The safety defect remains unresolved, and my vehicle has been out of service since March 2026. Despite repeated attempts to obtain repairs, the manufacturer has been unable to provide the necessary replacement parts, leaving the vehicle unusable for an extended period of time. I am increasingly concerned about the severity of the defect and the potential safety risks it presents to vehicle occupants and the public. Based on information available through owner forums, dealer communications, and other reports, it appears that this issue may be affecting a significant number of vehicles and may not be an isolated incident. The ongoing inability to repair affected vehicles due to parts shortages raises additional concerns regarding the scope of the problem and the manufacturer's ability to adequately address the defect. Owners are being left without safe, operable vehicles for months while waiting for a resolution. Given the significant safety implications, the extended period my vehicle has remained out of service, the lack of available repair parts, and the apparent volume of similar complaints, I respectfully request that NHTSA reopen its review and conduct a more comprehensive investigation into this matter. Also additional recall that should be issued to the 2021 model: [XXX] [XXX] [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
NHTSA complaint #11744522 — an unverified report by a vehicle owner.
My 2015 Land Rover Range Rover underwent recall-related suspension repair work at Land Rover Orlando. Shortly after the repair, I began hearing an extremely loud noise from the front of the vehicle. The noise was severe enough that I informed the dealership I was afraid to drive the vehicle. I sent videos of the noise to the dealership. After reviewing the videos, dealership personnel advised that the issue was likely related to the air strut assembly or control arm bushings. The vehicle was later inspected by an independent mechanic. During that inspection, it was discovered that the front brake caliper bracket mounting bolts were not properly secured. On the driver's side, mounting bolts were reportedly missing. On the passenger side, mounting bolts were found extremely loose and could be removed by hand. The mechanic documented the condition with photographs and video evidence. The brake caliper bracket is a critical brake system component, and I believe this condition created a significant safety risk. Had the bracket separated or shifted while driving, it could have resulted in loss of braking performance, vehicle damage, loss of vehicle control, a crash, serious injury, or death. The abnormal noise began shortly after the recall repair. I reported the issue to the dealership at that time. The condition was later confirmed by an independent mechanic. The vehicle is currently undergoing repair. I am submitting this complaint because the condition involved a critical brake component and occurred following recall-related service work.

Per a factory recall — NTSB has ordered the following recall; Manufacturer Recall Number D027 NHTSA Recall Number 25V-514 Recall Status Recall Incomplete, remedy not yet available Summary A concern has been identified on certain 2014 and all 2015 to 2017 ModelYear Range Rover (L405) and Range Rover Sport (L494) vehicles where thefront suspension upper knuckle joint could develop a crack. In extremecases this may lead to detachment of the upper suspension arm. Safety Risk In extreme cases where a crack in the front suspension knuckle has developed, this may lead to detachment of the upper suspension arm, which under extreme avoidance maneuver use conditions may compromise the vehicle's controllability and increase the risk of a crash. This has been identified by independent mechanics as well, as a SEVERE safety concern. When this vehicle was taken to Hennessy Land Rover of north atlanta; they advised me that “they didn’t have parts for the recall”. Although they explained to me if I paid out of pocket for the work they had the parts to do the task. Service advisor is Peter Alvarez. SO THEY DON’T HAVE THE PARTS FOR AN NTSB RECALL? UNLESS I HAVE $6000/$7000 For a recall with a “SEVERE SAFETY RISK”? THIS IS ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE. THESE PEOPLE SELL $120,000 TRUCKS AND THEN REFUSE TO UNDERTAKE GOVERNMENT MANDATED RECALLS. THEIR EXCUSE IS “WE HAVE THE PARTS BUT ONLY IF YOU BUY THEM”. This is totally unacceptable. I have a wife and a small child who ride in this SUV and have owned the car for 7 of its 9 years on the road. Always immaculately maintained If HENNESSY LAND ROVER (NORTH ATLANTA) refuses to perform government mandated recalls they should not be doing business. Especially with “SEVERE SAFETY RISK— I SAT FOR FOUR HOURS FOR THEM TO COME OUT AND TELL ME THIS — this is my sixth Range Rover. If this is not remedied never again. I'd like to report an incidence of manufacturer non-compliance. We've had recall number 25V-514 open since September 30, 2025. The dealership has said that they don't have a part and simply left it at that. I called Land Rover, and they also indicated that they don't have a part. They won't provide any more details. It has now been 176 days since this we received the letter. I'm sure that Land Rover knew about this problem long before the letter was sent. This is a beyond unacceptable timeframe to process this recall. They are putting the lives of consumers at risk. The letter states, "Suspension arm detachment can cause a loss of vehicle handling and control, increasing the risk of a crash." This is a safety issue and they have an obligation to fix it. This is beyond the "reasonable" timeframe to complete a recall.
NHTSA complaint #11727023 — an unverified report by a vehicle owner.
I am filing a complaint regarding an unresolved safety recall on my Land Rover vehicle that has remained unrepaired for over seven (7) months. The recall was issued in or around August 2025. Since that time, I have repeatedly attempted to have the recall repair completed through an authorized dealership, Jaguar Land Rover Buffalo. On March 6, 2026, at approximately 1:25 PM, I contacted the dealership at (716) 831-3100 and spoke with a service representative. I was informed they are still “waiting on instructions from Land Rover” and are unable to perform the recall repair. As of today, more than seven months have passed since the recall notice, and no repair, interim remedy, or timeline has been provided. The dealership has not offered: •A temporary repair or mitigation •A loaner or alternative transportation •Any estimated timeframe for resolution This delay appears unreasonable under federal safety recall requirements and leaves a known safety defect uncorrected.afety Risk: The vehicle continues to be operated with an unresolved safety defect, increasing the risk of malfunction, accident, or injury.

I received a notice regarding NHTSA Recall 25V-514 and despite repeated attempts to get the problem fixed, I have repeatedly been told that no solution is available. I am fearful that a failure of the knuckle joint will cause a severe incident resulting in injury or death.
NHTSA complaint #11724034 — an unverified report by a vehicle owner.
Vehicle: 2021 Range Rover Sport Component: Suspension – Dynamic Response / Active Roll Control System The vehicle experienced a failure of the Dynamic Response / Active Roll Control system, which is a hydraulic suspension stabilization system designed to reduce body roll and maintain vehicle stability during cornering and evasive maneuvers. Inspection by an authorized Land Rover service center confirmed that the failure was caused by severe corrosion and deterioration of the hydraulic lines supplying the Dynamic Response system. The corrosion caused hydraulic fluid leakage and a complete loss of hydraulic pressure, disabling the system. This failure occurred on a 2021 vehicle, and the amount of corrosion present on these hydraulic lines appears premature for a vehicle of this age. These lines are critical components of the vehicle’s stability system and would normally be expected to last significantly longer. When the Dynamic Response system loses hydraulic pressure, the vehicle loses an important stabilization function that helps control body roll and maintain handling stability. With the system disabled, the vehicle may experience increased body roll and reduced stability during higher-speed cornering or emergency maneuvers, which raises safety concerns. The issue was confirmed by the servicing Land Rover dealer. The dealer diagnosed hydraulic line corrosion and failure resulting in loss of system pressure. The repair is replacement of the front and rear hydraulic lines, refill and bleeding of the hydraulic system, and recalibration of the Dynamic Response system. The estimated repair cost is approximately $10,000. The vehicle is operated in New York State where winter road salt exposure is common. Hydraulic lines associated with a vehicle stability system should reasonably be expected to withstand normal environmental exposure, including road salt, for a longer period of time. Photographs, dealer report, repair estimate are available.
NHTSA complaint #11723834 — an unverified report by a vehicle owner.
Vehicle went into a shut down and all electrical power was dead. Attempted to charge battery and battery had 13.2 amps. Towed to dealer and they reported a software update was required. Also they later reported the battery was changed. Upon pick up, the dash reported warnings of no steering assist, no traction control and software update required. Vehicle has been back 4 times and dealer cannot resolve warning lights after two months. They have indicated it is the driver safety camera not being properly calibrated after multiple attempts and replacement of the windsheild. Vehicle continues to state a warning safety issue and not to exceed 30 miles per hour.
NHTSA complaint #11723295 — an unverified report by a vehicle owner.
Took my vehicle in for suspension noise and was told the front passenger side steering knuckle is cracked at the upper ball joint mount. There is a current recall for this issue for model years 2014-2017, but not for 2021 models. This issue appears to be greater than originally expected.
NHTSA complaint #11718204 — an unverified report by a vehicle owner.
On February/12/2026 I was slowing down normally in a 25mph zone to stop at a red light and just before the moment that my vehicle actually came to a stop I heard a loud breaking sound coming from the front and I felt my vehicle's nose dip down on the passenger side. It was obvious that something major broke so I did not proceed or attempt to drive from that point. I turned on my 4 way flashers and a few angry drivers at the same light expressed their displeasure with me for not proceeding when the light turned green by using finger signals as they drove around me. One passerby in the lane to my right told me that my wheel had come off! The police showed up a few minutes later and they called for a recovery truck. While waiting for the tow truck my husband arrived and he looked at the damage. The damage was an obvious failure of a major suspension / steering component as you could see that the top part of the steering knuckle had broken away from the suspension and the tire was laying out at a 45+ degree angle. Also while waiting for the tow truck I looked up to see if there are any recalls on my vehicle was horrified to learn that there is a major recall for the steering knuckle on my car. I have not received a recall letter or a notification about this serious safety issue which is almost as scary as the thought of this failure happening at highway speeds! After dragging my vehicle on to the flatbed I had the driver tow my vehicle directly to the dealership where I purchased my vehicle when new. >Front passenger steering knuckle break away failure. My vehicle is not repaired at this time so it is available for inspection at the dealership of origin. >Everyone on the road including myself was at risk if this failure happened at normal highway speed because my car would have been uncontrollable! >Has not been inspected at this time as this just happened. >There were no symptoms, drive-ability issues, or warning lights or any indication until the moment of failure!

Recall 25V-514, they don't have a "remedy" and my vehicle started to show signs of crack appearing on steering knuckles. Local dealer won't do anything about it and because of this I am afraid of driving my vehicle. This is the vehicle I use to carry my kids, and it is the only vehicle I have. I have had to rent out of pocket a car just to take kids to school and back home.

I am submitting this email as a formal safety defect notification regarding a front suspension knuckle cracking condition observed on my 2016 Range Rover Td6, which appears to directly correspond with Land Rover Recall D027. Attached are photographs of the passenger-side front suspension knuckle showing a distinct structural crack running vertically through the knuckle body at the upper control arm mounting point. The crack is continuous, visible from multiple perspectives, and is not consistent with a normal casting seam or cosmetic surface feature. According to the recall description, cracking in this location may result in loss of clamp load and potential separation of the suspension arm, posing a significant risk to vehicle control and occupant safety. The condition observed on my vehicle appears consistent with the failure mode identified by the manufacturer. I am submitting this information to: - Document a real-world instance of the suspected defect - Provide photographic evidence supporting the concern - Support evaluation of recall scope and remedy effectiveness This submission is provided in the interest of vehicle safety and defect reporting. I respectfully request confirmation of receipt and inclusion of this information in your defect review records. Please advise if any additional details or documentation are required.

Good morning, Some time ago Land Rover Corporate made me aware of the recall about the suspension failure that can happen without warning, but to date there is no fix and apparently no parts to fix the problem so I am in need of guidance as to what to do, what recourse do I have should this fail as I am driving, etc? I do not have another vehicle to drive in the meantime and given the recall it makes me nervous as most of my driving is at highway speed as I work in multiple locations each day depending on project. What are my next steps to remedy?
NHTSA complaint #11710912 — an unverified report by a vehicle owner.
The suspension light came on saying that there is a suspension error "leaning when cornering" in yellow. Also the "suspension fault" light "stop safely stop engine" in red comes on. The arms has been replaced, due to a bend because of the weight. The brakes, rotors and sensors are replaced every 3 months because of the weight wearing down the brakes faster than usual. (AND NO I'M NOT USING AFTERMARKET PARTS ALL PARTS ARE OEM PARTS FROM RANGE ROVER). When I reached out to Range Rover they had no solution or suggestions. The best the representative came up with was park your truck. They don't have the parts. Why are these trucks allowed to be on the road. If that's the case replace the whole truck then. This part thats cracked is a flaw on the companys end and now I am expected to walk away from my vehicle and except the lost. I have been trying to get this part fixed for a year now.

The contact owns a 2015 Land Rover Range Rover. The contact stated that while accelerating or making a turn, there was an abnormal knocking sound coming from the front-end of the vehicle, and the vehicle vibrated. The contact stated that the failure had become more persistent and noticeable over time. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V514000 (Steering); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 54,000.

Dear NHTSA Safety Division, Please find attached my formal letter regarding an urgent safety concern related to Safety Recall D041 (Front Suspension Knuckle Crack) – NHTSA Recall No. 25V-514, affecting my 2016 Land Rover Range Rover. It has been nearly a year since the initial recall notification, and the defect has now rendered my vehicle unsafe to drive. Despite repeated attempts to seek assistance, I have been advised there is still no remedy available, nor has Jaguar Land Rover provided a temporary vehicle or interim repair. Given the severity of this issue and the growing safety risk to my family, I am urgently requesting NHTSA’s intervention and guidance. - Attached: Urgent_Safety_Concern_Letter_Demetrius_Strong.pdf Thank you for your immediate attention to this matter. This is related to the repairs, not from an incident. Land Rover does not have a fix for the defective part, they are replacing with a new, yet old design part. Ok, but they are requiring the owners to pay for the parts and labor to replace until such a time that a newly designed part is available. According to them, at that time they will replace free of charge and refund the amount required today. Yet, they have not timetable for above. That is unacceptable.
