Ive been waiting for years for the previous recalls I have been informed about to get fixed. Feul system,brake lights.Was told by Toyota that someone would call me to come to get them taken care of. In the meantime, constantly checking that my brake lights are working before departing on any excursions in truck & patiently waiting for toyota to reach out when they were gonna fix the first 2 recalls that I was notified about. I can't recall the date exactly, but I was driving on the highway w/ my still backward carseat, facing 2y.o. baby safely strapped in,ThankGod.As accelerating into my lane, heard huge BOOM like an IED. Immediately, the check engine light among others came on.Truck immediately lost power & was violently shaking.Felt it in the steering wheel, but largely in engine compartment.@this time,I tried to get over to shoulder to a safe place.I turned the car off.Let it rest checked on my infant in back made sure he was ok. After letting car rest, turn back on to my surprise All lights were off.I was w/in few miles of home so went directly back, never getting to my intended destination. Shortly before driveway, all lights came back on & multiple service messages.Since then the truck has not been driveable,As we have specifically looked up recalls,thusly Nov.recall matched lights on the dash for the specific make,year, model of truck. From my understanding, it says that there is no remedy for such recall. But that is untrue. The remedy is an entirely new engine. They just haven't rolled out the recall info to everyone applicable. I am unable to work. My home is without a vehicle and this is unacceptable.Along w/ safety risk to me and infant. I'm sure Toyota doesn't want to admit or remedy Because that is very costly. But this was a mistake made by the company. And it should be remedied, because our family is suffering in various ways. Lost revenue. Inability to respond if emergency etc.I need a new engine.& in the interim,I need a car supplied while fixed.

As many have spoken about already, I have the hesitation or lag from stop or rolling at very slow speeds. I kind of learned to live with it but feel it's getting worse. My wife had to drive the truck, and she said it was very scary and did not feel safe. I know it is not the engine as I had it replaced and problem is still very much there! There have been so many issues with this truck. Brakes have never stopped squeaking; one dealership guy told me it is the cheap pads Toyota put on them.

The dealership and Toyota Engagement Center refused to service the 2 recalls that was critical for the truck since October 2025. It was supposed to be including frame replacement and other parts but Toyota Engagement decided to active buy back option and took advantage of low offer to solve the matter which I don't accept.

Toyota Tundra 2025 Limited stalled at highway speeds. The vehicle flashed "Parking Brake Support" message, but dealer says it has to do with an engine failure. Vehicle came to a grinding stop and would only advance in short spurts before dying on the side of the road. I was in the left lane of a major highway during rush hour. Luckily, traffic was behind me, and I was able to limp to the shoulder before traffic arrived. I noticed nothing prior. A loose gas cap may have prompted the system to send failure message. I haven't heard yet why it stalled. But my safety was definitely put at risk, and I was lucky to not be rearended

2024 Toyota Tundra Magnolia, TX

While traveling on US Highway 95 between Lewiston and Riggins, Idaho, a 2024 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro with approximately 18,000 miles experienced a sudden loss of engine power while descending a mountain grade with multiple curves. The driver reported hearing abnormal engine noises immediately before the loss of power. At the same time, the brake pedal became extremely hard to depress and the vehicle did not decelerate as expected, requiring substantially increased braking effort. The vehicle was carrying family members and was traveling on a winding downhill section of highway adjacent to steep terrain. Due to the loss of power and increased braking effort, the occupants feared the vehicle would be unable to stop safely. Fortunately, a roadside pullout area was available, and the driver was able to steer the vehicle into the pullout and bring it to a stop without a collision. The vehicle was towed to an authorized Toyota dealership for inspection. The dealership diagnosed the vehicle with a catastrophic engine failure requiring engine replacement. The failed engine remains in the possession of the dealership and should be available for inspection. Approximately five days before this incident, the vehicle had undergone routine maintenance, including an oil change and inspection at a Toyota dealership. The vehicle had also previously been presented for brake pulsation concerns and other drivability-related complaints. The vehicle was returned to service and represented as operating normally. No collision occurred and no physical injuries were reported; however, the incident created a significant safety risk because the loss of engine power occurred while descending a mountain highway and the driver experienced substantially increased braking effort while attempting to stop the vehicle.

[XXX], [XXX] PM. 2024 Toyota Tundra Hybrid (i-FORCE MAX, V35A engine), 36k miles, original owner. Clear, dry pavement, evening daylight. Exiting [XXX] westbound at [XXX] , I merged into the far right lane at the second light for a right turn. A vehicle was stopped ahead at the light. Traveling 15-20 mph, I applied the brake for controlled deceleration. Right foot squarely on brake, not touching accelerator. Vehicle did not decelerate as expected. For 3-4 seconds the brake felt unresponsive — pedal felt soft and loose, lacking normal firmness. I pressed the brake fully to the floor. A dashboard warning appeared: “gas and brake pedals are being pressed simultaneously.” I was not, and had not been, touching the accelerator. I then heard engine RPM increase audibly, consistent with an acceleration command, while my foot remained fully on the brake. I felt forward thrust working against my braking. The warning cleared and brakes engaged. Vehicle stopped approximately half a car length from the vehicle ahead, narrowly avoiding rear-end collision. Automatic Emergency Braking did NOT engage despite conditions clearly meeting its criteria — stationary vehicle directly ahead, my vehicle approaching at 15-20 mph with no observable deceleration for 3-4 seconds. No collision warning sounded; no auto-braking intervened. Notably, this same AEB has previously engaged falsely in benign situations (e.g., backing near low vegetation), suggesting reliability/calibration issues. Prior manufacturer notice: On [XXX] at 15,412 miles, I reported to Camelback Toyota, Phoenix (RO #[XXX], on file): “vehicle lurches forward going from reverse to drive (now more consistent)” — dispositioned by tech 10210 as “vehicle is operating to spec,” no diagnosis performed. Same RO documented “rattling in neutral/at stop” — dispositioned “unable to duplicate.” Toyota was on notice of throttle-response symptoms 21 months before this safety event. In the 2024 tundra if there is a camera misalignment for the 360 degree cameras or reverse cameras. It sets off a code that makes the trailer brake say disconnected even when connected. I took the vehicle in and had the cameras recalibrated then the brake worked. On my last trip pulling a 4,000 lb trailer the cameras came out of alignment so my trailer brake stoped working mid trip. This is a safety issue that can cause a accident.

2024 Toyota Tundra North Canton, OH

Parked on incline. Vehicle off. Vehicle automatically locked doors without operator intervention. Returned to vehicle. Vehicle beeped with associated lights flash when operator touched driver's extenal door handle. IMMEDIATELY the vehicle began rolling backwards downhill towards oncoming traffic. I was able to hop on running board, jump into driver's seat, press brake and start vehicle. The brakes engaged and the vehicle stopped before hitting oncoming traffic. Dealer found CODE P15AD87. Battery State Sensor (#28850-F4010) was replaced. Vehicle currently has 2,000 miles since repair on 01/23/26 without reoccurrence.

While driving approximately 10–15 mph approaching a green light, a truck in front of me suddenly slammed on its brakes. As soon as I saw the brake lights I immediately applied my brakes before any system alert activated. I stopped within approximately 3–5 feet of the vehicle in front of me. At the same time, a truck behind me was approaching quickly. To avoid being rear-ended I pressed the accelerator to move out of the way. However my vehicle would not respond. Despite pressing the gas pedal the truck remained in a braking or non-responsive state and would not accelerate. I attempted to switch between the brake and gas pedal but the vehicle still would not move. This condition lasted approximately 30–60 seconds leaving me stopped in active traffic and unable to take evasive action. This created a serious safety hazard as I was at high risk of being rear-ended due to the vehicle’s failure to respond to acceleration input. The delay was critical and could have resulted in a collision. There were no warning lights or messages prior to or during the incident. The issue occurred suddenly without any indication. This appears to be related to the Pre-Collision System (PCS) and/or the vehicle’s throttle/acceleration system. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. The malfunctioning part is the front left brake pads. The faulty brakes pads could pose a problem when stopping the vehicle. This problem was brought to the attention to my dealer in November 2025. The vehicle was inspected by the dealer in the spring of 2026 and acknowledged Toyota Corporate in 2026. There were no indications of problems when the vehicle was sold to me in August 2025. However, there was knowledge by Toyota of a problem with the brakes. See Toyota Technical Service Bulletin #s XXX May 6, 2024, & February 10, 2025. My case numbers with Toyota Corporate include #XXX, #XXX, #XXX. There are many videos on YouTube with the same problems as mine. There seems to be no interest by Toyota or my dealership to remedy the problem. I paid a lot of money for this vehicle and pay a sizable monthly note to listen to squealing brakes and wondering if they may fail. 2024 Toyota Tundra 4X4 SR5 CrewMax 6.5, VIN: [XXX] , 28,500 miles. Three distinct, worsening vibration issues affecting separate systems: 1 — Powertrain/Driveline: Significant vibration on initial acceleration, under tow load, and on inclines. Suspected driveshaft carrier bearing, U-joint, or engine main bearing failure. Recall 25V-767 (V35A engine bearing debris, 2022–2024 Tundra) — VIN recall status to be confirmed at [XXX] . Component available for inspection. 2 — Highway vibration 40–70 mph: Constant speed-dependent vibration in steering wheel, seat, and floor. Worsening and expanding in speed range over time. Impairs steering feedback — direct safety hazard at highway speed. Suspected wheel bearing or hub failure. No warning lamps present at any time. 3 — Braking: Violent vibration during heavy deceleration, downhill braking, and rapid stops. Severely impairs controlled stopping and risks loss of vehicle control. Consistent with rotor degradation per Toyota TSB (Nov. 2025, 2022–2026 Tundra). Repair history: OEM tires replaced at 20,000 miles — abnormal camber-induced outside shoulder wear. Toyota issued a Limited Service Campaign for this identical defect on 2022–2023 models but explicitly excluded 2024. All 4 tires replaced twice. Multiple alignments, balancings, and rotations performed at L&S Toyota, Beckley, WV (3+ dealer visits) and an independent tire chain (3+ visits). No resolution. Defect is mechanical, not tire-related. No DTCs or warning lights at any visit. Safety risk: Braking vibration risks loss of control on downgrades and emergency stops. Highway vibration impairs steering feedback over extended driving. Towing vibration creates trailer instability on public roads. Requesting NHTSA investigate and include 2024 Tundra in the existing Limited Service Campaign covering this known defect on prior model years. The Anti-Collision System / Automatic Braking System engages, even when turned off. This is a major safety hazard and nearly got me into an accident. With the ACS disengaged, poking the front end of the vehicle out into oncoming traffic while trying to merge, the vehicle locks up completely, disabling the vehicle, rendering it a sitting duck in oncoming traffic.

The contact owns a 2024 Toyota Tundra. The contact stated that while driving approximately 70 MPH on the highway, the vehicle lost automotive power and decelerated unintendedly. The vehicle failed to accelerate. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, and the spark plugs were replaced, the brake lines were flushed, and the oil filter was replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The engine lost complete power. This is a 2024 Toyota Tundra I=Max Force Hybrid. The low Oil Pressure, Hybrid Malfunction, Check Engine lights all came on. i lost all power, steering, brakes, and had no Hybrid assist. I was nearly hit from the back. I was able to get help from people to push it out the highway. There was no warning prior to this happening. I have read about all the engine problems from the 22 and 23 year models and recalls are out. There are no recalls for the Hybrid 2024 engines, but this looks the same as what i am reading.

2023 Toyota Tundra Cumberland, RI

My Tundra has been having lagged throttle after takeoff for a few months now going into 2026. My truck is slightly over 50k Miles and did well for the first 40k Miles. Last week it went limp and gave a loss of Power Warning and Check engine light came on. Then the very next day a parking brake assist warning came on. I brought it to the dealer and after 4 days they couldn't replicate the warning light but seen that the Turbo had failure. They said they could not change the Turbo since theres an active Engine recall on my truck. My truck is sitting at the dealer with no committed date or fix for when my engine will be replaced. Not sure what to even do as im paying on a truck i cant even drive. Aside from this major issue ive had two window motors replaced and a non working hamstring leg rest motor. They instead offered to sell me a new 2026 which felt sleazy on their part. I will not be staying with my 2023 Tundra if and when i get it back knowing we only get a 1 year warranty and crate engines are already failing. Toyota is treating their faithful clients horribly on this issue they caused. Id go as far as saying this should be part of the Lemon Law act and more needs to be done.
