Hello, the tire blew out on the interstate and is only at 25k mileage. Warranty stated is 40k mileage and I’m an extremely safe driver, I bought the car brand new with the tires on it

My tire is a 255 / 40 ZR 19 model, speed rated 100W. While rotating my tires I noticed catastrophic tread separation on the inner sidewall of the tire. The separation is scattered, not all in one section, and in total covers about 1/4 of the total diameter. The underlying belt package has separated and steel wire is plainly visible at distance. The tire was still holding normal pressure at the time of discovery and there was no indication of the separation from any pressure devices or anything other than visual identification of the issue, which was only possible due to a routine tire rotation. Driving conditions since installation of the tire have been ~85% dry weather at speeds no greater than 85mph. A long haul trip from San Jose, CA to Los Angles, CA (~675 miles round trip) occurred 1.5 weeks prior to discovery.

Pirelli p zero rs sizes 305/30/19 and 315/30/19 . These tires are track tires, no Tread. Unsafe when the road is wet. Ford should not have put these on a car for street use. Totally unacceptable and unsafe for use in other than hot and dry roads

The contact owns a 2018 Ford Mustang. While the contact's wife was driving at an undisclosed speed, there was a grinding sound coming from the vehicle and the vehicle jerked abnormally. In addition, the contact stated that the TPMS warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact was provided with the cost of a diagnostic test fee. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed with valve body failure. The contact was informed that the valve body needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact was informed of Technical Service Bulletin: 21-2115. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was filed. The contact was also informed of Technical Service Bulletin: 10R80; however, the contact was informed that the repair was not covered under the program. The contact was advised to contact the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 44,113.

LOW TIRE WARNING CAME ON. WENT TO TIRE SHOP. THEY REMOVED THE TIRE & SAID IT COULD NOT BE REPAIRED. WHILE THE TIRE WAS OFF THE RIM, HE SAID WE NEED TO TAKE PICTURES. THE SIDEWALL WAS CRACKING FROM THE INSIDE OUT. HE SAID THERE WAS NO DAMAGE ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE TIRE. PIRELLI TIRES P235/55R17 I HAVE THE PICTURES, BUT YOU WEBSITE WILL NOT ALLOW ME TO UPLOAD THEM.

I have had the outside sidewall separate from the rest of the tire on two occasions, with these tires. The first time was in May of 2021, the second on June 1, 2023. I currently have the tire that separated on June 1st. Both times I was on the highway driving around 70 when the car began to shake violently, as if I was on an exaggerated rumble strip. I was able to pull into the emergency lane and change to a spare. The first time I assumed maybe the tire was low on air and didn't report it, however now after having a second tire do the exact same thing believe they are defective. Tire size is 225/55/16, for full disclosure I did purchase the tires and wheels off craigslist, however they were in very good condition. I Believe Granada is a Les Schwab brand. Picture of both tires are attached.

There was a pencil mark on the inside tire wall where there was a leak. On the test drive there was a light on the dash indicating low pressure. Prior to pick up I was told it was repaired. On -27-23 I was driving the car and was lusting towards the center of the road after I regained control I had the tire checked at a tire shop and found that a patch had been put on the inside of the tire on the sidewall. The problem was reported to BBB and the dealer has not responded. I am in possession of the tire. No one has inspected the tire.

Tire size: 255/40 ZR19 Our vehicle only has 14,757 miles and these tires lack good traction under normal driving conditions. In more than one occasion, the vehicle would start fishtailing when entering a highway from a side street. So far, we have been lucky and managed to keep the vehicle from leaving the roadbed or crashing into another vehicle. However, every time this happens, we get the scare of our lifetime.

September 9, 2022 at 4:45 P.M. CST. Less than 300 yards from merging onto the interstate, my children and I heard an extremely weird noise coming from the passenger side of my car, so I immediately pulled over. My daughter and I both looked at each other and asked, “what is that?” I told my daughter I knew I did not have a flat, however I felt like there was something wrong with my tire. We exited my car and found that my passenger side front tire had wire showing and was tearing/ripping at the “belt”. This occurred on/near the inner sidewall. I drive a 2018 Mustang GT, and had this occurred while traveling at 75mph on the interstate, it is likely it would have ended badly. It is likely that I would have lost control of my car and I could have possibly totaled my car, rolled/flipped it and it could have taken the lives of myself or my two children who were with me. I have found multiple other complaints regarding the same issue that I just experience at the following link: https://continentaltire.custhelp.com/app/social/questions/detail/qid/65/~/extreme-contact%2C-unacceptable-tread-wear Based upon those reviews and what I experienced today, this seems to be a manufacturer defect, which should not only be addressed and recalled but be replaced free of cost. Once I found the problem, I put my spare on, drove home and removed both front tires and put two of my stock wheels and tires on the front. Upon inspecting the driver side front tire after removal, I found that it too had the same issue happening in the exact location of the passenger side. Had this not occurred I would not be aware of the driver side doing the same thing. I absolutely do not think this was a coincidence or any mechanical issue, as the driver side is doing the exact same thing, in the exact same location and around the exact same letters as the passenger side. no warning lights were on.

235 / 55 R 17 At less than 20,000 miles - left rear driverside tire constantly failed to hold air. I have recent photographs at 29k miles showing date stamp of pic, psi levels, tires themselves, and receipts for replacement tires. Also, on several occasions, while driving in light rain, on a side street, between 20-30 miles an hour, I experienced loss of traction, steering, and experienced pitching. Very scary.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 FORD MUSTANG EQUIPPED WITH COOPER ZEON R53-61R20 TIRES, SIZE: 255/40/ZR19-XL (NA). WHILE DRIVING 70 MPH ON THE HIGHWAY, THE CONTACT HEARD A LOUD SOUND IN THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE SWERVED TO THE RIGHT AND THE CONTACT WAS ABLE PULL OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE CONTACT OBSERVED THAT THE ENTIRE CROWN AT THE MIDDLE OF REAR DRIVER'S SIDE TIRE WAS SPLIT AND DETACHED. THE CONTACT WAS ASSISTED IN CHANGING THE TIRE AND WAS ABLE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE HOME. THE CONTACT CALLED MARVIS DISCOUNT TIRE CENTER AND WAS INFORMED THAT SINCE HE DID NOT PURCHASE THE ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE SERVICE, THEY COULD NOT ASSIST HIM. THE TIRE CENTER SUGGESTED THAT THE CONTACT CALL THE TIRE MANUFACTURER (COOPER TIRES). THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT IF THE CONTACT TOOK THE TIRE TO THE DEALER AND THEY DETERMINED IT WAS A MANUFACTURER DEFECT, THE MANUFACTURER WOULD POSSIBLY REFUND THE COST OF THE TIRE. THE CONTACT WAS CONCERNED THAT HE HAD THREE MORE COOPER TIRES THAT COULD HAVE THE SAME FAILURE. THE TIRE AND VEHICLE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 57,944.

GOODYEAR EAGLE F1 ASYMMETRIC ALL SEASON TIRE BLEW OUT WHILE DRIVING DOWN WINCHESTER ROAD IN TEMECULA, CA AT 45 MPH AROUND 6:45PM. THERE WAS A LOUD POP, FOLLOWED BY THE TPS WARNING THAT THE REAR PASSENGER TIRE HAD 1 PSI OF AIR LEFT. THE CAR WAS BROUGHT TO A STOP ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD IMMEDIATELY. AFTER BEING TOWED FROM THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND IT WAS DISCOVERED UPON INSPECTION THAT THE INNER SIDE WALL HAD FAILED.

ON A MONDAY MORNING, I GET IN MY CAR TO GO TO WORK AND THE VEHICLE'S WARNING SENSORS START TO GO OFF INDICATING THAT MY LEFT REAR TIRE HAS ONLY 15 PSI. NOW, ONLY THE NIGHT BEFORE, I WAS DRIVING AROUND WITH NO PROBLEMS ON MY TIRES SO THIS LEADS ME TO BELIEVE I MUST HAVE PICKED UP SOMETHING ON MY WAY HOME LIKE A NAIL OR A SCREW. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE NEAREST TIRE SHOP AND WHEN THEY INSPECTED THE TIRE THEY INDICATED THERE WAS A BULGE IN THE INNER EXTERIOR OF THE TIRE. WHEN I ASKED THEM WHAT THAT MEANT THEY INFORMED ME THAT A BULGE USUALLY CREATED WHEN DRIVING THROUGH A POTHOLE. I WAS INDICATED THAT IT MUST HAVE BEEN A SIGNIFICANT POTHOLE TO CREATE SUCH A CONDITION ON A FAIRLY NEW TIRE BUT THE PROBLEM IS THAT I NEVER RAN OVER A POTHOLE. THE WHEELS DO NOT HAVE ANY BENDS OR SCRATCHES INDICATING IT WENT THROUGH A POTHOLE THE SIZE OF WHICH NEEDED TO BE SIGNIFICANT ENOUGH TO CAUSE THE DAMAGE. THIS IS A NEW VEHICLE WITH ONLY 4,800 MILES AND FACTORY TIRES. BECAUSE THE BULGE IS AT THE SIDEWALL OF THE TIRE, THE ONLY COURSE OF CORRECTIVE ACTION IS THE REPLACE THE TIRE.

FORD HAS FAILED TO MAKE A SPARE WHEEL/TIRE AVAILABLE FOR THE 2015 MUSTANG. IT IS NOT STANDARD ON ALL VEHICLES (A TIRE INFLATION KIT IS ALL IT COMES WITH) AND THE SPARE WHEEL/TIRE IS ON BACK ORDER FOR ALL DEALERSHIPS BECAUSE SUPPLY IS LOW AND PRODUCTION IS BEING PRIORITIZED OVER OWNER AVAILABILITY. THEREFORE, I AM STUCK WITHOUT A SPARE WHEEL/TIRE. I HAVE EVEN TRIED TO PROCURE AN AFTERMARKET SPARE AND 3 DIFFERENT TIRE STORES HAVE TOLD ME THEY DO NOT HAVE A COMPATIBLE SPARE AVAILABLE. FORD IS HANDLING THE AVAILABILITY OF A SPARE WHEEL/TIRE AS A SHORTAGE OF AN "ACCESSORY" AS IF IT IS A FLOOR MAT, RATHER THAN A SAFETY CRITICAL PART AS A SPARE WHEEL/TIRE IS.

WE WERE SOLD A BRAND NEW 2008 MUSTANG GT500KR (SHELBY) JUNE 15, 2014. THIS CAR WAS KEPT AT THE DEALERSHIP IN THE SHOW ROOM AND NEVER SOLD UNTIL NOW. WE WERE CHARGED A $7 TIRE FEE AT THE TIME OF SALE BUT A FEW WEEKS LATER IT WAS REFUNDED TO US WITH NO EXPLANATION. WE RECENTLY TOOK THE CAR INTO A DIFFERENT DEALERSHIP FOR A SHIFTING ISSUE WHEN THE TECHNICIAN AND SERVICE ADVISOR TOLD US THE RUBBER ON THE TIRES IS GETTING HARD AND IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE TO DRIVE IT. AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE IT WAS NEVER DISCLOSED TO US THAT THE TIRES WERE OLD AND WE THINK THE SELLING DEALERSHIP WAS AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND THAT'S WHY THEY REFUNDED US THE TIRE FEE. WE CONTACTED FORD MOTOR COMPANY AND THEY REFUSED TO PUT NEW TIRES ON OUR VEHICLE.
