Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2015-2019 Lincoln MKC, Mustang, F-350 SD, F-250 SD, F-450 SD, 2015-2017 Lincoln Navigator, Expedition, 2015-2018 Edge, Transit Connect, 2016-2019 F-550 SD, Transit, 2017-2019 Econoline, and 2019 Ranger vehicles. The rearview camera may display a distorted, inverted, or blank image when the vehicle is in reverse.

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2017-2018 F-Super Duty F-250, F-350, and F-450 4x4 vehicles. A radial damper inside the driveshaft may move out of position over time, which can cause a driveshaft imbalance and result in a fracture.

Risk: A fractured driveshaft can cause a loss of drive power. Additionally, a vehicle rollaway could occur while parked if the parking brake is not engaged. Either of these scenarios increases the risk of a crash.

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2017-2022 F-250 and F-350 Super Duty vehicles equipped with gasoline engines and aluminum driveshafts. Underbody heat and noise insulators may loosen and contact the aluminum driveshaft, which could damage the driveshaft and cause it to fracture.

Risk: A fractured driveshaft can cause a loss of drive power, or a loss of vehicle control if the driveshaft contacts the ground. Additionally, unintended movement could occur while parked if the parking brake is not engaged. Any of these scenarios can increase the risk of a crash.

Icon Vehicle Dynamics, LLC (Icon) is recalling all 05-UP FSD 2.5 Centerline Stabilizer Kits with part number 65050. The kits were sold as an accessory for certain 2005-2021 Ford F-250 4X4 and F-350 4X4 pickup trucks. The foam ring inside the stabilizer "through shaft" may block the piston ports, possibly causing the steering to lock up.

If a front seat belt pretensioner deploys as the result of a crash, the sparks may ignite materials such as carpeting or insulation within the B-pillar area.

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2017-2019 Super Duty F-250, F-350, and F-450 trucks equipped with an electric tailgate latch release switch mounted in the tailgate handle. Water may enter the electrical wiring system and cause a short circuit, activating the switch and releasing the tailgate latches.

Risk: Unintended tailgate opening may allow unrestrained cargo to fall out of the truck bed and become a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.

Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2015-2019 Ford F-150 and 2017-2019 Ford F-250 Super Duty, F-350 Super Duty, F-450 Super Duty, and F-550 Super Duty pick-up trucks equipped with an engine block heater and previously remedied under recall 18V894. During the previous repair, the block heater cable's splice connector may have been damaged.

Risk: A damaged cable could cause a resistive short, increasing the risk of overheated or melted wiring, increasing the risk of a fire.

FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM

On 5/8/2026 at 1555 hours, while driving at normal freeway speed under normal driving conditions, vehicle began an exhaust system regeneration cycle. During the course of the region cycle, vehicle began to smoke excessively and realizing this wan not normal, I was able to yield to the right shoulder of the roadway. Almost immediately the vehicle ignited on fire and completely burned to the ground. The fire appeared to have commenced in the engine compartment, driver side near the firewall. The location of which appears to be consistent with reports of fuel filter failures I have read about in the past. The resulting fire ignited nearby brush which burned several hundred feet of brush and resulted in the spillage of diesel fuel and coolant which combined from the resulting melting of the coolant system and fuel tank and lines. This incident put both me and surrounding communities at risk, particularly from the resulting fire and HAZMAT spill. The vehicle was in good running condition prior to this incident. The incident was investigated by the Templeton California Highway Patrol.

ENGINE

The contact owned a 2017 Ford F-250. The contact stated while driving 22 MPH and attempting to depress the brake pedal, the brake pedal was firm and difficult to depress. The brake pedal was depressed with both feet and the vehicle started slowing down. There was no warning light illuminated. After coming to a complete stop, the contact saw smoke coming from the grill underneath the windshield wipers and the lower windshield. The contact exited the vehicle and there was fire coming from the engine compartment and entering the cabin of the vehicle. The contact exited the vehicle, ran to the neighbor’s house and grabbed the garden hose and started spraying water on the hood; however, smoke and the fire increased and the fire was too hot for the house to put out the flames. The contact called 9-1-1 for assistance and the Fire Department arrived on the scene and extinguished the Fire. The Police showed up on scene to direct traffic. There was no injuries sustained. A Police Report was filed, but the report number was not provided. The vehicle was towed to the residence. The vehicle was destroyed. The manufacturer was informed of the failure and opened a case and provided the contact with the case number. The failure mileage was approximately 190,000.

Park Rapids, MN Crash

POWER TRAIN

Vehicle was parked on a hill. At the time the vehicle was pulling a light weight trailer (empty). The vehicle was in park when the engine was shutoff. Owner went inside the house, came back out 5 minutes later to find the vehicle had rolled unattended backwards causing the trailer to jack knife. The result was damage to the truck and trailer. This was very lucky considering another vehicle could have come over the hill and hit the truck and trailer and people could have been injured. This is the third instance of this truck rolling unattended. I have contacted Ford, written complaints. A recall was released that fixes a known transmission issue with near VIN numbers but it does not effect this vehicle. Please help.

Emergency responders, including Cal-Fire and CHP, arrived on the scene. The truck was towed by Cal-State Towing Service in Huron, CA. The Fire Captain on site provided an incident card, but the full fire report is expected to take at least a week to obtain. There were no prior indications of mechanical issues before this incident, and no recent repairs or modifications to the fuel system or engine. However, I recently became aware of an ongoing NHTSA investigation into fuel leaks and fire risks in Ford Super Duty trucks equipped with the 6.7L diesel engine (TFL Truck Report). The investigation highlights a potential issue with fractures in the secondary fuel filter housing, which could lead to fuel leaks and fire hazards. Given that my truck displayed a Low Fuel Pressure warning immediately before catching fire, I strongly suspect this failure may be related to the issue under investigation. The truck is currently in tow yard storage and is available for inspection upon request. This incident posed a serious safety risk to myself, my father and others on the roadway, and I believe it warrants further examination by NHTSA. I am reporting a serious safety issue involving my 2017 Ford F-250 diesel truck. While towing a 34-foot fifth wheel trailer and traveling from [XXX] to [XXX] , the vehicle experienced a sudden and dangerous failure near [XXX] . The engine warning light appeared, the vehicle went into low power mode, and then completely shut down on the highway. This created a serious safety hazard, particularly while towing a large trailer at highway speeds. The vehicle was towed to a repair facility where it was determined that the high-pressure fuel pump had catastrophically failed. The pump had developed a significant crack and released metal debris throughout the entire fuel system. This required extensive repairs, including: - Replacement of the high-pressure fuel pump - Replacement of fuel lines - Full fuel system cleaning, including the fuel tank The total repair cost exceeded $14,000 USD (near $20,000 CAD). The mechanic indicated that this type of failure should not occur under normal operating conditions. Additionally, the Ford parts dealer advised that the failed fuel pump could be returned for credit, suggesting the failure may not be consistent with normal wear and tear. This failure occurred suddenly, without warning, and resulted in a complete loss of power while driving, which I believe represents a significant safety concern. I respectfully request that NHTSA investigate this issue as a potential safety-related defect involving high-pressure fuel pumps in diesel vehicles. This past year I experienced catastrophic failure with my Bosch, CP4 fuel pump in my 2017 Ford F250 with a 6.7 L diesel. Recalls have been published by Ford, but not beyond a 2018 vehicle. After seeing metal fragments in my fuel water separator, I was forced to flush my entire fuel system, replace the CP4 fuel pump with a CDR high pressure pump (replacement), flush the entire fuel rail system and replace my fuel injectors. This repair cost me approximately $13,000. I find it difficult to understand why my 2017 vehicle was not included in the recall when it had the defective item as the later models had. The truck has 129,000 miles on it currently. Certainly, these are not excessive miles given the year of the vehicle. I would like to know what can be done for older models(the Bosch CP4 fuel pump goes all the way back to 2011). Thank you for your consideration and attention to this

2 different issues- 1st issue was Ford factory fuel filter leaked at a seam. Resulting in fuel loss all over engine! 2nd issue is fuel filter inlet line retaining clip comes unclipped on its own resulting in fuel loss all over the engine. Both incidents happened during long distance travel which also resulted in several gallons of fuel drenching whole undercarriage of vehicle.

We get a power reduced code and the truck shuts down while driving. We have to pull over and put it in park and restart it. When we are on the freeway we can’t get over we put it in neutral and turn off the truck and restart it. It is very scary and dangerous! This has been happening since June of 2025.

This issue with the truck has been going on since last year can be driving down the highway at a speed of 55 to 70 mph depending on the speed limit and the truck will start jerking and bucking to the point where it will almost sling you through the windshield and the reduced engine power will come on and you have no power at all taking it to the Ford dealership to get the powertrain control module reprogrammed I was informed that would fix the issue it did not there was a recall on the cp4 high pressure fuel pump that was manufactured by Bosch i have one of those fuel pumps in the ford company said 2017 f250 super duty diesel wasn't apart of the recall why did they all of a sudden do a recall to have the power train control module programmed on my 2017 Ford f250 super duty diesel that is the same thing that is called for in the recall of the high pressure cp4 fuel pump on other models this is becoming an issue because i have the exact same fuel pump made by Bosch and the same symptoms are happening as to the recall of the fuel pump in other year models I took my truck to the dealership to have it reprogrammed and it is still doing the same thing the day that I took it over there and they do nothing about it this could cause someone's life to be on the line when driving this particular year make and model and they do not want to recognize that it's coming from the cp4 high pressure fuel pump

2017 F250 99k miles . got off the interstate and went to turn and the steering wheel immediately came loose. I had to press down while turning. I brought it to a repair shop and it was stated that it looked as if was glued and the locknut was never tightened . This could have been catastrophic. I didn't bring it to the dealer because it would take three days to look at it.

2017 Ford F250 issue is with the steering damper and the reported "death wobble" caused by the faulty part. In 2019, on several occasions driving on the highway I experienced uncontrollable shaking in the front end. Each time, I had to slow my speed down to under 10 MPH for the wobble to stop. When I took the vehicle to Ford dealer, they knew what the issue was and told me to properly fix the issue I needed to purchase and Aftermarket part, that Ford did not have the proper part to fix this. This comment was straight from the Ford Service Tech. I paid for the fix and up to 2025 the problem was gone. Starting in November 2025 the same issue is back. Each time of the problem, either my wife or I were traveling on a highway, traveling between 65 - 75 MPH. It takes both hands firmly holding the wheel simply to hang on until the truck can be slowed to, again, under 10 MPH. This puts us in a bad situation when on the major highways around the Ft. Worth Texas area. This time the Ford dealer charged ~$600 to fix the steering and re-align the front end. And once again, the Ford Service Tech said this is only a temporary fix and we would be back!! This has been a well known and documented issue with these trucks but Ford has refused to issue a total recall. I guess in this day it takes "confirmed body counts" before recalls actually happen. Why does it take the loss of life for this to happen? Ford should be proactive and fix the issue before deaths occur...but this would be expensive and bottom line financial statements to share with Wall Street take precedence over peoples lives.

While driving 70mph on I20 outside of Ft.Worth, TX. I experienced severe front end vibration after hitting a rough spot on the highway. I was in the inside lane with no shoulder to escape off the highway. Cars were traveling on the outside lane next to me which prohibited my escape to the shoulder of the highway. The vibration did not stop until I slowed down to around 40mph and was able to maneuver to the shoulder of the highway after traffic passed me. The violent vibration causing lack of control until my speed slowed below highway speed and unable to exist the roadway out of busy traffic put myself and others in grave danger. This occurred 2 other times within a 2 week span while traveling at highway speed. This violent vibration (well known on the internet as the death wobble) first appeared in the same vehicle in 2019 and it was serviced on 10-25-2019 and supposedly fixed. Mileage on the F250 was 19,155. The service technician told me then that it needed a dual steering stabilizer but the Ford Company will not recognize the needed fix. This is a defect that the Ford Motor Company is very aware of, yet neglects to make a permanent repair. They are knowingly putting their customers in danger.

Vehicle was parked on a hill. At the time the vehicle was pulling a light weight trailer (empty). The vehicle was in park when the engine was shutoff. Owner went inside the house, came back out 5 minutes later to find the vehicle had rolled unattended backwards causing the trailer to jack knife. The result was damage to the truck and trailer. This was very lucky considering another vehicle could have come over the hill and hit the truck and trailer and people could have been injured. This is the third instance of this truck rolling unattended. I have contacted Ford, written complaints. A recall was released that fixes a known transmission issue with near VIN numbers but it does not effect this vehicle. Please help.

The steering wheel shook aggressively, making it difficult to maneuver the vehicle. The contact decelerated and was able to coast to the emergency lane on the side of the road to get off the interstate. The contact continued to drive the vehicle to the residence but did not exceed 15 MPH. The dealer was contacted by phone and referred the contact to the manufacturer for assistance. The contact had scheduled an appointment with a certified mechanic. The vehicle was not yet diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and provided the contact information to the dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000.

On [XXX], I went to start my 2017 Ford F-250 Super Duty (6.2L) and found that it would crank but not start. On [XXX], I had the truck towed to a local certified repair shop. They diagnosed that the fuel pump control module overheated and melted into the fuse box, causing extensive electrical damage and frying the main wire harness that connects to the fuse box. This is not something that should happen on a well-maintained vehicle with only 75,688 miles. I paid $2,600 for repairs out of pocket. The shop also informed me that this type of electrical failure could have easily caused a fire, especially since the truck was parked in my garage at the time of failure. This appears to be a serious electrical defect and a potential fire hazard. I’m requesting that Ford and NHTSA investigate this issue for possible recall or safety action.
