Tire size is 205 65R16 I purchased two Westlake Tires from Advanced Tire in Missouri from installation on my 2017 Toyota Camry LE. After installation, I experienced abnormal vibration and tire related concerns. On March 30, 2026, the Vehicle was inspected by Discount Tire. Discount Tire determined that one of the Westlake Tires was separating and unsafe for continued operation, Due to the safety concern, Discount Tire provided a loaner tire until replacement tires could be installed. Replacement tires were installed on March 31, 2026. Discount Tire documented that the tire was separating and unsafe. I retained possession of both Westlake Tires. The tire Manufacturer, Tireco (Westlake), was notified and provided photographs, purchase records, inspection documentation, and replacement invoices. Tireco later approved a partial reimbursement related to the tire claim. No warning lights were displayed on the vehicle. The primary symptoms were vibration and the unsafe condition identified during inspection. I am submitting this report because a tire that had been recently purchased was determined by an independent tire retailer to be separating and unsafe for operation. the defective tire remains available for inspection if requested.

We ordered this car custom what we wanted 2021 Toyota Camry xse awd. The car is great wife and I love driving it. But at 68,857 miles as of today 4/29/26 it’s on its second set of tires with regular maintenance and rotations on tires it’s eating them up on the inside. We have had 4 alignment checked by Toyota and les Schwab and everything time it comes out perfect. Two sets of tires within 30,000 give or take is a very bad problem as both times the inside of been to the cords. The last set was only 26,000 miles and half the tire was separated tread to tire. First set every tire was down to cords on the inside.

While driving down the highway, the whole car and steering wheel of 2021 Toyota Camry Hybrid started shaking side to side. Was able to exit safely and found a bubble in the sidewall of the 2021 Hankook Kinergy GT H436 BW 235/45R18 tire. Never had this happen with any tire before. 31,000 miles on tire. Could have caused a blow out if the exit was further away. No notification on Toyota Camry Hybrid screen or dash that anything was wrong with the tire before failure. I will check if the tire center will inspect the tire for me when they replace it in a few days.

Four (4) General Tire Reliatrek P205/65R16 95H were purchased on August 6, 2024 at Toyota Greenville located in Greenville, South Carolina, with mileage on my car at 138,174. At my last service in late December 2025, with 175, 777 miles on my car, i was told by Toyota Greenville that two of them needed replaced, with the others marginal. It was recommended by Toyota to have all four replaced. The promised warranty of these tires was 65,000 miles. I only put 37,603 miles on these tires, indicating severe premature wear and manufacturer defect. The tire manufacturer was contacted by Toyota about this safety concern, but little to no compensation was offered. The tires have been serviced at Toyota Greenville, and records can be provided (including photos) since time of purchase.

P20565R16 all four tires. These tires from Bridgestone have a UTQG rating of 640 A A with a "warranty" by the manufacture of 75,000 miles. The current set of tires on my car have approximately 18,000 miles and are very worn. The tire wear gauge reads 5/32 reaming tread. I doubt that the next 3/32 (5/32 - 2/32) will give me the remaining 57,000 miles. I buy my tires based on the UTQG rating. It's a good indicator of tire wear and has been fairly reliable up to this point. I Googled the tire to see if others have similar experience. The answer was YES. It appears that Bridgestone has a problem with tire wear on these tires. Reviews all pointed to terrible tire wear. Sadly, My wife's car had Firestone tires that we just replaced. Those had only 22,000 miles, but had a 600 UTQG rating. It appears that Firestone /Bridgestone do not know how tear wear works. First time in my life I was this disappointed in a tire company, but Firestone certainly had it's share of problems in the past. Someone needs to do an evaluation of Firestone tire rating practice. Tire size P 235/45 R 18 Factory installed on 2024 Toyota Camry, failed catastrophically at 3415 (+/- 5) miles. Vehicle was traveling eastbound on I-40 in Knoxville, TN, when the tread separated completely after bilateral failure of the sidewalls about 2" from the beads. Car stability and control were compromised, but fortunately, vehicle was pulled to the shoulder without incident. Tire warning light came on at some point before failure (exact time unknown). Tire replacement cost is $300. Wheel suffered some damage but has not been assessed for repair cost. Replacement cost is estimated as $500. Toyota dealer (Toyota Knoxville) inspected the tire and claimed it failed due to toad hazard. However, they are not tire experts, their inspection was casual, and they could not point to any specific damage from the supposed road hazard that would cause the catastrophic failure, and they have a conflict of interest in that they may be motivated to avoid warranty claims and sell new tires. I bought this set of tires new from Sams Club on 10/28/2023. On 12/16/2023 a TPMS warning light came on so I added air. Then three days the light came on and I added air again, and so on, and so on until 12/28/2023 I took it back to Sams Club and they replaced the tire with another tire of the same brand and type, and said it was a manufacturing defect. About a month later on 1/31/2024 the TPMS light came back on, so I added air and took it back to Sams Club to have it checked. They said it had a "hole" and they fixed it and put it back on. Then on 2/27/2024 the TPMS light came on and I added air and soaped all the tires and the same tire was leaking around the rim, and another tire on the rear driver side was bubbling around the rim. I compared the pictures to verify that the leaks were on different locations on the wheel, but the same location on the tire. In total, I've had three of these tires leak around the rim; two from the set I purchased on 10/28/2023, and one that they put on 12/28/2023 to replace the first tire that leaked. I spoke with a manager at Sams Club this morning and they're replacing the set with a different brand that matches what came with the car from the factory. I have pictures of all three leaks, and the last two tire codes.
