Delphi Automotive Systems, LLC (Delphi) is recalling certain replacement fuel pump modules, part number FG1155-11B1, sold for use in 2005-2010 Honda Odyssey vehicles. The affected fuel pump may send an incorrect fuel reading to the fuel gauge possibly causing the vehicle to run out of fuel. The fuel gauge will always read 3/4 full to full regardless of the actual level.
Risk: A vehicle that runs out of fuel and stalls has an increased risk of a crash.

On certain vehicles, a seal in the brake master cylinder may be susceptible to damage which can result in a leak if certain conditions exist. The polymer content affects the amount of lubrication the brake fluid provides to brake system components that are exposed to brake fluid. If the brake fluid is replaced with a low polymer brake fluid, and the brake fluid is subsequently subjected to a manual brake fluid bleeding procedure, as opposed to an automated brake bleed procedure, it is possible for the seal at the end of the brake master cylinder primary circuit to become twisted within its retention groove. If this seal becomes twisted, it can result in a leak of a small amount of brake fluid each time the brake pedal is applied. Should a leak occur, after some time the driver will be alerted by the illumination of the low brake fluid indicator light on the meter panel before any effect on braking performance results. If the driver continues to drive the vehicle without refilling the brake fluid reservoir, the vehicle will eventually exhibit a soft or spongy brake pedal feel, requiring more stroke to achieve equivalent braking force. Eventually, if this continues un-remedied, braking performance will be affected, and will finally result in a low pedal and a loss of one braking circuit. Correction: Dealers will replace the brake master cylinder seal cup and the master power assembly if brake fluid has leaked.

On certain vehicles, during the self-check process that occurs shortly after each time the engine is started, the self-diagnostic software for the Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) brake modulator causes a condition that can allow air to enter the modulator pump. Over time, and after starting the engine numerous times, it is possible for enough air to enter the system to change the brake pedal feel and affect braking performance. Reduced braking performance could lead to a crash causing property damage, personal injury or death. Correction: Dealers will remove existing air in the brake system then apply sealant and caps to the VSA modulator to prevent air from entering the brake system.

When I stop at the red light with my brake pressed, all in a sudden the brake drop lower and the vehicle move forward. When I look up the safety recalls on my type of vehicle, there is a brake master cylinder safety recall in 2010. However, when I look up my VIN, my vehicle is not on that list. Based on the problem, it looks like my batch of Odyssey also has this safety recall issue. Probably Honda hide it to minimize the recall repair cost. I am the first owner and the brake master cylinder has never been replaced and no recall notice is being sent to me. Please help to investigate it. I will pay out of pocket to fix this issue first because I almost died with this hidden uninformed safety issue until the problem comes up now.

The contact stated that she turned the key fob forward and slowly turned it back the vehicle started. The vehicle was taken dealer where it was diagnosed that the ignition switch needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure reoccurred after approximately three weeks. The vehicle was towed to the same dealer where it was diagnosed that the mechanical part to the ignition switch needed to be replaced. I am reporting a safety issue with my 2007 Honda Odyssey. The left power sliding door latch assembly has failed, causing the sliding door to open while driving. The door does not consistently register as securely closed, and the vehicle’s alarm activates continuously, which has made the vehicle inoperable. This condition presents a serious safety hazard to the driver and passengers because the door cannot be relied upon to remain securely latched during normal operation. The issue has been ongoing for approximately six months and has progressively worsened. The failure appears to involve the door latch assembly responsible for securing the door and signaling that it is properly closed. I contacted the manufacturer, American Honda Motor Co., Inc., and requested assistance due to the safety nature of this issue. My request was declined unless I first obtain a diagnostic at my own expense, despite the condition being clearly identifiable and involving a critical safety component. I am requesting that this issue be documented and reviewed as a potential safety defect involving the sliding door latch system. The vehicle is located in New Jersey and is currently not in use due to this safety condition.

I took this car for a test drive. The dealer said they had repaired a number of issues such as front end work, power steering hoses, and power steering fluid. They said it had passed a safety inspection. The dealer handed me a list of all the issues with the vehicle which they chose not to repair, which include: 1) vehicle driver door lock/unlock doesn't work 2) Driver sliding door doesn't work 3) beeping when turning on power sliding doors (Doesn't beep if you have it off), tpms light is on (needs sensors maybe? dont know), 4) rear wiper inop Those are direct quotes -- however, on the test drive I found several other issues which were alarming. 1) A bad wheel bearing in the right rear wheel was extremely loud, sounding like an airplane taking off on the highway, this was not mentioned in any way before test driving. 2) The brakes are weak and the rotors warped, pulsating during braking 3) The radio did not work and gave an "Error" code 4) the seat belts have very dark markings on them either from wear or mold 5) missing rear passenger side seat 6) broken rear ventilation (blower motor likely) I thought I should report this as it was not mentioned and upon checking online this is a serious safety issue. The passenger side back door kept forcing itself back open and/or closed. Depending whether we were trying to open or close the door. When it would force itself shut it has almost shut my head in the door. The door opened and then didn't stop and completely fell off the track and fell off. The door has always made an awful grinding sound when opening and closing.

ENGINE
Engine mounts need to be replaced and this is a known issue that Honda has not recognized to take care of the issue. The issue is caused by the vehicle going in and out of ECO mode. This causes wear on the motor mounts which now creates a safety hazard of the engine vibrating and causing more issues. Honda should be replacing these as a recall.
