Everyone’s safety is at risk because these monitors are failing, and they aren’t doing anything about it. I asked for a loaner I don’t feel safe driving my brand new car. The last recall was a Risk of fire. So they got me a loaner, this one is only risking a crash so they don’t feel responsible. This cant be legal for them to make me drive around a car that may lose its hazards blinkers and speedometer at any time.especially since my other monitor is already working intermittently. I have zero faith in this car, and Toyota is refusing to prevent accidents by selling working vehicles, or providing a working vehicle until it is ready.

When I drove my car earlier the car audio was maximum because I was listening to something quiet. Later that day I went to start a video that was much much louder. The sound blasted for a couple of seconds and my ears really hurt. I do not believe at this time that I have permanent damage but it is very painful. Cars should not start with the audio at maximum volume, this is a real safety hazard.

I had just bought the car from the Dealer and was to drive it back home. I got about 30 miles from the Dealership and the check engine light came on. It stated malfunction in the awd system so now on two wheel drive then it stated start control malfunction and finally hybrid system malfunction. I returned it to the dealership and they said that the first diagnostic stated it was throwing high voltage. Looking on line when I got home I noticed the recall of many Toyota camrys for the loose bolt causing this issue and there is yet to be a fix for it. The manufacturer should take all those cars back so they cannot be sold and cause a risk till they can fix it. It makes a dealership look bad and puts innocent people at risk if they are not aware of the issue.

I bought this Camry and then my insurance notified me there was an open safety recall. When I saw there was a risk of fire, I took it straight to the Toyota dealership where it is now sitting with no remedy for the recall available. This recall started in December 2025 and it is now July 2026. I can’t even drive the new car I bought and am in a loaner from Toyota.

On [XXX], I purchased a brand-new vehicle 2026 Toyota Camry hybrid from Post Oak Toyota (located at 5800 Tinker Diagonal, Midwest City, OK 73110). The dealership delivered this vehicle to me with an open, active safety recall that had not been fixed. We discovered the recall June 20 2026 after setting up the new Toyota app. The dealership violated federal safety regulations by finalizing the sale and delivering a brand-new vehicle with an unaddressed factory safety recall. I was placed at unnecessary risk during the week and a half I operated the vehicle. Furthermore, I have been deprived of the use of my brand-new vehicle for the vast majority of my ownership period because the dealer sold a product they could not legally or safely allow me to keep driving. I am requesting that the NHTSA investigate this dealership non-compliance and delivery violation. the specific recall involves an improperly torqued bolt inside the inverter, which can cause sudden power loss or an increased risk of fire when the vehicle is running. the vehicle has been in the outside lot from July 3rd 2026 to present day so a total of 13 days. We have requested a buyback resolution because we no longer feel safe handling a vehicle that has started its lifecycle this way. Thank you for reading our statement. In an emergency stop on dry pavement, my braked did not operate in a straight line. The vehicle swerved. My statement is attached as Page 4 to an uploaded form supplied by the dealership abbreviated as "UB Interview Guide". You have my permission to inspect the vehicle which is in the possession of the Toyota of Santa Barbara dealership. Toyota of Santa Barbara has not to date inspected or repaired my vehicle. I am not aware that anyone has inspected the vehicle. I consider the problem to be one that could cause death or serious bodily injury if the vehicle is driven without repair. A red box appeared on my dashboard during the incident, but I had no time to read or process whatever message may have appeared. Please see my statement prepared within 24 hours of the incident.

I am filing this complaint because my 2026 Toyota Camry Hybrid has been under NHTSA Safety Recall 25V869 since December 16, 2025. As of July 2026, Toyota still has not provided a repair or remedy. It has been more than six months, and owners continue to drive vehicles affected by a safety recall without any available fix. I believe this delay is unreasonable and I request that NHTSA investigate why Toyota has not made a remedy available within a reasonable timeframe. I rely on this vehicle every day for work and school. It is concerning to know that my vehicle has an unresolved safety recall with no repair available after several months.

Brand new 2026 Camry is swaying left and right when driving on concrete roads at 40 mph and above. It was felt like I lost steering control; the whole car felt like it’s “floating” or weaving. Steering truly is difficult to control, specially on wet conditions. this Vehicle is equipped with factory 19” wheels with wide, low profile tires with low aspect ratio and short sidewalls; Bridgestone turanza tires 235/40/r19. The problem has been confirmed by the dealer saying this is known as tramlining. Vehicle was inspected by manufacturer several times. There’s no any warning lamps or messages or other symptoms of the problem. It appears that inappropriate tires were installed on this vehicle by manufacturer, which leads to a loss of steering control.

My intention was to proceed forward briefly, then shift into reverse to continue my planned route. Upon releasing my foot from the accelerator pedal in preparation for this maneuver, the vehicle unexpectedly and rapidly accelerated without any input from me. The rate and intensity of acceleration was unprecedented in my experience operating motor vehicles. I immediately applied pressure to the brake pedal in an attempt to stop the vehicle; however, the braking system was unresponsive and failed to slow or halt the vehicle's forward motion. As a result of this uncontrolled acceleration, the vehicle collided with the front porch of my residence. Upon impact, all airbags deployed. The collision caused extensive damage to my property, including a fractured and displaced porch support column. I sustained multiple serious injuries during this incident, including a severe laceration to my left leg, burn injuries across both hands, body, and legs, loss of mobility in my left arm and neck, and significant pain in my lower back region. Since the incident, I have experienced persistent sleep disturbances and difficulty concentrating due to recurring mental imagery of the collision. The physical injuries and psychological impact have substantially affected my daily functioning and quality of life. About a minute after the car is turned off (i.e. when in park and the push-button start is turned off), a warning on the heads up display will appear that reads “Low Battery Turn Power OFF.” It is unknown what causes this issue, but the vehicle has already been taken for maintenance once for this issue, and is reoccurring again less than a month after the initial problematic battery was fully replaced. There is no indication as to what is causing this issue, but maintenance had seen this issue several times before in 2025 Camry models.

The forward collision warning system emits a warning sound even when the car is in reverse. I was close enough to the door of my garage so that the forward warning was beeping. Since this always occurs when I back out of my driveway, I ignored the beeping. Unfortunately there was also something behind me and I backed into a low trash can. This could have been much more serious. The fact that the forward collision warning system stays active when backing up produces alarm fatigue and masks any warning from the reverse system.

I am reporting an issue with the driver seat in my 2026 Toyota Camry. The seat exhibits abnormal movement, shifting, instability, and popping sensations in the seatback area during normal driving conditions. The issue feels like looseness or movement of internal seat components and creates a distraction and potential safety concern while operating the vehicle. I brought the vehicle to a Toyota dealership for inspection. The dealership acknowledged the issue and opened a TAS (Technical Assistance System) case with Toyota Motor Corporation. An attempted repair and inspection were performed; however, the issue still persists. After researching online owner forums and discussions, I found multiple reports from other Toyota Camry owners describing similar driver seat problems, suggesting this may not be an isolated incident. The ongoing seat movement negatively affects driver confidence and comfort and may create a safety risk by distracting the driver or altering seating position while driving.

They have my car sitting here with an extraordinarily dangerous recall which they promised to fix by march but they haven't & it is already nearly June. It literally says the car can blow up. The recall says there's a belt problem & it can blow up at certain speeds & it can be fatal. That is crazy. if they cant fix it then they should recall the entire car & give us our money back so we can buy something safe. This is insane already

The radio/audio system has twice stopped working completely during travel--without warning--which is a safety issue since no emergency alerts can be received. The outage cannot be fixed by turning off the radio or any known practical intervention while the vehicle is moving. Audio reading of incoming text messages also fails. AM/FM/SiriusXM are all affected. Audio resumes at the next vehicle start-up. The vehicle is available for inspection. Safety is compromised since emergency alerts may be missed during these complete audio outages. Due to the randomness of the audio outages, independent confirmation has not been practical to date. No inspection by manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others has been requested or yet occurred. Other than the abrupt audio cut-off, no warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure have been observed. Thank you.

There is a recall for this vehicle for a loose inverter bolt. NHTSA recall No. 25V-869. The inverter bolt can become loose leading to a loss of drive power or fire while vehicle is on which can cause an accident, injury, or loss of life/property if the above mentioned occur while operating the vehicle. Information given by Toyota Brand Engagement Center has stated the remedy was supposed to have been available in February 2026. When follow up calls were made after February passed with no recall update, Toyota stated that the remedy should be available by the end of the 1st quarter. When the first quarter passed with still no update regarding the recall, another follow up call was made to Toyota with no updates available and no idea when an update could occur or when a remedy could possibly become available. They have failed to provide an update to the recall and when its potential remedy will be available in a timely manner allowing the continued use of these vehicles, knowing the potential for sudden loss of drive power could lead to accidents with the potential for catastrophic outcomes such as loss of life. This delay in remedy seems unacceptable and reckless at minimum.
