My Ford Escape was fitted with two Cooper tires (235/55 R 17) that had to be replaced with less than 20k miles on them. After using the tires in normal city/highway situations, both tires started to bulge causing vibration when driving the vehicle. This was due to the belts breaking within the tire. While this specific tire is not currently under recall, I believe it should be. There is no reason these tires should've worn out so quickly and it sounds like the exact same issue many of their other tires currently under recall have. They are well under their warranty of 80k miles, but I will not put another Cooper tire on my car. I've only included the TIN from one tire, because I do not have the TIN for the first one that bulged. It has already been removed and disposed of. This happened to both of my Coopers in each rear position of my car.

This happened to all of my tires that were not even 3 years old yet. I purchased my used vehicle from Anderson Nissan in Lake Havasu City AZ a year and a half ago. The Scorpion Perilli Tires 235 45/R19 on my vehicle seemed to be like new. Starting in December is when I started to have problems my low tire pressure light came on and I took it to America Tire Company in Cathedral City CA and they put air in the tires told me if i had any issues with the tires to bring it back. I had to return several times 8 times regarding the low tire pressure. There was a small leak between the tire and rim when they submerged the tire in the water and it took me the customer to find the problem. I thought they had fixed the issue. January 2025 came around had issues again then I took it back in they found a nail in it. They put a patch on it. I had to take it back 8 more times after that. Leading up to [XXX] my low tire pressure light came on again pulled in they put air in my tires. Last month in August I had to take it back in for the low tire pressure light which was a Saturday made the appt for Monday and they had to replace my tire due to they could not fix it. It had a small hole next to the patch and had another screw it. When I got home I had taken pictures of all my tires and noticed they had splits in all the grooves all the way around the tire and the middle of the tread of tires. The were manufactured defect tires and I had to take my car back to America Tire Company to have them all replaced. They told me that if the tires are not safe we do not let you leave the store. They let me leave the store on the tires that look like that. I travel from CA to AZ and I did not feel safe. No lawyer will take the case if you have not been injured or in an accident. Pelc Tire of Fairhope Alabama identified a crack that has formed between the tread and the sidewall that traverses the circumference of the entire tire on all four tires. They said this is a safety hazard to me and that these tires are very new to have formed this crack. They recommended replacement. The tire dealer I purchased the tire at is in San Diego CA. There has not been an accident or a tire failure yet.

TIRE SIZE: 235/50 R18 I was driving on the highway at approx 65 miles per hour in the far left lane when I heard a loud POP and then my car started driving weird. No warning lights came on in my vehicle prior to. I pulled over as soon as I safely could and when I stopped and got out. I realized it was my passenger rear tire that exploded. I called AAA and they put on my spare. The next day I was able to get my vehicle to an NTB. The associate there told me that my front passenger wheel also had side wall damage and that’s likely what caused my passenger tire to pop. He commented that my tread was really good on all my tires so it wasn’t the cause. Because it was two tires that needed changing I was recommended to change all four tires for safety reasons.

- The tire side walls blew out. There are several tears approximately 2-3 inches long. - It happened going about 55 and maintaining control of the car was difficult. My wife was broke down alone in an isolated area. - I took the tire to Twin State Ford in St Johnsbury VT where it was looked at by the service department. He commented that the sidewalls of the other tires were cracking. He confirmed there was a safety recall on the tires for the year make and model that matched my car but he said my VIN number was not included. Tire 235/55 R-17 99 T. the steering wheel started to shimmy while driving. I took the vehicle into the service shop found that the a section of the tire was indented and the inside of the tire had a bubble. The repair shop stated this was caused by the tread separating. The tire had to be replaced. The tire is 2.5 years old and the tread on the inside was heavily worn while the outside tread was in good shape. The replace tire indicator was still intact. I purchased this tire at the same time i purchased the driver side tire.
