2019 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque Franklin, WI

UNKNOWN OR OTHER

Backup camera became inoperable after a car wash and water leaked into the electrical components. This is already a current issue and many models have been recalled, but my year, 2019 has not been included. I can no longer view anything while backing up the video and the dash continues to flash Camera System Default. Please consider adding 2019 Evoques to the existing recall.

2016 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque Aubrey, TX Fire

UNKNOWN OR OTHER

My son’s 2016 Range Rover Evogue (SE Premium Sport Utility 4D) caught fire while driving yesterday (6/22). The car was in great shape and had not had any auto work done recently. The vehicle experienced a loud pop while driving, immediately lost electrical power, steering assist, and brake assist, and then caught fire in the engine compartment. The car was a total loss. I do not see any recalls but would like this investigated in case this leads to a recall. I have asked my insurance company not to salvage the car in case investigations or reports are needed to determine the cause.

Back up camera started getting a fog on it and stopped working. I believe water has seeped into the back up camera. My VIN is not included in recall list and dealerships offer no help. I would have to cover complete cost. This is a safety issue and should be covered

In march 2036 my car just completely stopped in 5pm traffic and I was almost hit over a dozen times car wouldn’t albe to be moved because it completed died out. When I took it to JLR had to have it towed twice . They said it was the battery and that it needed to be calibrated, sent me home and same day car stalled again in a busy traffic, this time they said it was my alternator and that my own system was shorted out, and they had to replace the alternator. Wants to charge me $4k , then I get a call saying it’s the DC Dc Converter and it’s shorted out my electric system and alternator! Don’t know I’what to believe ! Before my car died it first said charging. Battery low and died out while I was getting Dutch bros but started up right away, two days later I got the warning lights all flashing and then died completely

2017 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque Chicago, IL

UNKNOWN OR OTHER

I am the owner of a 2017 Range Rover Evoque (VIN: [XXX] ) purchased from Star Auto Works in March 2025 with approximately 56,000 miles. Within months of purchase, the vehicle suffered a catastrophic turbocharger failure, a critical powertrain component that renders the vehicle unreliable and potentially unsafe to operate. A turbocharger is engineered to last significantly longer than the mileage at failure. This type of premature breakdown strongly indicates a manufacturing defect rather than normal wear. As such, the circumstances raise substantial concerns regarding: Breach of the Implied Warranty of Merchantability — The vehicle was not reasonably fit for its ordinary purpose at the time of sale. Breach of Manufacturer Warranty Obligations — A failure of this magnitude warrants immediate manufacturer participation. Sale of a Vehicle Containing a Likely Pre-Existing Defect — The timing of the failure supports the conclusion that the condition existed prior to my purchase. I have made good-faith efforts to resolve this matter cooperatively. However, the financial burden of a major engine repair resulting from a premature failure is not one I am willing to absorb. 2019 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque Saint Cloud, FL

While driving my 2019 Range Rover Evoque on the highway on [XXX], the headliner on my vehicle just suddenly collapsed, hitting me in the head while driving and blocking my view of my rear windshield and rear view mirror and startling me almost causing a serious accident at 70 miles per hour. Something like this should not happen on a car that is just a few years old and has less than 30k miles on it. The adhesive in the headliner just simply failed and the whole thing collapsed. I called my Land Rover Dealership and they just stated that the warranty expired 2 years ago and nothing they can do. So then I called Land Rover corporate at 1800-637-6837 option 9 and they told me they can't help either unless I take it to dealership and spend $300 to get a diagnostic report from them. Then they may or may not assist me. I brought to their attention that the model year 2020 Range Rover Evoque has 2 current recalls for the same issue, Failing headliner and headliner built missing materials and since the body on the 2019 and 2020 are exactly the same the recall should cover this as well, but they refuse and say it goes by year and VIN and 2019 is not covered under the recall. The recalls in mention are: Recall N412 (19V-840) and Recall N454. These need to be expanded to cover 2019 or a new recall needs to be added, because the issue of a suddenly collapsing headliner while driving is a serious and potentially fatal matter. Not sure how you can help but something needs to be done because this is a danger to life and property. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

2020 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque San Diego, CA

I am filing this complaint for a serious drivability and safety issue with my 2020 Range Rover Evoque (VIN: [XXX] ). For over two years, this vehicle has exhibited a violent jerking motion when accelerating from a stop. It happens intermittently but is becoming progressively worse. Despite multiple dealership visits, warranty repairs, and part replacements (including the driveshaft and oil separator). Most recently, on [XXX], my wife was nearly involved in a rear-end collision when the vehicle lurched forward at a green light despite gentle pressure on the accelerator. On [XXX], I experienced the same event, though luckily there was no car in front. These events are frightening and dangerous. We no longer feel safe driving this vehicle. I have attached a detailed document (submitted to Land Rover) summarizing our full service history, dealership findings, and recent near-accident experiences. I believe this is a systemic drivability defect that warrants NHTSA review and investigation. Please contact me if additional documentation or testimony is needed. 2020 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque Elizabeth, NJ

I am submitting this complaint to report a significant windshield defect in my 2020 Range Rover Evoque. The issue involves water ingress due to improper windshield bonding, which leads to leaks into the passenger compartment and excessive wind noise. This is a known issue with Land Rover vehicles, as evidenced by Service Action N221, which acknowledges similar problems in prior model years, including other Range Rover Evoque and Land Rover Discovery vehicles. Despite the fact that Land Rover has documented and repaired this issue in other vehicles, Land Rover North America has denied responsibility for the defect in my vehicle. They agreed to cover the diagnostic inspection but refused to repair the defect under warranty or as a goodwill repair. Safety Concerns:     •    Structural Integrity Risk: A poorly bonded windshield compromises the vehicle’s structural integrity in the event of a crash.     •    Driver Visibility: Water leaks can cause fogging on the windshield, obstructing the driver’s view.     •    Electrical Damage: Water ingress can lead to electrical malfunctions, potentially impacting vehicle safety systems.

Several time While driving on the interstate my vehicle loses power and low coolant light came on then went off. Light constantly does that even though there is plenty of coolant in the tank. One day [XXX} when trying to pick up speed, I was going 60 and my car went completely limp then picked back up causing me to panic as I had truckers on the highway as I was trying to merge. I pulled over to the side of the interstate hit my emergency flashers, turned the car off and started again to continue on my trip when I started driving again I had my car start overheating and was slowing down not able to get over something popped and smoke started coming out from under the hood a belt had busted causing fluids to go everywhere. Had my car towed to dealership in Hilton head island where they replaced my belt and battery said everything was fine and good to go. Car continues to have same problem and can’t get dealership to fix it as appointments are 2 months out. Took it to a mechanic who said I clearly have slash marks and burns on hoses and one of the water lines that is aluminum or metal had a whole that has turned into a bigger one which should have been caught when belt busted. Range Rover said they inspected my car but upon looking at the receipt I’m showing no driving inspection done only a visual which things were missed INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6

2020 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque Delaware, OH

My vehicle only has 37,000 miles on it. It had defective arms, which have needed replaced, as well as a defective seal along the windshield, causing it to leak, and now, after constant error messages as to the coolant, it was discovered that there is a leak coming from the secondary water pump at the flange where the hose is connected. This can cause engine failure otherwise and is a terrible safety hazard. Unfortunately, it's just outside of warranty, requiring an additional $1,500+ for the leak repair and parts replacement.
