I was driving and stopped at the tunnel for traffic. My car shut off and wouldn’t turn back on. It seemed to have overheated. After about ten minutes, it started again. I was told it was told the oil pump controller affecting the stop and go on my car. Priority Hyundaii in [XXX] didn’t didn’t have the part to repair it. Now they are refusing to repair it. Two simultaenous problems happened: 1) loud clunking/thudding during low-speed turn. 2) Clunking/knocking/rattling noise from suspensions when going through uneven grounds. This both things happened before 20,000 miles. Had AWD coupling and rear differential unit replaced under warranty regarding problem 1). Had rear shocks replaced under warranty regarding problem 2). Found there has bben TSB issued related to 2), for older models, TSB 25-SS-004H but not for this year of models. Those two exact problems started again at about 40,000 miles. Had vehicle checked at 50,500 miles recently. Regarding problem 1), the dearship found issue with AWD coupling, stating faulty parts, drive shaft seal was 1/8" off and materials are fused. Replaced AWE coupling, and ECU program update. After program update, I do not see the power distribution monitor anymore from my dash. The program update should turned it off for some reason that I do not know. I have no clue that AWD module is working normal as I cannot see the power distribution action anymore. Regarding problem 2), they replaced both rear shocks again. The problem went away for now. This vehicle has been only 50,000 miles and had 4 major issues (2 times of two major identical issues) that alongside with many owners' compaints, and seems highly related to one of Technical Service Bulletin that was previously issued for older models. I would like to request investigation on these services.

The self leveling shocks have gone bad two times now in a matter of 4 months. The first time we had no major issues but the second time it caused the ABS system to kick in while making a left turn. The dealer said it was caused by the car not sensing the correct posture because of the shocks turning on the ABS system and causing us not to be able to brake for about 10-15 feet. If there was a person or vehicle in the way we would have crashed.

I have a 2020 palisade limited with the self leveling shocks. I have about 78,000 miles on the car. I am on my second set of replacement of the rear shocks. Well, guess what? I’m starting to hear that clunking noise again. I love my palisade but quickly becoming tired of this issue. I relaced the shocks last summer (Aug 2025). So, just less than one year after the replacement the noise is back and the smoothness of driving is gone. Every hole feels extremely rough.

I am writing to formally request reconsideration of Hyundai’s denial of assistance for the transmission failure in my 2021 Hyundai Palisade. I purchased this vehicle with the expectation that Hyundai vehicles are built to provide dependable transportation and that major components such as the transmission would last well beyond the current mileage and age of the vehicle. Unfortunately, I have experienced a significant transmission failure that has resulted in substantial repair costs. I have made every effort to properly maintain this vehicle and have acted responsibly as an owner. Given the relatively recent model year of the vehicle, I believe a transmission failure of this magnitude is unreasonable and may indicate a defect in materials or workmanship. I respectfully request that Hyundai review my case again and consider providing goodwill assistance, cost-sharing, or full coverage of the transmission repair. As a long-time consumer, I am extremely disappointed with the current outcome and hope Hyundai will stand behind its product. I would appreciate a written response explaining the reason for the denial and any options available for further review.

I am reporting a safety-related defect with a 2025 Hyundai Palisade SEL. Within days of purchase (December 14, 2024), I began experiencing abnormal noise and vibration from the rear of the vehicle. The issue consistently occurs at highway speeds (45–55 mph) and over bumps. The problem has been present since the first week of ownership and has worsened over time. Multiple inspections confirmed the issue: •Selling dealership dismissed it as “normal tire noise” without proper diagnosis •Second Hyundai dealership confirmed severe abnormal wear (cupping) on all four tires •Independent inspection (Firestone) confirmed uneven tire wear, alignment out of specification, and ongoing vibration Despite early reporting, Hyundai Motor America has refused to provide a root cause diagnosis or take responsibility. While traveling to Abilene Tx to see my doctor my check engine light came on. I pulled into the Hyundai dealership and ask the service advisor to plug into my vehicle and let me know what was going on. After he talked to his service manager he advised me that they "where to busy" and the earliest they could get me in would be the next Monday. This was Wednesday. My home is 100 miles from Abilene. I asked if he thought it would be alright and he said sure. I barely made it back to Big Spring before it started clinking and cluttering. It sound horrible. My son said it sounded like it through a rod. He checked the oil and said that I had low oil however my low oil light did not come on. I notified the dealership and was advised that I had to have it towed back to the shop in Abilene which I did. After a week passed I was in Abilene and stopped to check on my vehicle. Needless to say my repairs are in excess of 20K. New engine etc. and rear suspension is out also. After researching I have found I'm not the only owner with these problems. There are numerous complaints about these problems with the Palisade. This is a danger to all who own this vehicle. Fires, accidents and no telling what can affect us. All these vehicles need to be recalled because of the engine that was placed in these vehicles. The engine is eating oil fast. My oil changes were on time. Hyundai and the dealership are unwilling to offer any help in repairing my vehicle. The parts on the suspension are sub standard. I can't believe they are called the #1 SUV in America! Buyers need to be aware of the substandard parts and engine. They also need to be aware the Hyundai doesn't stand behind their product or the dealership either for that matter. I shutter to think of who I could've been on the side of the road with a blown on fire engine. I'm thankful I made it home before the vehicle cratered.

2024 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy. Clicking/knocking noise from left rear shock absorber area. Noise occurs when accelerating from a stop as the rear of the vehicle compresses under load, and can be reproduced by pushing the rear of the vehicle up and down. Consistent with known self-leveling rear shock absorber failure documented in TSB 22-22-001H, which has been reported across multiple Palisade model years. 2024 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy. Single loud popping noise from right rear area occurring approximately 10–20 seconds after coming to a complete stop. Noise is consistent and repeatable during normal everyday driving. 2 open recalls on safety with no fix yet. Suspension has messed up, random electrical issues in dash and cruise control.My transmission also stalls at certain times. Dealership replaces struts, states they can’t get the vehicle electrical to act up although I have photos and videos and they can’t get the engine to stall. They can’t fix my seatbelts or the airbag and now a theirs row recall note was sent this week for it. This vechicle is not safe to drive/ride my children in and they can’t fix it.

The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repairs. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, and the seat belt was released, the chime sounded for an extended while, indicating that the seat belt was not fastened. While driving at various speeds, the vehicle bounced like the rear shocks were failing, allowing the passengers to feel any uneven pavement. While accelerating, the vehicle hesitated before accelerating. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, who diagnosed that the rear shocks had failed and needed to be replaced. The shocks were on back order, causing a delay in the repair. The dealer also confirmed that parts for the recall repairs were not available. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 33,311.

2023 HYUNDAI PALISADE VIN [XXX] Vehicle rear shock absorbers failed. Steering and drivability adversely impacted. Many many many complaints online document these defective parts and Hyundai's failure to resolve problems and supply properly functioning parts. Hyundai customer service is useless and claims no information on replacement part availability or time. Now that Hyundai has their newest problem of killing babies in their defective third row seats, I would have thought Hyundai would resolve outstanding issues. NHTSA needs to intervene now. The car started having a sound that sounded like a bowling ball rolling around in the back. I emptied trunk space and had tires checked but there was no issue. I called the dealership and they stated they knew what it was because it was a common problem in the Hyundai Palisade. I made an appointment to come in and have it fixed, along with a safety recall for rear seatbelts. The appointment was made in early January 2026 to bring the car in on 2/2/26. When I arrived they had no record of my appointment and told me I could bring it back another day. I refused because the car has a safety issue as well as sounding like the wheel is coming off. They asked me to leave it and told me it would be a few days because they would need to order parts. The next day I got a call saying the parts for the safety recall were backordered but the suspension repair would be done by 2/5/26. I called on 2/9/26 because I had not gotten any information and they stated the parts for both repairs were backordered. I asked how long and they said 2-4 weeks. It has been 7 weeks and I still have no car. When I call to check (they have never reached out to me for an update unless I call them) I am told parts are still backordered and there is no projected date. I have now made 2 car payments on a car I can't drive. I have no rental vehicle and was not offered one. The dealership seems unconcerned.

At low speed, and today for the first time completed stopped at a stop sign, we here and feel a very loud "thunk" through the steering wheel and coming from under the front end of the vehicle. It's very loud and jerks the steering wheel when it happens, and can be felt through the car seats as well. The whole vehicle seems to shake. This has happened so far approximately ten times, and we are losing confidence in the car's safety. The dealer told us that he had not heard of this problem, but we know that to be untrue, because a simple google search reveals that it is a known issue.
