VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL

when passing another vehicle in a passing zone, with gas pedal fully depressed, there is a 2 or 3 second lag time after releasing the gas pedal before the truck actually stops accelerating. this has happened since I bought the truck brand new from the dealership. first few times it happened it scared the hell out of me. I had to apply the brakes hard in order for it to slow down. I brought it back to the dealer to have it looked at (while having the windsheild wiper recall repaired). the ford mechanic stated that that was just the way it is. he also said others have had this problem as well but there was no factory directive to fix it. The problem still occurs to this day but since i am used to it and expect it It is not as terrifying. but still, this is a obvious safety problem.

VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL

Speedometer not working correctly analog and digital do no match. Trailer brake and lighting module failure warnings displayed. Both have been looked at by Ford Dealership, twice. You don’t know what is true, you can’t rely on any warning lights as all have proven wrong. I am in the process of 3rd trip in tomorrow to leave the vehicle a few days since it has to be parked on the Ford lot and stored there in order to try to get another speedometer to install to see if it fixes the one problem.

VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL

Intermittent delay in throttle response. Sometimes the delay is nonexistent or nearly imperceptible, other times the delay can be 2 seconds or more. Is very dangerous when trying to merge with flowing traffic. Occurs most often with the steering wheels turned and accelerating from stop, but has happened while driving straight at freeway speeds. Turning off traction control seems to mitigate but not entirely eliminate the issue.

2023 Ford F-250 SD Superior, WI Crash

VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL

On September 16, 2025, while driving my 2023 Ford F-250 Super Duty at approximately 65 mph with cruise control engaged, I pressed the brake pedal to disengage cruise. The cruise control did not disengage. I pressed the brake pedal harder, but the truck did not slow down and maintained speed. There was no ABS activation sound or sensation, and no skid marks were left on the roadway. I struck the rear of a tractor trailer because the vehicle failed to slow down or cancel cruise control. In addition, the airbags did not deploy during the collision. This appears to be a failure of the brake pedal input/cruise disengagement system, braking system, and potentially the airbag system. This is a severe safety defect that could result in serious injury or death.

VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL

When you start engine, and it's below normal temp, the engine maintains a high idle rpm and upon shifting to fwd or reverse the truck overpowers the brakes and accelerates rapidly. In reverse it's startling. It's unsafe in parking lots and on street parking.

The BJB fuse panel gets water in it .The vehicle produces multiple alarms and the throttle stops working . So when going down the road it goes to a idle and you can't get out of the way of other vehicle's . The ford dealership said the BJB Panels do get water in them but have not heard of them causing this problem. There was a list of alarm's from the fuse panel failure it all happened about the same time .

VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL

I live in a mountain area, many steep hills. When driving down a steep windy road (speed under 30 MPH) I use the exhaust brake so I don't have to ride my brakes. However, the exhaust brake keeps going off and on. Worse yet the engine throttles up increasing speed. I have to then press my brake peddle to slow the truck down. Once I release the brake the truck repeats the same process of speeding up. If I turn off the exhaust brake the issue goes away but then I need to ride the brake. If I am on a steep straight road going over 40 MPH the exhaust brake works like it is supposed to. Another issue of safety is when approaching a stop the engine RPM will not drop below 1200 RPM allowing the truck to slow down unless I push the brake harder then normal. This also happens when driving in a parking lot. The engine will stay at high idle moving the truck to fact in a parking lot situation. These issues are very consistent not just one in a while. I have had the truck into FORD and they say the computer checks out OK. I showed Ford the high idle issue in their own parking lot. They just tell me they can't find the problem. I am not confident that Ford will fix this very unsafe problem. I have now found another person with a 2021 F250 with the same issues. She said Ford will not help her either. I have checked on a few internet forums and see that other have reported the same issues. This is a serious safety issue and need to be addressed. I need to e

When I drove over 50mph and hit any bump the front of the truck shakes wildly. Online says DEATH WOBBLE. This has been going on for 4 months. When taking my children to school 20+ miles away on the highway this has happened several times to and from school on the same day. Other vehicles move out of my line to avoid me while I slow the truck to under 45 mph. They are scared and nervous about getting to school safely. My mother and wife refuse to drive the truck after experiencing this while driving. The fuel injector now also has a problem. The truck is going in to be serviced for the failing fuel injector and death wobble hopefully today if Waldorf MD Ford has openings I am awaiting a call back. It has not been inspected yet only diagnostic at AutoZone showing the fuel injector error code. No warning was given prior to this happening, the truck was riding smoothly, hit a bump in the highway and went crazy. Then it did it again and again and again.
