When we plug our F350 into our fifth wheel trailer, the lights work until we put the brakes on once we apply the brakes the rear right brake light and turn signal no longer work. So we are forced to drive with only one working brake light and tail light when we disconnect and reconnect. It does the exact same thing again we have had two other pick ups both GM products connected to our trailer and it works perfectly. We’ve had a mechanic look at it and tell us it was not our trailer. It is our truck. I’ve contacted Ford who refuses to do anything about it. We get brake module error messages from the truck as well as brake lighting, module errors from the truck.

The contact owns a 2024 Ford F-350 SD. The contact stated that the power windows independently rolled down while the vehicle was parked, causing water to enter the vehicle. The dealer was notified of the failure and performed an unknown remote software update; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the power window master switch replacement was recommended. The vehicle was not repaired. Additionally, the contact stated that while driving and towing a trailer, the message "Trailer Not Connected" was displayed, and the trailer exterior lights and brakes were inoperable intermittently. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V104000 (Electrical System, Exterior Lighting); and the vehicle was taken to the dealer, who performed the recall repair; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, where the integrated trailer module software update was performed a second time; however, the failure persisted. The contact was informed that the integrated trailer module needed to be replaced at the owner's expense. The contact stated that the recall repair failed to fix the vehicle. The dealer notified the manufacturer of the failures, but the manufacturer denied assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000.

Vehicle produced symptoms over time: Loss of Ford Pass connectivity, Inconsistent turn signal function, occasional dashboard alarm for Open Driver Door while driving, unwarranted security alarm triggers when still at home. Second to last incident was an unwarranted security alarm that triggered, and was unable to be stopped by use of the security controls (lock/unlock, alarm key button). Horn "wore out" as if fuse burned. Disconnected battery to stop. Two days later, after reconnecting the battery I drove the vehicle, Horn was not functional, and I was unable to stop the engine. Once started, the vehicle did not turn off, even with key completely removed from ignition switch. This was repeatable, every ignition cycle, thereafter. I drove to the dealer, that morning. The dealer mechanic was required to shut off the engine. Dealer mechanic diagnosed failed Battery Junction Box. After Repair, Mechanic diagnosed faulty Body Control Module. Dealer mechanic also recommended replacement of full "Main" wiring harness, interconnecting the two. The cause for all failures was corrosion and electrical shorts due to water ingress. I am aware Ford has issued numerous TSBs and recalls for faulty BCMs, in the same age range as this vehicle. Also, TSBs for water intrusion into the BCM. The mechanic took photos of corrosion on both the BCM and main wiring harness. My prior vehicle was a 2011 Ford F-150, with the same 6.2L engine. No such faults were experienced up to Nov. 2023 sale. Photos of the corrosion on main wiring harness and BCM attached. Dealer has possession of the vehicle. Repairs in progress. Ford has declined support for faulty components; Recalls not associated with this vehicle. Estimated repairs to date on 6 year old vehicle on critical electronics in excess of $7,000.

This is a 2023 Ford F350 XLT vehicle. The low beam headlights do not put out sufficient light and are dangerous. I visited with the Ford dealership in Sunrise, Florida called Sawgrass Ford who told me that the previous owner changed the light source out to an LED light in an effort to gain more light. We both agreed that this did not help. In my research online it appears that this problem is limited to the XLT model. Apparently the Lariat, King Ranch, etc models have different headlights. There does not appear to be a recall on these headlights. I contacted Ford directly who advised me to go to a different dealer which won't help unless these are changed out. The vehicle currently has less than 35000 miles and is still under warranty.

In 2020 I Purchased Meyer Products Night Saber 4 LED Headlights for my snowplow. I thought they would be better than Meyers Nite Blaster 2 Halogen Headlights. Which I have found not to be the case. The Lens Defroster does not work well in heavy snow. They do not stay on constantly to keep melting snow off of the lens. Which becomes heavly snow laden severely impacting driving visibility. On more than one occasion I have had to pull over and manually clean the snow build up off of the lens. The most recent was the evening of Thursday [XXX] in which Maine had a heavy wet snow fall in Penobscot & Waldo County area. I had called Meyer Products in the past to complain about the the heater grid issue of not being able to keep up with keeping the lens clear & free of snow build up. Additionally, the contact stated that while raining or washing the vehicle, there was water entering the headlight enclosures and the headlights became inoperable. While the vehicle was in park(P), the interior lights turned on without driver input, and turned off while shifted into reverse(R). There was no notification from Ford Pass. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, who informed the contact that there were no open recalls but diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the headlight assembly needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was contacted and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 10,000.

In Texas this year we had 50+ days of 100F +. All the plastic parts on front and back cracked from within. Spider cracks form where the plastic is molded. Ford says it’s cosmetic however it’s on every piece of plastic and the dealers states “ I have seen a lot of this this year and all truck under 36 month warranty Ford covered as a defect hou out of warranty it’s a cosmetic issue.

The door ajar light will come on and remain on after starting the engine and while driving. This happens while in park and while driving. Even after opening and reclosing the doors before moving the door adjar warning light will not go away. If i get up to 55 mph it'll finally go off. The cabin lights remain on while the display light is on distracting at night and beeps while driving. The doors will not automatically lock, whe I try to lock them, the unlock even at speeds of 45mph. This has been an on going issue since we bought the truck. How am i supposed to know if the door is secure if I've checked them all before driving but the light will not go away. Everything I get to the dealership the lights are gone and they say they are unable to troubleshoot without the issue happening in the moment. Videos do not help they say. How am I going g to know the door will not fly open on the road?

right side headlight always had condensation and much more condensation than the left side, however, Ford and dealer always said that it was for ventilation. after a rain, the right headlight light was always on, even when the car was off, and after that the right signal and lamp will not turn on anymore. Dealer did changed the whole headlight assembly, however, the issue still there.

IT IS NIGHT AND I DON?T WANT MY HIGH-BEAMS ON SO I TOGGLE THEM OFF BY FLIPPING THE TURN INDICATOR HANDLE. A CAR IS APPROACHING FORM THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE ROAD. AS THE CAR APPROACHES AND PASSES BY ? WHAT SHOULD MY HIGH-BEAMS DO, STAY OFF OR TURN ON? SENSE I TURNED THEM OFF, I WOULD THINK THEY SHOULD SAY OFF BUT THEY DON?T, THEY COME ON. THIS CAN BE FURTHER EXACERBATED IN FOG. WE ALL KNOW THAT DRIVING WITH HIGH-BEAMS IN FOG IS DANGEROUS ? THE DRIVER COULD BE BLINDED BY THE LIGHT REFLECTION OFF THE FOG. THE SAME SCENARIO ABOVE BUT NOW DRIVING IN FOG WITH THE HIGH-BEAMS OFF ? THIS VEHICLE IS EQUIPPED WITH A FEATURE THAT SHUTS THE ENGINE AND IGNITION OFF AFTER 30 MINUTES OF IDLE WITHOUT DRIVER INTERACTION. THESE VEHICLES HAVE "UP-FITTER SWITCHES" WHICH CAN BE TIED TO THINGS LIKE AUXILIARY WARNING LIGHTS. WHEN THE VEHICLE SHUTS DOWN, THE HEADLIGHTS/TAIL LIGHTS TURN OFF AS WELL AS POWER TO ANY AUXILIARY LOADS. I AM A FIREFIGHTER IN NORTH CAROLINA. I HAVE THESE SWITCHES ATTACHED TO AUXILIARY SAE-W WARNING LIGHTS. THE OTHER NIGHT, I WAS ON THE SCENE OF A COLLISION AND AFTER 30 MINUTES, MY TRUCK SHUT ITSELF OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD AND WENT COMPLETELY DARK. THE HEADLIGHTS/TAIL LIGHTS TURNED OFF, AS WELL AS THE WARNING LIGHTS INSTALLED ON THE PERIMETER OF THE BODY. THIS RESULTED IN A SIGNIFICANT TRAFFIC HAZARD AND PUT THE SAFETY OF MYSELF AND OTHERS IN THE ROADWAY IN JEOPARDY. THE FEATURE CAN BE DISABLED EACH TIME THE VEHICLE IS STARTED, BUT REQUIRES THE VEHICLE TO BE STOPPED AND VARIOUS MENUS TO BE CYCLED THROUGH. I THOUGHT I'D KICKED IT OFF BUT APPARENTLY MISSED THE SETTING WHILE I WAS TRYING TO GET OUT AND RENDER AID AT THIS PARTICULAR INCIDENT. I HAVE SPOKED WITH RONALD FULLER WITH FORD'S BODY BUILDER ADVISORY SERVICE WHO INFORMS ME THAT THIS FEATURE IS INCLUDED IN ALL RETAIL TRUCKS, AND CAN NOT BE DISABLED. THEIR LOGIC IS THAT THEY WANT TO PREVENT PEOPLE FROM ACCIDENTALLY RUNNING THE VEHICLE IN THEIR GARAGE AND ASPHYXIATING THEMSELVES. THE RECOMMENDATION WAS TO PURCHASE A POLICE PACKAGE VEHICLE WHICH DOES NOT INCLUDE THIS SOFTWARE PACKAGE. MY CONCERN IS ANY VEHICLE USED FOR CONSTRUCITON, ROAD WORKS, OR FOR GENERAL COMMERCIAL APPLICATION IS LIKELY TO EXPERIENCE A SIMILAR SITUATION WHICH CAN RESULT IN THE VEHICLE BEING TOTALLY DARK IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROADWAY.
