Nexen Roadian HTX RH5 LT235/80R17E 120R/117/R At approximately 70 mph, I experienced a severe vibration in the steering wheel. Shortly thereafter, the tread separated from the carcass sending pieces of rubber flying. I was able to pull onto the shoulder and change the tire. These are the OEM tires with about 25000 miles. They have never been under or overinflated and I was not hauling or towing anything.

I have a 2024 Ram 3500 with 9661miles, equipped with Firestone Transforce AT LT285/60R20 Load range E tires. These tires are date coded 3123 which make them just under 3 years old as of this report. All 4 of the tires have developed spider cracking in the valley of the first set of lugs from the outside sidewalls. It is cracked consistently all around the tire(only in this area, no other cracks exist on the tire). This cracking is consistent and present on all four of the tires. The cracks continue to open up and are to the point that I am afraid to drive the truck. I have been to both the selling dealer and 2 separate Firestone Corporate Sponsored Tire stores for inspections. Everyone seems to agree that this should not happen, but no one wants to take responsibility for the warranty to correct this concern. The selling dealer indicates that they are not responsible for the tire warranty and the Firestone Stores and a district represent have communicated to me that, even though that I purchased the truck brand new, I am not the original purchaser of the tires and therefore they are not covered under warranty. Obviously, a finger pointing exercise and choice by each manufacture to place my safety at risk. I have no choice except to purchase new tires so that I can continue to operate my truck safely. I have pictures of the concerns, and the tires will be available for inspection if requested.

Trailer King RST 235/80R16: six of them on a triple axle boat trailer. Was towing a boat and experienced a blowout on the passenger rear trailer tire, of which we did not hit a pothole or strike debris. It bent the boat trailer fender and damaged several components of the trailer. It was identified by Discount Tire that the passenger side lead tire experienced belt separation, which is a manufacturer defect and was most likely the cause of the passenger side rear trailer tire to blow out and cause excessive damage to the trailer. There are numerous other customers of this tire who experienced significant blowouts on their trailer, which poses a safety risk to all who own trailers with these Trailer King RST tires and those who travel the roads with them. The belt separation was confirmed by a third-party tire shop recognized nationally. I submitted a claim for the blown out tire with the company manufacturer, and they claim it was not due to manufacturer defect. Unicorn tire does not accept responsibility for the manufacturer defect, even though it was confirmed by the company discount tire. These trailer tires are unsafe. Bottom line: two of six trailer tires that were two years old and had less than 3000 miles on them experienced belt separation, one of which had a significant blowout that could’ve caused serious accidents. This is not an isolated case as other reviews have shown these tires to be unreliable and unsafe disregard the VIN associated with this complaint as it would not accept my trailer VIN.

The contact was informed that the tires were separating from inside out. The contact stated that the failure mainly occurred while hauling a camper. The manufacturer was contacted and advised the contact to install a gauge on each tire. The contact followed the manufacturer's instructions; however, the failure persisted. The contact filed a refund claim with the manufacturer and was informed that the claim was approved. The manufacturer advised the contact to destroy the tires and to send a picture of the destroyed tires. The contact followed the manufacturer's instructions but was later informed that the pictures were not received. The contact had not received a refund from the manufacturer. The tires were replaced with a different brand tire. The tires were original tires. The tire failure mileage was approximately 14,000. The vehicle mileage was approximately 14,000. I purchased a dodge 3500 truck on October 16th 2024. My truck as of today has 4900 miles on it. It is a one ton dually. I noticed this week two of the rear outside tires have cracks and defective tread. I took it to a tire shop and they confirmed these tires are bad. I tow a 40 foot fifth wheel trailer. If I had had a blowout it could of been a huge problem for myself and those on the road around me. I spoke to the dealership I bought the truck from and they informed me they would have to see the tires and file a report with the manufacture of the tires. I had to buy all 6 new tires because I didn't want to chance a blow out with my trailer on the truck. I googled Nexen tires LT235/80R17 which are my tires. It says these are not rated for a 1 ton dually truck. When used on a dually it says its not the best choice for a 1 ton especially when towing heavy loads. The reason I bought this truck was for the purpose of towing my RV. I made that clear to the sales man at the dealership when I bought this truck. I assumed these tires were rated for this truck. If it's a defect I should be reimbursed from the manufacture for all 6 tires. If it's the dealers fault they should reimburse me. This is definitely a road hazard, a accident waiting to happen.

August 2024, arrived to Discount Tire, Lee Store in Prescott Valley, AZ. Showed salesperson my Ram 3500HD, also reflected on my account with them. Salesperson ordered 122Q instead of 122QE for 1 ton truck. This was intentional as 4 months later (December) brought in for excessive wear, manager on duty declined warranty and tried Toyo who required I go back to dealer placing me into procedural loopholes and denial of service from both. This week noticed drastically worse and demanded reopening of December claim. Same dealer manager on duty did nothing, reached out to Toyo again. At no point did anyone (Toyo, salesperson or Discount Tire Manager) admit the mistake as kept repeating premature disintegration of tread and safety issues. After continuous delays, knowing vehicle is 3500HD and these are not E-10 no viable actions taken to secure my safety. I researched further and found the wrong tires were installed on my vehicle. Tire company knew and withheld this vital piece of information and failed to take action when reported back in December and again in July. Tire on vehicle: Toyo Open Country CT - LT275/70R18 125/122Q. I have the back and forth emails for this month's and December. I've enclosed the one tire (purchased 4).

Nexen Roadian HTX RH5 LT235 / 80 R 17. While driving down interstate and pulling a 21,000 lb GVWR fifth wheel trailer, the truck began vibrate. After stopping it appeared that the front passenger tire was out of round. This was confirmed after jacking up the vehicle. Suspect internal damage to the radials. The tire had a total of 16,600 miles on it. Tire had cold pressure of 80 psi and was just checked 4 days prior to the incident. Luckily, the issue was discovered prior to a catastrophic failure, so no damage or accident occured for this particular failure.

Nexen LT235/80R17 2 blow out's and one tire failure. factory installed tires. I have had 2 blowouts on the right front of my Ram 3500. I had discount tire unmount and re mount my spare on the blown-out tire wheel (for appearance purpose) so my spare is now another brand, the spare Nexen that replaced the blow out also blew out within ~2000 miles. I took the vehicle to Walts Live Oak Ram to inspect the vehicle for a cause of 2 tires blowing in the same position on the vehicle, they also checked the alignment and found nothing. yesterday [XXX] pulling a trailer to Jacksonville I noticed about 50 miles into the trip a slight shudder in the steering wheel and I pressed on. On the return trip the shudder in the steering was substantially profound and the driver side view mirror was bouncing up and down, the passenger side was not, and my hands were getting numb, I slowed to 50 from 70mph and continued, the shuddering eased but was clearly still there. today I took the truck to discount tire Lake city Fla. and asked them to replace the Nexen as I felt it was failing from looking at the tire and running my hand along the tread it didnt feel normal and the tire was hot compared to the passenger side. I asked discount to spin the Nexen on the balancer and they did, it confirmed the tire was failing and was unable to be balanced. the new tire cured the problem. the truck today clocked 37k miles to give you some perspective on mileage and primary use is for towing trailers, 42' 5th wheel, 16' box or flatbed trailer. I live in northern California near San Francisco, and we were traveling from Cottonwood, AZ back to our home. Back in June of 2023 we were traveling near Kingman, AZ and had the front passenger tire explode, almost losing control of the truck and trailer. We were at 19524 miles on the truck. At the time I thought that maybe I had hit something. But two months later I took the trailer to Carson City, NV for work and just before I got into Reno the truck started to shake from side to side in the front and the next day I took it to a tire shop and they told me that the driver’s front tire was getting ready to come apart and I had only put about 800 miles on the truck since the first tire had exploded. This was when I realized the issue was the tires. I immediately had all 6 tires replaced. You can find a lot of bad comments about these tires on-line with comments like what happened to me. I purchased a FACTORY Trailer Tire Pressure Monitoring System for my fifth wheel. Factory TTMS system allows up to 5-6 different trailers per vehicle. TTMS allows owner to enter minimum PSI per trailer. The RAM factory system does not work as advertised. I paired wheel sensors to TTMS in vehicle and set minimum PSI to 100. When I shut vehicle off the preset reverts back to factory 50 PSI. Also TTMS recognizes 3 wheel sensors 50% of the time. The other 50% dashboard shows red lines instead of trailer tire pressure. I brought vehicle to dealership after creating a case file with Ram care #87574156. Case file was created due to numerous complaints of Ram HD forum 2019-2022 model years. Ram care notified dealer that no repair authorized without trailer being present. My Ram dealer parking lot is barely large enough for my Ram 3500. I notified Ram care and dealer that the issue was with vehicle software and not trailer sensors. After weeks of inaction from Ram care I was notified that the dealer must remove aftermarket trailer tire pressure monitoring system at my expense (6 hours labor) and only then could they repair system. I attempted to explain that I paid $500 for the FACTORY system but Nikkita from Ram care would not listen. Ram care has my VIN they easily check my vehicle options but their priority was to close case file and hope I would go away quietly. Ran care repeatedly closed my file claiming they couldnt contact me. All but three of my calls went to voicemail. I called Ram care and left messages on the following dates: 10/31/23 1703 hours, 11/3/23 1427 hours, 11/7 1510 hours, 11/24/23 1115 hours, 11/27/23 1255 hours, 11/29/23 0803, 0839 and 1540 hours, 12/4/23 1232 and 1242 hours. A follow up email was sent on 12/4/23 at 1110 hours stating Ram care was closing my case due to unsuccessful attempts to reach me. At 1258 hours on the same date I received an email stating the dealer must remove my aftermarket TTMS (emails attached)
