NHTSA complaint #11757069 — an unverified report by a vehicle owner.
1 Unknown. I suspect a malfunction involving the electronic gear-selection/shift-control system or transmission control system. I personally placed the vehicle in Park while the engine was running. After I exited the vehicle and was away from it, the vehicle moved on its own. When I returned after hearing the impact, the gear selector was no longer in Park and was in another position. The vehicle and relevant electronic systems are available for inspection. 2 The vehicle was parked on a steep hill. I had personally placed the vehicle in Park and exited it with my daughter. While I was inside my home, the vehicle moved without my knowledge or intentional input and struck my garage. The vehicle was running and was my spouse was still in the car when the movement occurred. The unexpected movement created a risk of the vehicle striking a person, entering a roadway, or causing a more serious crash or injury. 3 No. The incident has not yet been independently reproduced or confirmed. The vehicle needs to be inspected to determine why it moved after I placed it in Park. 4 No not yet 5 No known warning lamps, messages, or symptoms occurred before the incident. The vehicle appeared to be operating normally. I had no warning that it would leave Park or move

The entire dashboard goes blank. No radio, no camera's no telepone connection etc.. 2024 Nissan Rogue SL. After driving a few miles the dashboard info center turns back on. This has happened at least 3 times. I was curious because 655K Camrys are being recalled for the same problem. Most likely the same software is used in both automobiles.

The contact owns a 2023 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while driving 20 MPH, the collision mitigation braking system erroneously engaged and the vehicle failed to accelerate while depressing the accelerator pedal. Upon returning to normal operation, the vehicle was pulled over to the side of the road and was then driven as needed. The contact stated that the failure had occurred on several occasions. The dealer was contacted, and an appointment was scheduled for a diagnostic test; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 7,000.
NHTSA complaint #11751476 — an unverified report by a vehicle owner.
The contact owns a 2017 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle experienced phantom braking. The "Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) Malfunction" message was displayed, and the brake warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 52,000.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
Engine loss of power, exhaust producing white/gray smoke from tail pipe. Was stopped at stop light, pressed accelerator when light turned green. As I proceeded through the busy intersection, without warning, the engine lost power. As traffic was speeding up I was decelerating in front of a large tractor-trailer that nearly rear-ended me. Have not taken SUV to dealership or service center yet. No inspection has been completed. No warning, messages, or other symptoms appeared prior to the failure. The ADAS would shut off by itself.

NHTSA 22V-024, R21B90 Original case #11722884 Dealership, Stelly Nissan of Yorktown Heights, lied about the recall eligibility of my vehicle on March 5th, 2026. When I researched my own service records, 2014 Nissan Rogue VIN is actively included in Recall 22V-024 for the electrical connector fluid-wicking defect. The franchise dealership misinformed me regarding my vehicle's eligibility and failed to physically perform the mandatory wire harness remedy. They subsequently bypassed federal compliance by illegally marking the safety recall as closed or completed in the system without executing the physical repair. I have the physical invoice dated 11/25/2022, 0.00 parts/labor and visual inspection only, which contradicts what the recall procedure was defined as. Because the dealership skipped this mandatory safety remedy, the unaddressed fluid-wicking defect has now caused severe, cascading electrical system failures across multiple dashboard components. The vehicle remains an active electrical fire hazard as described in the original 22V-024 defect report. I am filing this new complaint specifically to report Dealer Recall Non-Compliance and Enforcement Violation. I request that NHTSA compel the manufacturer to execute the physical recall remedy immediately to mitigate the fire risk. As a matter of course, it is not currently a possibility to work with either the dealership, who has ceased communication with me, or Nissan Consumer Affairs who blatantly ignored that the recall was not performed and cited it as closed, a violation of Federal Law. Vehicle has been at dealership since 3/6/2026 and I have a large collection of supporting evidence that dealership has refused to comply with NYS DMV and NYS AG requests for mediation. Patterns examined at same dealership, case-in-point, suggest that this needs to be examined further and according to the law, not via a private consumer.

My 2018 Nissan Rogue CVT transmission has failed to accelerate on two separate occasions while driving. The vehicle would not respond when I pressed the gas pedal. The car was still running but would not accelerate. The issue resolved on its own both times. I currently have approximately 69,000 miles on the vehicle. I am concerned the transmission will fail completely.

My Nissan rogue is experiencing issues with the throttle body leading it to mal function lights warning see owner manual at 27k miles which also the air mass flow sensor code is coming on P101 at very low mileage. In which those parts are suppose to last for years more mileage I’m concerned for the safety of this vehicle as it’s being very costly and defective and the issues are appearing same symptoms as recalls but the car Vin is not listed this car feels unsafe as it has gone through a few recalls. This car has been inspected by dealership and I was aware of the situation because of them in a diagnostic report.

A warning ⚠️ keep coming up. The only thing I can see according to manual is to take it to a dealership. My blind spot detection is flashing on when nothing is there. When it stops then it's no longer working at all. Every time I go to take it in the dealership is works correctly. My power windows are no longer working as they should either. There is a recall that looks like this same issue on Rogues but my VIN isn't included. When it's diagnosed at auto center nothing comes up even with the ⚠️ showing.

Reverse & Forward collision warning light flashing on the dash at different periods of time, temperature and speed of vehicle. Unknown if warning light is flashing if collision airbags will deploy if in accident. Reported to Four Star Nissan in Denton, TX, service tech advised no issue, could be because I drive on "rural" roads, when though my driving is all highway miles, showed the service techs the display, showed them pictures and videos of the warning light coming and going, and they said there is no error. It does not have a constant display, it comes and goes at different times, speeds, temperatures. First appeared approx. 1 week after I purchased the vehicle on 12/23/2025, light started displaying on 01/04/26 and has continued since.

Constant forward driving aids disabled due to blocked camera. Has been to the dealer on 6/11/25 7/16/25, 8/7/25 and was scheduled to go back tomorrow for the same issue as well as recall repair and oil change. That was cancelled due to the rear window blowing out this morning and having to have it repaired before driving in all the rain we are having. The "Forward Driving Aids disabled due to blocked camera" appears ALOT and i do get out and check the camera and there is nothing.
