Because Hyundai has not manufactured or supplied the necessary extension cable connecting the new module to the hitch, the remedy is incomplete, and my factory-purchased towing equipment is now entirely inoperable. The Dealer has stated "CAMPAIGN COMPLETE" and has no plans to get the necessary cable.

The regulator and motors have failed in all four windows. Two have been replaced with "panel assembly" parts - on 03/24/2022 the parts cost $383.09 and on 10/07/2022 the same [XXX] cost $470.16. I have not yet replaced the back two windows which are held in place by tape. INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER

Air Conditioning Unit is not working properly. I am spending over 1500.00 to have the defective unit replaced. I find it unreasonable that I should spend that amount to repair something that the company should include in a recall campaign.

Wireless Apple Carplay disconnects randomly causing loss of onscreen maps and turn by turn directions. Hands free phone calls are also dropped. This creates a very dangerous, not to mention annoying situation when driving in busy traffic and depending on the map guidance. It has caused me to take my attention off the road trying to get the system to reconnect so I do not miss an exit or turn. Many others with the same make/model vehicle are complaining of this same defect on the internet. Today it happened 20-30 times on a 3hr trip. Most times it reconnects on its own after a some time. Sometimes I have to manually hard reboot the infotainment system to get it back. I have been to the dealer and have called Hyundai care. No one seems to know what the issue is. They just kind of give me the runaround. The dealer admitted there is a problem but had no solution. Carplay is supposed to make driving safer by putting your phone GPS etc on the car screen for safe hands free operation. These disconnects are going to get someone killed.

I HAVE A 2016 TUCSON SPORT WITH 62000 MILES ON IT. I'VE BEEN HAVING ISSUES WITH THE AC BLOWING HOT AIR ON AND OFF FOR A FEW MONTHS.. I TOOK IT TO A HYUNDAI DEALERSHIP AND THEY REPLACED A DEFECTIVE COMPRESSOR, THE TORQUE LIMITER HAD INTERNALLY SHEARED DUE TO BINDING. NOW 4.5 MONTHS LATER IT'S BLOWING HOT AIR AGAIN. I'VE ALSO HAD TO HAVE THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM FIXED, THE STEERING COLUMN, HOUSING, AND MDPS MODULE ASSEMBLY REPLACED AS WELL.

DRIVING ON THE EXPRESSWAY, I HEARD AIR COMING THROUGH MY MOONROOF. OPENED SUNSHADE & SUDDENLY, SUNSHADE BUSTS OPEN & I SEE NO GLASS AT ALL. INSTANTLY LOOK IN REARVIEW MIRROR THINKING SUNSHADE FLEW ONTO THE ROAD, BUT SAW NOTHING. THANK GOODNESS B/C THIS SITUATION COULD'VE BEEN SO MUCH WORSE THAN IT ALREADY IS. GO TO DEALERSHIP & WAS TOLD IT'S A RECALL PRODUCT & TOLD ME WHICH REPAIR SHOP TO GO TO. HEARD BACK FROM REPAIR SHOP NEXT DAY (3/29); THEY SAID I'D HAVE TO PAY $180 (PUTTING FABRIC ON SUNSHADE & SERVICE MAINTENANCE). I WAS SHOCKED B/C I WASN'T EXPECTING TO PAY FOR A RECALL PRODUCT. CALL WEBASTO TO SEE IF THEY'LL REIMBURSE ME & THEY SAID THEY ONLY COVER PARTS. THIS SHOULDN'T BE THE CASE; IT'S THEIR BAD PRODUCT & THEY NEED TO DO WHATEVER THEY CAN TO FIX IT. WAS ALSO INFORMED THE PARTS NEEDED TO BE ORDERED. FIND OUT TODAY THAT WEBASTO DIDN'T HAVE A PART & IT WOULDN'T GET TO THE REPAIR COMPANY UNTIL THURS (4/9) OR FRI (4/10) OF THIS WEEK. HAD TO GET A RENTAL CAR B/C I NEEDED TO TAKE CARE OF PERSONAL STUFF & I COULDN'T KEEP INCONVENIENCING FRIENDS. CALLED WEBASTO HOPING THEY COULD AT LEAST REIMBURSE ME FOR A RENTAL CAR (WAIT TIME WAS ON THEM). THEY ALREADY WOULDN'T COVER THE COST FOR THE $180. WELL, THEY TOLD ME THEY WOULDN'T REIMBURSE ME FOR THE RENTAL. CHECKED W/ MY INSURANCE CO. & THEY WOULDN'T EITHER. IT'S GOING ON 10 DAYS NOW W/O MY CAR & I PROBABLY WON'T GET IT BACK UNTIL FRI (4/10) OR MON (4/12), WHICH WOULD PUT ME AT 13-16 DAYS. THIS IS DEFINITELY NOT BEING TAKEN CARE OF IN A TIMELY MANNER. I HOPE YOU UNDERSTAND MY FRUSTRATION. I FEEL LIKE I'M BEING BLAMED SINCE I'M HAVING TO SPEND $380 ALL B/C THE PRODUCT WAS DEFECTED TO BEGIN WITH; NONE OF THIS WAS MY FAULT. I'D BE APPRECIATIVE IF THE COST OF MY RENTAL CAR & REPAIR SHOP FEE BE REIMBURSED TO ME. I DON'T FEEL LIKE THAT'S TOO MUCH TO ASK FOR, AS THIS IS A HUGE INCONVENIENCE.

EQUIPMENT:MECHANICAL:ACCESSORY SCISSOR/SCREW/BOTTLE JACK/LIFT

TODAY, MY 2012 TUCSON NEEDED A TIRE PUT BACK ON, AFTER USING A SPARE. ON ASPHALT, LEVEL GROUND, I USED THE JACK THAT CAME WITH MY VEHICLE ALIGNED AS DIRECTED, AND SLOWLY LIFTED THE CAR, DRIVER FRONT. THE SPARE TIRE CAME OFF EASILY, WITHOUT PROBLEMS. AS I ALIGNED THE TIRE TO PUT ON, THE JACK FAILED, TWISTING OUTWARDS AND COLLAPSING, TWISTING MY RIGHT WRIST BADLY. I HAD A JACK STAND UNDER THE CAR, OR I COULD HAVE BEEN SERIOUSLY HURT. HOWEVER, THE JACK STAND HAD BEEN ALIGNED FOR THE CAR WHEN THE JACK WAS LIFTING IT. BECAUSE THE JACK FAILED IT NO LONGER ALIGNED WITH THE LIFT POINT, AND PUSHED INTO THE SOFT FLOOR PLATE NEXT TO IT. THE FAILURE OF THIS JACK IS COMPLETELY HYUNDAI'S FAULT. I ALSO WORRY THAT OTHER PEOPLE COULD BE HURT BY THESE FAULTY JACKS. I HAVE SEEN OTHER REPORTS MADE ABOUT THIS SAME ISSUE, NOW THAT I HAVE DONE RESEARCH.

EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY

I WAS HAVING MY CAR CLEANED AFTER A WEEK AT THE BEACH AND THE LITTLE PLASTIC CIRCLE THAT HOLD THE FLOOR MATS IN PLACE CAME OFF OF THE FLOOR MAT. NOW WHEN I DRIVE THE FLOOR MAT IS CONSTANTLY RIDING UP ONTO THE GAS PEDAL. I CALLED HYUNDAI AND THEY SAID THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO AND I'D HAVE TO PURCHASE A WHOLE NEW SET OF FLOOR MATS FOR OVER $100. THE CAR WAS JUST OVER A YEAR OLD AT THE TIME.... NOW I HAVE HAD TO TAKE THE FLOOR MAT OUT BECAUSE I AM AFRAID THE GAS PEDAL WILL GET STUCK OR THE FLOOR MAT WILL PREVENT ME FROM USING THE BRAKE PROPERLY.
