The rear camera intermittently fails or displays a distorted image. I reported the issue to our local Ford dealership in April/May 2022, but at that time the necessary replacement parts were not available or in service. This was probably related to the various Covid 19 pandemic parts supply issues. Yesterday, while the car was being backed out of our garage, a young child was playing in the driveway directly in the vehicle’s rear blind spot. As usual, the camera was not functioning. Fortunately, an adult supervising the child noticed the situation and intervened, preventing what could have been a terrible tragedy. We have seen news reports about recalls addressing rear camera issues in many Ford vehicles—yet not for our 2015 Ford Fusion. How many serious incidents must occur before Ford takes action to correct this problem?

Internal transmission bearing know for the TSB 19-2391. There was no threat to my safety or others. Yes the problem has been confirm with the dealer. The components has been inspected by an authorized Ford Dealer, Shaker Ford in Watertown, CT. There were nothing other than a humming noise coming from the transmission.

Rear view camera is not functioning. The screen goes black or a message is show to contact dealership. No sensors work nor a view of what is behind me. There are times I almost hit people or other vehicles. There are recalls for other vehicles but not my vehicle. There was no inspection but dealership will not fix it. My rear reverse camera has not been working properly. Sometimes the screen is completely black, sometimes the screen has lines in it , sometimes the camera acts like it is moving. It is very disturbing and dangerous. This is not weather related because it happens when it's sunny or raining. I can go a couple of days with out any issues and then randomly it has these issues. Back up camera screen glitches and goes black when backing up. I have to pull forward and try reversing again to get the camera to work. When backing out of my driveway it’s an inconvenience but backing out of a parking space is a much bigger issue. Half way out of the space it will glitch distorting the picture or goes black with no picture.

The problem is the rear backup camera and I know Ford has recently issued recalls for certain models due to the camera being broken. The problem is that this is a 2015 model fusion and is being excluded from that recall but is having the exact same problems stated. It includes the camera not working, black lines appearing across the screen, or just flickering on and off. I think Ford should expand their rear camera problem to more years because it doesn’t stop at 2016 models.

My rear view camera has not worked properly for almost two years now, and has progressively gotten worse over that time period. It will just go out when I’m in the middle of backing out of my driveway or a parking lot. It’s out more than it is on, and has almost caused a serious accident recently in a parking lot. It is an accident waiting to happen. It’s my understanding that this is a serious Ford issue. They have yet to acknowledge it though for my model. I’ve contacted Ford and the dealer to no avail.

My rear backup camera has been malfunctioning for several months now. When it decides to work at all, it flips the image from left to right and vice versa. Other times the backup camera doesn’t even work. And sometimes it has yellowish lines going through the images which distorts other cars behind me even more. Ford needs to fix this at no cost to me. There’s a recall on their other backup cameras in other Ford models. Not sure why the 2015 ford fusion wasn’t included in this recall because it’s doing the same thing - flipping the images, which makes it confusing when I’m backing up my car.

While driving car it begins to shaking and unable to accelerate than cuts off, will sometimes restart and can drive but does the same thing again, during this process a wrench symbol and check engine light come on. Had spark plugs replaced the first time, still was doing it. Also the throttle body removed and cleaned continued, so replaced throttle completely it’s been 2 days no issue so far, but the car belongs to my daughter and it happened while she was driving car was purchased used a year ago, this is the first time we had this issue not sure if previous owners experienced same issues.

When starting the car this morning, I noticed that the steering wheel was driving kind of stiff and the car was kind of losing control while I was accelerating down the street. A while later in the day, my wrench light came on and then turned off, but a couple of months later a warning light came on saying Hillside assist not available, and then another warning light popped up after that one saying Service advance trac. So I turned the car off and attempted to restart it and the lights stayed on.

My backup camera has started to glitch like the other 2015 fords that are in recall. Check engine light, Code P0303. #3 cylinder misfire. Coolant leaking into cylinders 2 & 3 due to faulty casting of the short block. This was a known defect of 2015 Ford Fusion 1.5 liter EcoBoost engine by Ford Motor Co. No recall was issued. I was not notified of this defect until it happened. Ford covered repairs for some vehicles but not mine stating I was not within the required timeframe. I had to pay $7200.00 to repair this problem. I only had 80,000 miles on the car. I feel a recall should have been issued on all these cars since Ford knew about the defect. Please look into this and require Ford to issue a recall. Thank you.
