THE KEY FOB GETS STUCK IN THE IGNITION WHEN THE VEHICLE IS TURNED OFF AND PUT IN PARK. IF YOU SHAKE THE SHIFTER WHEN IT'S IN PARK WITH YOUR FOOT ON THE BRAKE AND THE KEY TURNED TO AS FAR AS IT WILL GO BEFORE TURNING THE CAR ON IT WILL USUALLY COME OUT AFTER A FEW ATTEMPTS AND CYCLES OF THIS PROCESS. YESTERDAY, FOR THE FIRST TIME, IT WAS LOCKED IN THE IGNITION AND WOULDN'T TURN THE VEHICLE ON. I DON'T KNOW THAT THIS SENSOR ISSUE IS RELATED, BUT THE TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR IS ALWAYS ON EVEN WHEN THE TIRE PRESSURE IS FILLED TO RECOMMENDED LEVELS.

NHTSA complaint #11349793 — an unverified report by a vehicle owner.
AUTOMATIC SHUT OFF WAS ENGAGED AT A RED LIGHT. RED LIGHT TURNED GREEN IN WHICH I PUT MY FOOT ON GAS TO ACCELERATE. VEHICLE WOULD NOT MOVE AND MESSAGE APPEARED ON DASH TO 'SHIFT VEHICLE INTO PARK'. I SHIFTED THE VEHICLE INTO PARK WHEN THE VEHICLE BECAME LOCKED IN PARK AND WOULD NOT SHIFT GEARS. ENGINE COMPLETELY SHUT OFF AND WOULD NOT RE START, LEAVING MY STRANDED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. AFTER SITTING IN THE ROAD FOR ABOUT 15 MINUTES AND MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS TO RE START, THE VEHICLE FINALLY RE STARTED. I TOOK THE VEHICLE INTO THE SHOP TO GET LOOKED AT, NO CODES ARE SHOWING ON THE COMPUTER AND ISSUE COULD NOT BE RE DUPLICATED. I HAVE SEEN SIMILAR ISSUES HAVE BEEN HAPPENING TO OTHERS. I CALLED JEEP CORPORATE WHERE THE GENTLEMAN TOLD ME TO 'RECORD EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENS NEXT TIME AS IT'S HAPPENING'. THAT'S A WONDERFUL SUGGESTION AND ALL BY MY BIGGEST CONCERN WHEN THIS HAPPENS IS TO GET OUT OF THE ROAD AND NOT VIDEO WHAT IS HAPPENING, TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I AM SCARED TO DRIVE THIS VEHICLE FOR FEAR OF IT HAPPENING AGAIN AND POTENTIALLY CAUSING AN ACCIDENT.
