4 out of 5 camper tire failures, 2 were catastrophic failures while moving. DOT code 0923 Brand: Triangle TR653 ST225/75R15 Purchased new on the camper in 2023. Mileage: approx 4005mi Tire pressures: 78 psi TPMS tire temperatures: 84 F and 102 F immediately before failures. Speed: 50 MPH No impact with road hazards, winds were calm, terrain was flat paved road. Failures were on separate axles. The Trailer was weighted on a certified CAT scale and was not overloaded. The remaining tires were replaced out of safety concern after blown tires and camper were inspected by an independent mechanic who found no defects or concerns with the camper but reported the tires "clearly failed from the inside." Camper VIN: [XXX] Trailer type: ZT32QB13 GVWR: 9750 Each axle has a 5000# capacity, Camper weight on the CAT scale was 8400# the same day as the blow out. The first blow out occurred XXX @ 2:41PM while driving 50-55mph on a flat road, I heard a loud explosion, my TPMS alarmed, I immediately slowed, pulled over, and changed the tire. The remainder of the trip was 23 miles; I did not exceed 30 MPH or make aggressive maneuvers. I backed it into the camp site. The second blow out Occurred Sunday XXX @ 12:00 PM. Tire pressures as we departed the campground were 72 cold. My husband was driving; I was following immediately behind him. Doing 45-50 on a flat road after a slight downhill, there was what appeared to be a flashing or vibration from the Drivers front tire, which I was watching to see if it was just road lines, or sun glare, it just didn't look right. There was a sudden explosion again and the drivers front axle tire went flat immediately. My husband immediately slowed, pulled over, and we changed the tire. About a month ago the passenger side rear axle tire had a suspected valve stem failure, the camper had been stationary in our driveway for a couple weeks prior to the flat. LT275/65R20 126/123R M+S Bridgestone Dueler A/T Without warning the tread explosively separated at normal highway speed of 70 MPH while driving straight in the morning with an approximate outdoor temperature 75 degrees or less. The truck immediately and uncontrollably swerved into the left passing lane nearly causing vehicle to turn completely sideways. Gained control of vehicle and pulled to side of the road. The tire tread had separated but the tire still retained air pressure making it possible to slow safely into road curb lane. Extensive truck damage occurred to fender, wheel well internal to engine compartment and the front bumper. Amazing that it ruined the front bumper. The tires were recently rotated and inspected by Discount Tire. There were no warnings, symptoms, messages or indications of any kind that the tire was defective. These tires will be replaced today. Fortunately I was not killed in this extreme failure.

The contact stated that while driving 60 MPH and hauling a trailer, the vehicle jolted into oncoming traffic and started wobbling. The contact regained control of the vehicle and eventually steered to the side of the road and parked the vehicle. The contact became aware of a flat spot on the tire, and the spare tire was placed on the driver’s side front. The contact continued driving, and the wobbling became controllable at speeds under 50 MPH. The vehicle was taken to the residence, where the contact observed that the driver's side front tire had tire separation in the middle of the tire. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The tire failure mileage was 37,000. The vehicle failure mileage was 52,000.

I believe these tires are faulty. Notice the oily/greasy substance a year ago maybe longer. Then recently found that where this oily/greasy substance is at is eating away at the tires. Tire size LT285/75 R18 Component/System Failure: The front suspension and steering damper malfunctioned, leading to the "death wobble." This issue also caused excessive tire wear due to the violent vibrations and instability in the steering system. The components are available for inspection, and the worn tires and replaced parts can be provided if necessary. Safety Risk: The excessive tire wear, combined with the loss of steering control due to the wobble, significantly increased the risk of a blowout or loss of traction. At highway speeds, this made it difficult to control the vehicle, posing a serious risk to myself and others on the road. Problem Reproduced/Confirmed: Yes, the problem, including excessive tire wear and steering instability, was reproduced and confirmed by a Ford dealership service center during their inspection. Vehicle/Component Inspection: The vehicle was inspected by the Ford dealership, where they identified the steering and suspension issues that contributed to the wobble and tire wear. No other entities, such as insurance or police, have inspected the vehicle since no accidents occurred. Warning Lamps/Symptoms: There were no warning lamps or messages before the failure. Good Year Adventure All terrain M&S LT 275/70R18 load range E DOT [XXX] these tires came on my brand new 2022 Ford F250 bought at a Ford dealership in Colorado Springs February 2023 I drove it off the lot with only 67 miles on it. The truck as been driven 99% of time on paved roads with a unpaved county road here an there. The problem I am having is with all four mounted tires on the truck I noticed at approximately 9,000 miles the tread was peeling/chunking looking very rough & wearing fast for being so new. On October 16, 2023 took truck into dealer where I bought it at with 9,556 miles after returning from my trip they agreed it was unusual looking passed it off for me to contact Good Year which they looked at and said same but not willing to do full replacement of tires. Ford will not replace tires under warranty because "wear is consistent with driving on gravel or unpaved roads" Is that not what all terrain tires are made for? With me driving so little on unpaved roads I really think there most be a problem with the tire compound in this set of tires. After moving truck parked on concrete there are shreds/little pieces of rubber off of the tires that cannot be normal. The tires were rotated as recommend at the dealership at 5,553 miles. That should not be happening with only 9,628 miles driven on the majority of highway miles with the vehicle only. The tires are original equipment to the Ford F250 purchased in February 2023. The vehicle was taken into the Ford dealership on 18 October 2023 dealers kicked it over to Goodyear manufacture called and had a tire inspection done at a local Goodyear dealer they agreed there was a problem with the tire but are not wanting to fully replace the tires.

LT 275/ 70 R 18. Pieces of the tread are peeling away in chunks. The outer edges of the tread pattern appear to have been cut into and have gaps where rubber is missing. The salesperson at the place of purchase assured me that this is caused by driving on rocks. My 83 yo father has never seen anything like this on any tires. My 50,000 mile tires are down to the wear marks with approximately 22,000 miles. l no longer feel safe in my normal travels with these seemingly defective tires That may fail at any time.

The tire shop replaced both rear tires. The contact stated on 1/15/2022, while her husband was driving 40 MPH and towing the 17-foot RV, the vehicle experienced the vibration again. The driver continued driving to his destination with a faulty front driver’s side tire. The contact stated on 1/17/2022, her husband drove the vehicle to another tire shop and had all the tires inspected. The tire shop replaced both front tires. A dealer was not contacted.
