The worst model year for it is 2008.
The Vehicle has developed this problem: the passenger-side door will not lock or unlock using either the key fob or the interior power-lock switch and has to be operated manually. Because the same failure has occurred on two consecutive model years, I am concerned this may be a recurring door-lock actuator defect rather than normal wear. I have a case number open with the Nissan Consumer Affairs. The case number is XXX. I also own a 2018 Nissan Rogue SV; the VIN number is [XXX], with the same exact problem. The case number for the 2018 Nissan Rogue is 56992161 INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Driver side rear door lock electrical actuator will not lock or unlock the door. Door has to be manually unlocked. In the event of an emergency, it will delay the egress of a passenger in the rear seat. The issue would make it near impossible to unlock the door in an emergency especially if it were submerged in water. This is a safety issue and has occurred on a number of these Nissan vehicles.
