I own the car and have had it for 3 years well maintenance but I notice when I pump gas it doesn’t want to go water leak in the the car when it rain and the fuel g lm from the gas tank leaks and you can smell gas strongly

On May 2, 2026, ten days after purchasing the vehicle, the driver‑side seatbelt locking mechanism failed while I was driving. The vehicle was inspected the next day at CarMax Tuscaloosa. Their mechanic confirmed two separate safety defects: 1. The driver‑side seatbelt mechanism requires replacement. 2. The motor mounts are broken/loose and require replacement. The mechanic explained that debris was found inside the seatbelt mechanism, and the seatbelt needed full replacement. He also confirmed that the motor mounts were broken/loose, which can cause excessive engine movement, vibration, loss of power, or engine shifting during braking or acceleration. These conditions increase the risk of stalling or sudden shutdown, which is consistent with what occurred during my incident. The failed components are: • The driver‑side seatbelt locking mechanism • The motor mounts/engine mounting system Both components remain on the vehicle. The seatbelt failure left me unrestrained while driving. The vehicle then shifted into Park and shut off in the middle of traffic, creating a risk of being struck by other vehicles or losing control. The broken motor mounts increase the risk of engine movement, stalling, or shutdown while driving, which could lead to loss of steering control or sudden deceleration in traffic. Yes. A CarMax mechanic at the Tuscaloosa, AL location confirmed both defects: As mentioned above The vehicle was inspected by CarMax Tuscaloosa. Jaguar Birmingham declined inspection because they do not service Jaguars older than 2018. An independent Jaguar specialist declined inspection due to prior non‑payment issues with CarMax. No manufacturer, police, or insurance inspection has occurred. There were no warning lamps or messages prior to the failure. The seatbelt malfunction occurred suddenly. The engine shutdown occurred immediately after the seatbelt unlatched while braking. The vehicle remains unsafe to drive due to the unreliable seatbelt, broken motor mounts.

The contact owns a 2013 Jaguar XF. The contact stated while driving approximately 40 MPH, the vehicle was losing motive power. The contact stated that the drive(D) started flashing RED on the console by the shift selector and on the instrument cluster. The contact stated that the check engine warning light was also flashing. The contact pulled over, and stopped the vehicle, but had not turned the engine off. The contact shifted to park(P) and then shifted back to drive(D) and was able to resume normal driving. The contact stated that the failure had reoccurred. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or independent mechanic to be diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

After acclerating twice to avoid an accident. The car had a check enine light appear. No other warnings, not even high temperature. the car engine stopped and I pulled over off the highway.White smoke appearing under the hood. My mechanic does a pressure check and determines it is not repairable. He suggsts a new engine, My 2016 Jaguar XFS at 70k miles needs the engine replaced.

ENGINE
The car employs a start/stop system to shut the engine when stopped. When it restarts the engine, the idle speed drops to about 400 RPM (half normal idle) and surges when it recovers. It has also stalled several times. I've asked the dealership to fix this, but when at the dealer, the system would not shut the engine so they have not verified the issue. The first safety issue happens if the driver is not expecting the surge resulting in sudden acceleration. The second issue happened when the car stalled at an intersection with other cars trying to get by. This has happened many times since I purchased the car in 2015. The stop/start function stopped working for a period of time when the primary battery was older and weak. Since replacing the batter, this is happening more frequently now. I was driving at a high speed. 65 mph and went to accelerate to pass another vehicle and when I pushed the gas there was no power, the steering wheel locked up and I went off the side of the barley missing the ditch and then stopped. The i tried to restart it and the check engine light came of and after a couple attempts I had to have it towed to Jaguar of tacoma. My car is a 2024 with only 46000 miles on it. This shouldn’t be happening. I have to other vehicle to drive. I commute for work so I need a reliable car, which I did my research and thought this was one.

I took my car for the 35000 mile service and I am needing to replace the lower coolant outlet Y pipe, which has been recalled on Jaguars the same year and manufacturing plant as mine. The part nu,nets are the same ones on the recall. Also the brake axle.? Which I think there may have been a recall. I do t know if you have had any other complaints on this matter, but I feel Jaguar should acknowledge it may have more cars that are defective and fix them.

My vehicle has about 68k miles, I have always serviced the vehicle properly. While driving the car my steering locked up and my vehicle lost all power on a busy road with my children in the car. Luckily we are safe but this is very dangerous. I have had the car inspected by several certified and insured mechanics and the engine pulley broke off of my engine block causing my entire engine and steering to shut down. Every mechanic says this is not normal and should not have happened at this mileage or without a huge impact and they all agree it is a safety hazard especially since the car gave no waring of engine needing to be serviced.
