My car is a 2019 not 2020 and white not gray. The gas gauge doesn’t read pressure and drops by 1/4 up or down. I don’t have all the features which were supposed to be on the car. The rear door doesn’t close. I have ice inside my front windshield in the winter. I took the car back immediately. They refused to change the vehicle to the gray trax within the 48 hours. They sold me the car in the dark. The brand new tires skidded on wet pavement, and suction cups for placing a windshield appear in the ice on the inside of the front windshield. The car is dangerous. Continental. All foot tires just replaced. Service Safety Restraint System warning light keeps coming on. I have taken it to Classic Chevrolet in Oklahoma City 6 times now for the same issue. I have opened a case with GM(XXX). I have been told that GM engineers have been on the phone with the dealership to get this repaired yet it is back in the shop at the dealership again. It has been explained to me that this warning light indicates that the air bags may not work if an accident occurs or the airbags may just deploy as I am driving down the road. That is the safety issue I am reporting. If even the GM engineers cannot fix this problem then I would say that it is a serious problem putting many people at risk. I wanted this in writing. This safety issue needs to be looked into and a recall needs to occur as I am sure I am not the only GM customer driving an unsafe 2026 Chevrolet Trax. NHTSA complaint #11744667 — an unverified report by a vehicle owner.
I was driving at about 10 mph in a suburban Buffalo retail parking lot when I was T-boned by a driver coming at me perpendicular at a much higher rate of speed who hit me squarely on the driver's side front and rear door. Airbags did not deploy. Yes, my safety was put at risk. I was injured. The problem has not been reproduced or confirmed by dealer or anyone else. Noone has inspected the vehicle yet. There were no warning signs prior to the accident.
NHTSA complaint #11744059 — an unverified report by a vehicle owner.
Had a bumper to bumper collision that was caused by me, the cars computer sent a report to OnStar and OnStar said that they had airbag deployment alert going off in the car. However, the airbags never deployed.
NHTSA complaint #11736058 — an unverified report by a vehicle owner.
I was in an accident and the seatbelt pretensioners activated but my airbags did not deploy. When i got my vehicle inspected the shop noticed my airbag system needed to be replaced saying the airbag diagnostic module, right & left front air bag impact sensors needed to be replaced. The impact of my vehicle was very minor and could not have damaged the airbag diagnostic module internally. I do believe this was a preexisting issue and it has just now been noticed when my car had to be thoroughly inspected.

On October 8, 2025 My cousin, [XXX] , and I were on highway Mile 113, 65 North and were about to exit when an ambulance exited onto the highway ahead causing the traffic to suddenly stop. As the traffic stopped, I hit my brake, which usually jolts when I hit it but it didn't this time, the brake didn't feel the same, the brake was soft and it felt like my car wasn't stopping. The warning red light that usually goes off didn't and I hit a Jeep at a speed of about 55 to 60 mph yet none of my airbags diployed. We smelled fire and saw some smoke come in from the vents but couldn't see over the hood that had been bent up, both of our seatbealts had been stretched out so that when we took them off, we could not put them back on, and the adjuster I had on my seatbealt to keep it off my shoulder completely broke off. I pull over as far as I could safely since I couldn't see. The driver of the Jeep got out of her car and inspected it, she came back to the passenger side of my car and said that she was in a rental, there was no damage and couldn't afford to turn in accident in so she had to leave, and left the scene. Both my cousin and I were feeling pain in our chest so when 1st responder came, he called for an ambulance. My car was towed and we were both taken to Eskenazi ER where my cousin was treated and released the same day. I was admitted into the hospital ICU and had emergency cervical fusion spinal cord surgery on October 9, 2025 and wasn't released until October 17, 2025 with ongoing treatment for therapy and loss of mobility of my right arm which is due to nerve damage and abdomen bruising, I am still recovering and have ongoing treatments for my spine. I noticed the alarm didn't sound when it should have times before but since nothing was said about any problem when I took my car in for service in September, I didn't think that there would be an issue like this. A police report was made but I do not have a copy yet. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Ran into a cemex block with no light pole. The parking lot was dark and cemex block was not marked. Forward collision detection system did not work and airbag ejected some shrapnel cutting my arm and shatter ing my bone in forearm and wrist. I’m lucky it did not hit me in the head or I would be dead today. By the grace of god I’m still alive Amen !

Was making right hand turn which causes vehicle to straddle shoulder for a brief period of time because of how lines are painted. Auto steering resisted the manual steering to get into the lane properly and pulled vehicle onto shoulder further which lead vehicle to be pulled into the ditch.

The air bag light randomly came on about two yeatago and never went off. The engine(turbo) has been having problems for two years now. I’ve been to the dealership several times over the year. I was almost hit by another vehicle because of slow take off

My 2020 Chevy Trax did not deploy the air bags, at all, when hit cement wall head on. The impact to my chest area caused a wire from a chest surgery to snap, and is now dangling inside the middle of my chest, near my heart. I have the pictures & the witness was a Sheriff. It make no sense that none of the air bags deployed. NONE. I want to report it as will be pursuing, and to make sure others know that this is an issue that can cause bodily harm and there are no recalls on these cars. That's scary. No idea now what I must go thru due to this injury which never should've happened.
NHTSA complaint #11625553 — an unverified report by a vehicle owner.
The contact owned a 2017 Chevrolet Trax. The contact stated while driving at approximately 25 MPH; she T-boned with another vehicle (Ford F-150) however, the air bags did not deploy. No warning light had illuminated. During the impact, the contact's face hit the dashboard and she sustained a brain bleed, missing teeth, and a concussion that required medical attention. No police department arrived at the scene due to a high volume of crashed therefore no police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a tow lot by the insurance provider. The vehicle was diagnosed that the crash did not meet the criteria for deployment. The vehicle was deemed totaled. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 90,000.
