended a steep grade on a busy downtown street when I received an alert that I was low on brake fluid. The next pump of the brake went to the floor. I received an audible alarm. Had this occured on the steep grade, this could have been a very serious accident. I understand the loss of brakes was due to failure of the master cylinder just and as described by the open recall on my vehicle. I added a quart of brake fluid to an empty resevoir, tried to pump the brakes up and the fluid vanished. I could not find any evidence of a leak. Clearly the fluid is in the brake booster, which is also replaced under this recall. I had the vehicle delivered to the closest dealership, Pierre Ford of [XXX] on Monday the XXX. The service advisor tod me he would need ot for two days. Four days later, the advisor text me to report that parts are not available, and that he would let me know when they were. I asked him to make sure that a VOR report had been submitted so that my repair repair parts could be expidited by Ford Corporate. He assured me the VOR had been placed. Today, on XXX, I called Customer Care who verified my recall eligability, and also informed me that no VOR had been requested against my VIN. I have found genuine ford parts for the repair of my vehicle in many Ford facilities in the nation. I dont feel that Ford is working very hard to get my only vehicle back on the road INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

I have had issues with my door locks one by one for the last year until now all of them have failed and no longer work. I have mentioned this issue multiple times at Bob Tomes Ford in McKinney Texas the last few times and got prices for the repair but it is a bit pricey. Recently I have just found out that Ford had campaign 20M04 to address these bad door lock actuator latches but the car has to be under 10 years old and under 150,000 miles. This service I am currently at the service department finally mentioned it to me and advised that I am out of the free repair window as I am now just over the 10 years and mileage and it will now be $2,400 dollars to repair this. I never received any kind of mailing announcing this recall campaign or was never told about it the numerous times I have been into the dealer in the past to bring my vehicle in for basic maintenance like I am usually told about other recalls. My very last trip here I was under the covered time period and nothing was said to me after I mentioned the door locks starting to go bad. I feel Ford and this dealership Bob Tomes Ford is deliberatly not telling customers about this so they do not have to repair it until the consumer will have to pay for the fix. This is incredible deceitful on Ford and the dealerships part and I feel that something should be done about this

Our rear view (back up) camera on our 2016 Ford F-150 is not working properly. It gives a distorted image or not image at all or sometimes works. Our truck only has approximately 60,000 and this should not be happening. This is available upon inspection. Matter of fact, Mel Hambelton Ford dealership inspected it and told us "I'm sorry; there is no recall on your VIN #". I do not know how there isn't! My safety concern is that this can work when reverse and go out at any moment and potentially cause a crash. Not to mention, we bought this truck brand new and expect items to last as we take care of our stuff. This has been going on for at least the last 6 months and as I google and do my own review we are NOT the only people having this problem with our rear view cameras on our 2016 Ford F-150. We need a recall. We have a recall on our 2016 Ford Flex rear view camera and that is working just fine. We had no warning lights or messages in our F-150 it just started acting up one day and not working

We received the safety recal 26V237 in May. Today 6/16/26, while driving the vehicle, it began acting like the recal said, however, the truck failed and will not start. My husband went and purchased a battery first because we didn't realize it was the recall at first. We cannot go without the vehicle. We will need to have someone tow the car once there is a repair available, however, in the mean time, we need a loaner/replacement truck. We called the number on the form, but they could not help with a failed vehicle and we called the manufacturer, but there is no button for the vehicle is failed and we need help. It hung up on us because they don't have a fix for the defect, there is nothing on the warning about what to do when the vehicle fails and you don't yet have a fix.

My truck violently downshifted randomly and caused me to lose control for a little bit. I was lucky to narrowly avoid a crash. The truck is showing transmission range sensor codes after the truck downshifts harshly. My local Ford dealer did a diagnosis and confirmed that it has a faulty molded lead frame. However, they are refusing to cover the repair and are saying that I either pay them or stop driving the truck because the lead frame replacement is not explicitly listed as a remedy on the recall even though recall 26S28 lists the lead frame as a cause of the issue and even says that dealers will replace it at no cost if it has already gone bad, which mine has.

Water gets into the truck from the front windshield. The water is leaking or getting into the cab of the truck on the passenger side of the truck. I have talked to an auto windshield replacement company about this issue, and I was told that it is a known issue with the 2016 to 2025 Ford trucks. I was told that the leak is happening because of the body seam sealant from the Ford factory was not properly done. Some of the trucks are showing up with larger than normal gaps in the panels. This has been happening for the life of the vehicle.

While driving, the hill descent fault error would pop up on the instrument panel, the truck would begin to shake, and the gas pedal would no longer work. I would have to pull over, shut the vehicle off for a few minutes and restart it. This happened multiple time while driving on the highway and in town. After sitting in the driveway for while trying to get repairs scheduled, the issue got worse, and I would have to pull over every one to 2 minutes due to this issue occuring.

Ford has known about these 2 issues but refuses to do anything about it one of them they flat failed to mention at to anyone. The climate control seat module burns due to a ground wire. But they have to release the information they on 2014-2019 you can’ use aftermarket thermostat as they’re not calibrated right for the motor and also fit bit differently which causes people to spend so much to fix a cooling problem that doesn’t exist

Vehicle: 2016 Ford F-150, 5.0L V8, 6R80 automatic transmission Mileage at time of failure: Approximately 118,000 miles Approximate date of occurrence: Late 2025 (Late October to Early November) While driving at speeds above approximately 40 mph, the transmission would randomly and unexpectedly downshift, causing a severe and sudden jerking motion accompanied by extremely high engine RPMs. After several seconds, the transmission would violently upshift back into the original gear. Most occurrences involved the transmission downshifting one or two gears; however, on multiple occasions it downshifted from 6th gear directly to 2nd gear while traveling at highway speeds. This caused the rear wheels to momentarily lock up, creating a dangerous loss of traction and loss of vehicle control. These events occurred frequently, including during short trips, and were not related to driver input, braking, or road conditions. During these incidents, the check engine light and wrench warning light would illuminate. Diagnostic trouble code P0720 (Output Shaft Speed Sensor Circuit) was consistently stored. This pointed to a failure within the transmission molded lead frame, which houses the output shaft speed sensor and related circuitry. Due to the severity of the symptoms and the known issues with the Ford 6R80 transmission molded lead frame, I replaced the molded lead frame myself. After replacement, the erratic downshifting, wheel lockup, warning lights, and fault codes were completely resolved. The vehicle has operated normally since the repair. Ford has a documented history of issues related to molded lead frame failures in 6R80 transmissions, including erratic shifting and loss of speed sensor data. This failure presented a significant safety risk, particularly at highway speeds, due to sudden and uncontrollable deceleration and momentary wheel lockup.

Our 2016 Ford F-150 experienced a sudden, forceful, uncommanded lane deviation while traveling at highway speed. Without warning or driver input, the vehicle abruptly jolted into the left lane. The steering was corrected and returned to our lane, but shortly afterward the truck again forcefully veered left. The movement felt comparable to being struck by another vehicle. There was no oncoming traffic at the time; however, had there been oncoming traffic, this would have resulted in a head-on collision. Weather conditions were calm, roads were dry, and visibility was clear. Prior to this incident, the vehicle exhibited no warning signs, including no pulling, steering issues, warning lights, or diagnostic codes. We immediately pulled over and had the vehicle towed to a mechanic who inspected the truck but could not replicate the issue. Although the vehicle was later driven approximately 120 miles home and short distances locally without recurrence, we believe it remains unsafe due to the unpredictable nature of this failure. A vehicle should never abruptly and forcefully change lanes without driver input. We have also experienced ongoing issues with the key becoming stuck in the ignition and intermittent starting problems, raising concerns about potential electrical or mechanical defects. This incident involved two uncommanded lane deviations under normal driving conditions with no identified cause or warnings. Due to the risk of serious injury or fatal collision, this remains an unresolved safety concern requiring investigation. We are requesting that NHTSA review this complaint, evaluate whether similar incidents indicate a pattern or defect involving the steering, transmission, or electronic control systems in the 2016 Ford F-150, and take appropriate action to protect public safety. Once we receive the NHTSA complaint number, we will also be submitting a formal complaint to Ford Motor Company requesting a thorough investigation and resolution.

LaFontaine Ford Birch Run MI falsified recalls on my 2016 f150. They claimed they were done, however i have had several other Ford dealers state that there is missing parts and it was obvious it was not completed. This recall is for my door cables freezing up making it unsafe for me to commute when cold. I have held my door shut all the way to work multiple times because it would not latch. Other ford dealers near me quoted me 2 thousand to fix both front doors. I reached out to Lafontaine myself, they seemed to have wanted to help right away but as soon as they heard more of the story they quickly began to not answer my calls. (Service managers).
