There is a daytime running light (DRL) malfunction with both headlights, it started with the drivers side slowly going out and now the passenger side is slowly going out. This is happening to several Dodge Durango owners of the 2021 model and can be found in the Dodge Durango forum online. The dealer stated it’s an out of pocket expense because the DRL is out and the entire component needs replaced. This is inaccurate because when I turn off the DRL settings the turning signal flashes orange fast so this tells me it’s not completely out and the headlights themselves work. My car has been this way for over a year because I can’t afford to spend $1500+ per light replacement and for the dealer to claim it has to be an out of pocket expense is not okay because the point of LED lights are because they use less energy while lasting 25x as much so it doesn’t make sense that they stopped turning on versus the non LED. While driving around I’ve seen SEVERAL Dodge Durango with a DRL out or both or one out and the other half way out so this confirms it’s a manufacture issue. I came across forums of people with this issue and full extended warranty coverages where they’re being told it’s not covered. Dodge(Mopar) needs to address this for the consumer as it causes a safety issue when the left/right turning signals are not properly displayed. The car wouldn’t pass a safety test. Myself and several Dodge Durango owners are currently at risk of being in a car accident due to this malfunction. The full assembly does not need replaced. Please look this over and issue a safety recall as my family and I are at risk because I can’t afford a $3000 headlight replacement that isn’t even needed. That’s just the dealer and Mopar trying to make more $$$ while not worried about the safety of their customers.

I have numerous issues with this vehicle. Let’s begin with the AC not working. Additionally, there’s water leaking from the inside, coming from the passenger and driver sides. The front carpets have a foul odor. While we were driving from the service center, white smoke started coming through the driver’s side vents. When we make turns, we hear a creaking noise. We took it to the service center and got it back a week later, but they didn’t fix the problem. I just need to know what’s going on with my vehicle

Family of 5 traveled back from out of state. Pushed and drove straight through the last 3 hours. When got home and got out of vehicle everyone immediately started feeling ill. 2 kids passed out and we called 911. Fire department detected a carbon monoxide leak in the vehicle. All 5 family members were poisoned and taken by Ambulance to the nearest hospital. ER doctors told us we were lucky to be alive. There were no warning lamps or messages. The 2 of the kids were tired and had headaches but we didn't think much about it. We've been told it's a few different things and are getting the run around from our dealership that we purchased the vehicle from. They've also told us they don't have any way to test it but demanded we go pick it up after they replaced a manifold bolt. My husband got about halfway home and the censor that we'd bought for our vehicle started going off, so back to the shop it went and now they're saying there is a clamp that needs replaced as well. We just want it to be made right. We also don't want this happening to anyone else. I don't think people even know this is a possibility. Is there anything you can do to help?

I tell the dealership mechanics that this car does not turn on and they keep giving me the car back and now the car completely turns off while driving making this extremely dangerous and deadly situation. My fear is something happening to me or my kids while I’m driving. I also took it back to the mechanic and told them the situation but they refused to dig deeper and told me to pick up the vehicle that there’s nothing they can do

The Lebra protection cover negates the safety features on Durangos with front radar. The radar protects the vehicle for collision avoidance, auto speed reduction, lane departure, and other safety features. There is a cutout in the LeBra cover which should permit the radar to function correctly but it does not. My vehicle displays a red light and beeps constantly with the cover installed. Without the cover there are no issues. I contacted Dodge Connect and they stated that this is a know problem with front end covers with radar safety options. They accessed my vehicle and checked the alignment etc. Which was correct. They then led me thru resetting the system to be sure that there was no “hard” error. There were no hard errors and nothing they did fixed the issue. They sent me the following which is printed on the Dodge Durango web site. >>>>Do not attach or install any accessories near the sensor, including transparent material or aftermarket grilles. Doing so will cause an ACC system failure or malfunction. Notice is states NEAR! I sent all the photos requested. They are: A picture of the cover installed, A picture of the front of the radar with the cover on, a picture of the malfunction caused by the cover and a video illustrating the malfunctioning safety issues caused, the serial number of the Lebra, two pictures of the vehicle without the cover installed. These photos can be expanded for a closeup view. I have sent all information and pictures requested by Cover Craft. I have contacted Cover Craft customer service multiple times already and I feel as though I am getting the run-around or simply being ignored. No after market product should ever negate the factory installed safety features of a vehicle thus putting the driver and occupants in danger. The component that failed is the rear spoiler of the Durango. There is already a recall in place. The vehicle was inspected a few years ago and passed. Then, the issue happened where it fell off while driving, damaging the back hatch of the Durango. After speaking with the dealership, they refused to fix the problem because they stated they already checked the recall and it passed. But it's still a recall. And it fell off while I was driving almost damaging the vehicle behind me. In causing serious accident

The vehicle had been parked and unused for approximately 24 hours. We drove it home after staying elsewhere overnight and arrived home about one hour before the incident. About an hour after parking, I asked my fiancé to retrieve our belongings from inside the vehicle. He immediately noticed smoke filling the interior of the vehicle. I opened the hood to try to determine where the smoke was coming from but did not see any visible fire. As I continued looking for the source of the smoke, the vehicle suddenly caught fire. Within approximately 10 minutes, the fire spread rapidly, completely destroying the vehicle and reducing it to a total loss. The flames then spread to my home, causing part of the house to catch fire. Thankfully, we discovered the smoke when we did. Had it gone unnoticed for even a short time longer, our entire house could have caught fire. Firefighters arrived just as the fire began spreading to the house and were able to prevent further damage. Thankfully, no one was injured.

My vehicle is a 2022 Dodge Durango, and suddenly, about a month ago, the driverside day-time running light stopped working. This seemed strange because it's an LED light and they generally last the majority of the vehicle's life, but certainly longer than four years. Then I started to notice other Durangos locally with the same problem, all with the driver's side daytime running light only. I've checked multiple online forums as well and confirmed that this is a widespread problem. I contacted the FCA hotline to report this problem and to see if Dodge had either addressed this problem or would be willing to. Each time the representative denied having a single complaint about this problem, which I knew to be false after the second time, because I knew there was at least one, MINE from the first report. This repair cost over $1600, and is still not done because the headlight assembly for the driver's side is on back order. Yes, the driver-side headlight assembly is on back order, but not the passenger-side one. When asked why the passenger side is not on backorder, but the driver-side one is, I was told it's because there seems to be a widespread problem with the ones that came on the vehicle from the factory, and replacing them has caused a backorder. To add insult to injury, Dodge's own warranty does not cover this problem, and neither do their expensive extended warranties, because the problem is considered to be a "sealed beam", not the headlight assembly itself, even though the only way to replace the headlight assembly.

my vehicle has had a recall since November 2024 For the HCU/ABS module that falsely reads pressure in the primary circuit may illuminate the brake lights (up to 4.5 mph), disable the ABS and Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and allow the vehicle to start and shift out of park without the brake pedal being depressed. Well back in November 2025 i had to pay for towing twice and have it in service because the ABS Stop and Start module went out and i had to repalce the battery out of pocket and then not even 7 months to the date i went out and tried to get in my durango and it wouldnt start so i replace the battery and the ABS light came back on and the vehcle shut down and i couldnt get it started back.

My 2020 Dodge Durango experienced a severe interior dashboard fire that appeared to originate in the center dash/radio area while the vehicle was parkedin driveway. The fire caused extensive melting and burn damage throughout the dashboard, center console, wiring, and surrounding interior components. The infotainment/radio area and electrical wiring sustained significant destruction, resulting in the vehicle becoming unsafe and unusable. After inspection, the dealership indicated that the radio or related electrical components may have overheated. The estimated repair cost was approximately $33,000 due to the extent of the electrical and interior damage.

The SUV has been experiencing electrical issues that started first one of the headlights stopped working, the white light around it, then it was the tailgate got a liftgate open error on the display even when the liftgate was closed, then we started to notice other electrical issues with the vehicle but the major problem that happened now is that while we were driving, all of the lights of the dashboard started to light up and the car was not responding to the accelerator pedal was not responding at all and we stalled in the middle of the street, we were lucky this didn't happen while we were on the freeway, we are afraid to use the car anymore because of this, the dealer refuses to take care of this issue because the warranty has passed but this is a major safety issue that can cause injury or death

At 37008 miles my coolant started to leak and it overheated, when taking to a mechanic they replaced the coolant and tubes and advised that it was rubbing on the hose, so they replaced the hoses and put in new coolant fluid and said it was all addressed, not even a week later, it started to overheat again even though it has all new hoses and they wrapped the hoses so it doesn't wear and cause the leak again and it still happened.

1) Major transmission failure, fluid leakage, and visible undercarriage corrosion on a newly leased car with under 3K miles on it. Additional: Losing vehicle function. Car would not shift into gear and would not move. Car is currently at the dealership in which it was leased. 2) Yes, huge safety concern. Losing vehicle function while traveling on a bridge—with limited ability to safely stop posed a serious risk to our safety and to others on the road. 3) Yes, problem has been confirmed by dealer. 4) The vehicle has not been inspected at this time by anyone other than the dealership in which it was leased. 5)While accelerating at approximately 30–35 mph, the vehicle began emitting a high-pitched whining noise, similar to sound of a remote-control toy car. The vehicle then started jerking back and forth during acceleration. Shortly after, the “Check Engine” light illuminated. We activated our hazard lights, reduced speed to approximately 10-20 mph, exited the bridge, and pulled into an emergency stopping area. There was no prior warning that there was a problem.

Approximately 3 years ago we noticed water accumulating in the rear light. They refer to it as a race track light bar. Went to dealer who said not covered under warranty, and it would be $1,455 to replace. I did not have the money at that time to replace it. So we kept draining the water, as I noticed the light getting dimmer. I charged the $1455 and replaced it. 1/8/23. I did find that there were numerous complaints. and this week I found water in the entire light had approximately 3 inches of water in it. We drained it and I contacted the dealer who advised that the 24 month warranty was up Jan 2026 (two months ago. I just found information that there is a class action lawsuit regarding this and since they determined ti is a safety issued there is a jury trial scheduled end of this year. and the manufacturer refused to repair or replace. I just took pictures and noticed a fair vertical crack. l am trying to included a picture but cant convert to jpeg. I am very concerned as the rear lights will dim and hopefully I dont get rear ended.

I had a safety recall for the ABS brake module which was taken in. I was told twice one time the part they did not know when it would arrive. I kept calling. It was very hard to get a hold of the dealership Chrysler Dodge ram country and Fort Stockton, Texas. Called again last Friday conveniently. The part had been incorrectly ordered and that day it was available. They were going to have a tech repair it that day. I told them to give me a call because I would be working out of town. They did not call but they took my vehicle to my employer and left it there and left the keys with the coworker. Call them back on Monday because now I had the auto start light on and still the traction light on. Explain to them that if it could have been part of the ABS module they had supposedly replaced. They tried to convince me that it did not. So needless to say I had to replace a vacuum pump which is in the process but as the gentleman that was going to repair that took a look at the ABS module which was old. No signs of anything being new or even any of the components being removed. No signs of it being touched. I googled the part number on the abs module which came up as a recall item. So the original part was still in my vehicle which was the original part that had a recall. The item was never replaced as they had told me which could have led to a major hazard or possibly even death of myself, family, or even another vehicle causing an accident. They took it upon themselves to put myself in danger and anybody else on the roads along with anybody. I might have been carrying in my vehicle by lying that they had replaced that part. Vehicle Fire 2021 Dodge Durango GT Blacktop AWD VIN: [XXX] On around [XXX] somewhere between [XXX]pm to [XXX]pm a fire broke out in my 2021 Dodge Durango. The vehicle was parked for the evening and had been unattended for at least4 to 5 hours. At some point during the night the vehicle caught fire from underneath the dash and did severe damage to the vehicle and will most likely be a total loss. The fire melted the dash severely and the flames reached the front windshield and interior roof of the vehicle. It appears the lack of oxygen smoldered the fire and eventually extinguished itself from all windows being closed.
