For a few days before the transmission went out, it was kinda spitting and shuddering, then the 4th day the transmission would not shift into gear and go. It would rev the engine all the way up and bark the tires even with my foot not on the gas or brake. It started jerking and just would not go. It would not accelerate at all.

recall has remedy not available since Oct 13, 2025 for the rear view camera. This has been an issue in several models of Ford vehicles. I have a 2019 FORD MUSTANG that had the same issue and the recall was completed in 5 months. the manufacturer has failed to provide a remedy for 10 months.

2017 Ford Escape Bowie, MD

I have had to repair the transmission twice. Recently the coolant intrusion has forced me to not have a car with engine failure. Mechanic confirmed gasket was blown. The car did not give a low coolant warning, but only an overheating warning, which I immediately called AAA. This car has been well taken care of, with oil changes and everything that comes with an oil change on time! This has been confirmed with an independent business. There needs to be a nationwide recall on this consistent malfunction!

1. My backup camera is malfunctioning. 2. I use it for visual safety when I put my car in reverse. 3. The back up camera either does not work or it shows the image upside down. It has not been confirmed by a dealership because it is easy to identify by me. 4. No, it has not been inspected by anyone else. On line, the 2014 Ford Escape Titanium has been identified with these issues however, for some reason my VIN (vehicle) is not on the list for recall. 5. My camera first started malfunctioning IN 2024. I can not have it looked at except at my expense which does not seem appropriate since others of the same year, make and model have been recalled due to the same issue.

2015 Ford Escape Wenatchee, WA

UNKNOWN OR OTHER

There is currently a recall on the 2015 Ford Escape. Ford has taken too long to make the new parts needed for the back up camera. This is a safety issue as it does check for blind spots. It's been more than 8 months since this recall started.

2016 Ford Escape Stratford, NJ

I own a 2016 Ford Escape SE affected by NHTSA recall 25V695 / Ford recall 25SA9 (rearview camera inspection). The recall was reported on October 14, 2025, and the remedy was anticipated to become available in June 2026. I contacted a Ford dealership on August 10, 2026, and was told that the parts are not currently available and that I should wait for a remedy notification in the mail. The recall has now been outstanding for approximately 10 months. I would like NHTSA to review the status of the recall and whether Ford is taking an appropriate amount of time to make the remedy available to affected owners. I would also like to know whether Ford has provided NHTSA with an updated estimated remedy-availability date, since the original recall information indicated that the remedy was anticipated to become available in June 2026, and it is now August 2026. The safety of myself and others is at risk with an incomplete remedy: I live on a busy road, and one morning while backing out of my driveway to go to work, I almost hit a pedestrian walking on the sidewalk at the end of my driveway. He was in my blind spot when I looked both ways, and my rearview camera was not working.

I own a 2016 Ford Escape with an open safety recall involving the rear-view/backup camera. I contacted Ford and have an existing Ford customer service case regarding the recall (Case CXH-08846683-H2S6Z8 ) Ford/dealer has informed me that the required replacement part is currently unavailable, leaving the safety recall unrepaired. The backup camera is a safety feature that is important when reversing and avoiding pedestrians, children, and other vehicles. I am requesting that NHTSA document this complaint and review Ford’s ability to provide a timely and effective remedy for this safety recall. I would also like Ford to provide a reasonable repair solution or timeline for obtaining the required part. Ford case number: CXH-08846683-H2S6Z8 Recall number: 25SA9 Vehicle: 2016 Ford Escape Date I was informed the part was unavailable: been trying for 5 months Dealer: Ford

On 8th of June 2026, exiting I35W onto Convery Dr. I notice my dash gauges failed in proving any information. I immediately pulled over turned off the vehicle and turn it on. Gauges did not work, but vehicle did start and was running normal. I utilize the Waze app to monitor my speed and arrived home safely while putting no one at risk. I had to take a different vehicle to Hopps automotive for repairs, upon return my vehicle gauges were working as normal. Two days after the incident started the vehicle and the gauges were not working, but vehicle did make it to the auto shop for repairs and was told the gauge clusters were out. Took roughly a few weeks for the repair because the clusters still wouldn't work after repair. had a safety recall went to ford for the software updates. After the updates everything seem to be running just fine. Ford Cleburne did a curtsey inspection, Transmission passed, but now my transmission is having issues. I have a zip file full of reports on my vehicle maintenance, but unable to upload all the information.

2020 Ford Escape Mosier, OR

My husband I originally purchased this vehicle around October 2020. We are the only owners and when we purchased it, it had 78 miles on it. Since I purchased it I have had to pay out of pocket for all the tire sensors to be replaced, I have had to purchase a new heater fan, and a sensor for a seat belt that prevented my adaptive cruise control from working. A while back, a warning light came on saying my adaptive cruise control was no longer working. I took it to Ford and was told it would cost $1600 to fix it. Surprisingly, it started working on it's own a few days later. Currently I took the car in because my rear passenger window wouldn't go up. I was told that it would cost almost $1800 to fix it. I have taken it to Ford to have 2 of the 3 recalls fixed. They do not show that it was fixed and I was told they weren't able to fix it. I pushed the button one day to send the cloth covering on the moon roof back. It snapped and no longer works, their is a crack in my dash, and I frankly don't have the money to fix a window motor that should have not quit after six years. I take excellent care of my car. I have all the maintenance taken care of. I expect to have the brakes fixed, new tires, new battery. What I don't expect is for the sensors and motors to go out. I have been driving for over 40 years, owned multiple vehicles and I have to say I am so disappointed with Ford. I understand that the problems I am having is not just me, that many Ford Escape owners are having similar issues. I would just like some assistance.

2015 Ford Escape Calhoun, GA

I'm simply complaining that parts are still not available. Also, Hemmings has sent out a notice to Ford owners about a transmission issue for Ford Escapes and other models. Can you say why this recall is not listed by Ford or NHTSA? Thanks. The car belongs to my friend [XXX] here in Calhoun. Issue: that the sunroof shade got, detach from the rig that slide it forward. This looks like it’s caused by the guard plate between the sunroof and the moonroof falling off, landing on top of the shade. This integral piece that keeps the mechanism functioning kept together by double sided adhesive, so virtually scotch tape. That’s ridiculous. This is a safety risk, because with the shade sagging, it blocks my view of the rear. Additionally, when it first happened the adhesive piece fell while driving causing a distraction while driving. This is a design flaw that Ford should cover.

October of 2025, I received a recall on my 2015 Ford Escape regarding the backup camera. As of today, 8/3/27, I have not received any news of being resolved. Is there anyway to find out if a resolution is on its way? It helps me with the blind spots. Thank you.

2020 Ford Escape Oklahoma City, OK

When the car sits in the sun and the gear shifter gets hot from the heat, the gear shifter locks up and you cannot get it out of park until it is cooled off. No matter how hard I try to turn the dial, until I completely cool the shifter down it will be stuck in park. I have started having to cover the shifter when I get out of the car to prevent this issue and if I forget, I have to point the air vents down towards the shifter, cover the shifter and the air vents with a jacket and then the ac to max ac for at least 5 minutes. This traps the cool air in with the shifter and helps cool it down so it will release and can shift into any other gear besides park. I have researched this issue and found many other owners of this similar year, make, and model who complain about the issue as well.
