No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, no cause for the failure was found. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. I am writing to report a recurring issue with my 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid. The interior rear-view mirror has detached multiple times from the windshield under normal conditions and adjustments. I have been driving for over 30 years and have never had a windshield. Have a crack in it and now with this car. In less than two years, I have about six cracks in my windshield, which i've had to repair. I have also had serious problem with the car.Automatically braking with adaptive cruise control where there's no one in front of me, but the car just breaks for no reason.

At around 3,500 miles, I noticed that the driver's side mirror would vibrate at highway speeds. I took the car to the dealership today, but they were unable to reproduce the issue. They explained that they couldn't drive the vehicle on the highway due to safety concerns. Additionally, the vehicle hasn't been inspected by anyone other than the dealership, and there were no warning messages on the dashboard. At times, the mirror vibrates severely, making objects in the mirror appear blurry, which could pose a potential hazard.

I drove my car on 2/27/24 and my windshield was normal. The car sat idle outside for a few days. I got into my car on March 1, and there was an 8" hairline crack emanating from the edge of the windshield on the passenger side. The crack looks identical to the pictures in Honda service bulletin 20-118 dealing with stress fractures.

Only four months of owning a 2023 Accord Hybrid EX-L the drivers side mirror with BSI-blind spot information, no longer is viewable at highway speeds. The dealership is aware but they say there is nothing they can do about this. I was told by the dealer that this particular drivers side mirror is on a very long back order across the country. I was told some mirrors were replaced but the same issue is occurring. Everyone is waiting on Honda to come up with a solution. It’s a dangerous situation while attempting to change lanes on the highway and not be able to view out the drivers side!

The backup camera installed on 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid EXL is of poor quality at night. When backing up at night backup camera image is extremely "foggy" and pixelated making it very difficult to see compared with our other vehicles. Nearly ran over family member backing up as I could not make out their image. During daytime / light, camera image is fine.

The contact inspected the windshield from the outside and there was no indentation of the glass around the crack that would indicate an impact on the windshield by road debris or any other hard object. Overnight while parked in the garage, the front windshield became cracked without signs of impact. The next night before I had even had the chance to bring it in for a scheduled inspection at the dealership, the crack spidered out to cover almost 15-20% of the windshield. When I took it into for inspection at the dealership, they also mentioned that it looked like there was no impact and the crack was internal to the glass. They agreed that it looked like the same situation as described in Honda TSB 20-118, but said that it could not be covered because it wasnt in the identified VIN range even though it looked like a similar situation described in the TSB.

Today on May 13th 2023 I was driving on LIE 495 freeway with my wife. All of sudden we heard the explosion and could hear the air noise from the sunroof. We pulled vehicle on the side and found out glass was broken and there wasn’t any rock or any other object which could cause the damage. We think it’s quality of the glass which could not resonate the heat and pressure could have caused.

The rear glass shattered with temperature change and defrost use?. The car was garage kept all winter until the weekend of the issue. It was kept outside overnight on Friday and temperatures were in the 20s. I used my rear defroster for the very first time on Saturday morning and returned home Saturday. On Sunday morning, I closed the door of the car and the rear glass shattered and collapsed. It seems like they may have a batch of badly tempered glass but refuse to acknowledge it. They required me to have the car towed to the dealership. This damages any investigation value and they said it looked like a hammer smashed it in but it didn’t look like that when it was at my home. I had police come and look at it and they did not find any evidence of vandalism. The location of the damage is VERY centered and would be hard to reach and not likely the spot for someone just trying to smash the window.

YOU CAN FIND NUMEROUS INSTANCES ON THE INTERNET OF BASICALLY THE SAME THING HAPPENING TO OTHER ACCORD (AND HYBRIDS) OWNERS. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE BECAUSE IT COULD AFFECT THE SAFETY SYSTEMS MOUNTED IN THE WINDSHIELD. EITHER THE GLASS IS SPECED WRONG OR DEFECTIVE OR THE DESIGN IS TORQUEING THE GLASS MORE THAN ITS DESIGNED TO HANDLE.

I WAS DRIVING AND ENTERING THE FREEWAY WHEN MY CAR MADE A LOUD EXPLODING POP. THERE WERE NO CARS NEXT TO ME AS I WAS ENTERING THE ON-RAMP. THERE WERE NO OVERHEAD BRIDGES OR TREES. NOTHING FELL FROM THE SKY. I STOPPED THE CAR AND FOUND THE SUNROOF SHATTERED WITH A LARGE HOLE. THERE WAS NO DEBRIS INSIDE OTHER THAN GLASS. I BELIEVE THAT THERE IS A DEFECT WITH THE SUNROOF THAT CAUSED IT TO SHATTER. IT SHOULD NOT HAVE SHATTERED THIS MUCH WITH JUST NORMAL USE. THIS OCCURRED ABOUT 5 MINUTES AFTER LEAVING MY INDOOR GARAGE SO THE CAR/SUNROOF WAS NOT OVERHEATED. IF THE INNER COVER WAS OPEN AT THE TIME, THE GLASS WOULD HAVE SHATTERED INTO THE CAR AND CAUSED A SERIOUS ACCIDENT. I HAVE SEEN MULTIPLE REPORTS OF THIS SAME THING HAPPENING AND THIS NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED WITH THE MANUFACTURERS BEFORE SOMEONE IS HURT OR KILLED.
