Water intrusion from front sunroof when vehicle is parked at a 5% grade with the nose downward. Multiple vehicles exhibit this issue. Toyota is not creating any TSB and will mot even remedy it even if we have an extended warranty. Toyota dealerships want me to first pay $1000 in labor to pull down the headliner and test. Then ask the warranty to cover the assembly, if they don't cover it... then I am on the hook for the work. The missing seam sealer is a common issue that will not manifest inside the 3yr / 36k mile warranty. My issue started around 2020 that I noticed and every dealership would not help me other than place a large burden on me. This can impact the electrical and the airbag curtains. The issue needs to have a seal sealer added to the sunroof assembly as the fix. As a family vehicle, this is a dangerous issue for multiple occupants in a single 7 or 8 person hauler minivan. Please ask Toyota remedy this issue that has been going on for over a decade. Please ask them to stop forcing customers to have sunroofs and panoroofs... when they can't build it correctly. While driving the vehicle at the rate of 55-60 mph, the vehicle came to a complete/instant stop without warning — potential causing harm or even death to the occupants of the associated vehicle, and it adversely affected my ability to safely control the vehicle. Also, as the incident was occurring, my drivers seatbelt became very, very tight. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? No. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No, but this is the second occurrence of this same incident within the past 30 days.

After a rain, water will leak into the driver and front passenger seatbelt coil housing. The front passenger seatbelt was not used in some time and mold developed with green and black stains all along the seatbelt. After it rained, the driver side seatbelt released about 1 cup of water when I pulled the seatbelt. With my wife as the passenger, she was conflicted about wearing the seatbelt while having mold pressed against her body, clothes, and breathing it in. The smell of mold is now present in the vehicle. This problem has been reproduced via online reports at SiennaChat.com. No warning lamps, messages or symptoms appeared prior, or during, this issue. I am in the process of reporting it to Toyota as soon as the next business day (Monday).

2nd row passenger side seat belt receptacle is not latching seat belt. The contact stated that a replacement part was ordered but not needed. It was discovered that the original part had debris inside and was cleaned out. The original part started working again and a repair was no longer needed.

Driver's side seat belt buckle stopped locking in seat belt. Buckle unit then came apart. I called toyota; was informed that there was a recall on this matter. I was told that I was 2 years past the scope of the recall. I informed them I never received a notice of recall so how would I be aware of problem until it occurred. Spoke to supervisor was told I was no longer covered under recall. Went to 2 mechanics and was unable to obtain needed part. I feel that for this safety item there should be no time limit on a recall and I felt Toyotas help in remeding the situation was poor especially as they tout their vehicles safety.

A few days ago the seat belt sensor would continue to beep and blink even after the seat belt was fastened. Then, on Friday, December 24th, 2021, a piece popped out of the seat belt latching mechanism on the driver's seat. Now it is difficult to get the seat belt to latch, and I am unsure that the latch would hold if the vehicle was in an accident that could cause serious injury to the driver. This is available to be inspected upon request. I haven't taken this to be looked at yet, but would like to know if this is something that I would have to pay for or if the manufacturer would cover the cost of this repair.

One day when we tried to buckle the driver's side seat belt, little pieces flew out of the receiver side and it will no longer buckle. We took it to the Toyota dealer in N Syracuse NY and were told it would be a cost of $212 to replace and that it would be a two-week wait for the part to come in. This means that the owner and her two young babies would have to drive in an unsafe car, ILLEGALLY for two weeks putting her life and the life of her children in danger. The Toyota dealer inspected the seat belt and confirmed it was a defect and had failed. I called Toyota customer service and was told that there were no recalls for this defect and they would take no responsibility for the dangerous situation or consequences because the car was no longer under warranty. In fact, this is a problem that has been affecting many owners as indicated by an online search. Also, the fact that the dealer has to wait two weeks to obtain the part indicates that this seatbelt has failed many owners and they have used up the supply. This should be a recall situation but Toyota will take no responsibility.

IT IS NOW FULLY EXTENDED AND UNABLE TO RETRACT. I MADE AN APPOINTMENT TWO WEEKS IN ADVANCE WITH A TOYOTA DEALERSHIP (80 MILES AWAY) TO FIX IT BUT, BECAUSE OF A MISCOMMUNICATION, THEY WERE PREOCCUPIED WITH REPAIRING FOUR RECALL ISSUES AND NEGLECTED TO ADDRESS THE SEAT BELT PROBLEM. INSTEAD, THEY GAVE ME AN ESTIMATE OF $335 TO REPLACE IT. THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT, DATED JAN 7, 2016, WAS SENT TO OWNERS OF 2004-2006 TOYOTA SIENNAS. APPARENTLY THE FORMER VEHICLE OWNER DID NOT FOLLOW THROUGH. I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE FROM A MAUI DEALERSHIP IN OCTOBER OF 2018. "WARRANTY ENHANCEMENT PROGRAM ' ZF2 2004 ' 2006 MODEL YEAR SIENNA VEHICLES EXTENSION OF WARRANTY COVERAGE FOR FRONT SEATBELT ASSEMBLIES TOYOTA HAS RECEIVED A NUMBER OF REPORTS REGARDING FRONT SEATBELTS IN CERTAIN 2004 ' 2006 MODEL YEAR SIENNA VEHICLES. IN THESE REPORTS, CUSTOMERS HAVE INDICATED THAT THE FRONT SEATBELTS (RIGHT AND/OR LEFT) MAY SLOWLY OR NON-SMOOTHLY RETRACT. ALTHOUGH THE FRONT SEATBELT ASSEMBLY IS COVERED BY TOYOTA'S NEW VEHICLE LIMITED WARRANTY FOR 5 YEARS OR 60,000 MILES (WHICHEVER COMES FIRST), WE AT TOYOTA CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMERS' OWNERSHIP EXPERIENCE.
